Ray'alna tugged at the hem of her v-neck shirt for the hundredth time. Her uncle, dressed in a suit and walking next to her, smiled down at her. "Ray, stop fidgeting," he muttered, amused.

"Sorry, Uncle Tom," she answered, running her hands through her hair.

Ray, like her uncle, Tor-el, was from a distant planet. She had recently arrived on Earth to protect it's people from the growing threats of the universe. Her own planet had been attacked and subsequently destroyed. Her people were looking for a new place to call home. Her uncle, known on Earth as Tomas Harvard, had become something of a hero to Earth's people under the guise of Nomad and had developed allegiances with various other extraordinary people on Earth. He was bringing Ray, who was developing her own reputation as a heroine in her own right under the name Nova, to meet one of them.

Her uncle's secret identity was as a stock broker. He was quite successful, it seemed, and it gave him a good reason to be in Pacific City today to meet with another successful businessman in the region. Of course, that was just a cover. The meeting today was really between two heroes. It was just that only those two heroes (plus Ray) knew the real reason for the meeting.

"Ah, Mr. Harvard!" greeted a chipper young lady at the large desk in the front foyer of the fancy office building they had just walked into. Ray felt terribly underdressed - everyone else was in business attire while she was dressed in fashionably torn jeans and a v-neck t-shirt. Not that that prevented several of the men walking through the lobby from checking out her long legs, flaired hips, narrow waist and ample cleavage. She tugged on her red hair, blue eyes darting around suspiciously. Most of the guys checking her out were twice her age.

"Hello Angela! This is my niece, Ray Harvard."

"Pleased to meet you! Go ahead up!"

Ray and her uncle walked into the elevator, the door closed and the compartment began to rise, taking them to the penthouse office.
