The sound of her door locking had shaken Gabriel. She had told him that if he ever needed help she'd just be down the hall and would help him in any way that she could. She had said those words to him just the past night, and he had believed them and then he had gone to bed. This time she was taking extra precautions to make sure that he didn't break into her room and do her harm while she was asleep. It hurt him a little bit to think like that. She was afraid of him...afraid of the same part of him that he was so afraid of. He was supposed to be more powerful than this monster in his dreams...how was he supposed to do that? It had already scared her away.
He looked down at the floor of the church and slowly made his way to his own room. He wasn't likely to get any sleep tonight...he was sure the dreams would come and hard...and then what was he going to do. He was going to wake up in a cold sweat like he always did and then try to go back to sleep, keeping the cycle going endlessly...he had come here for help, and it didn't look like he was actually going to get any. Maybe tomorrow he'd try to find someplace else to be. It was obvious he was damaged beyond repair, there was no point in dragging anyone down with him.
