Why do guys wear underwear at all?

I also can't speak for all guys, but for me:

-The head of the cock is sensitive, so, depending on the material and fit of the pants, sometimes it's nice to have that layer between the two, otherwise I am walking around all day semi-erect to erect. LOL that is not always a good thing.
-Related to that is modesty. Sometimes I want to make the cock outline pleasantly available. Other times, not so much.
-Depending on how I am dressing, clean lines may be important, so the right pair of underwear (a boxer brief) will help with "the look"
-Some underwear is just sensual. Wearing it makes me feel sensual. It's good to feel sensually and sexually powerful on some occasions (going commando can also be sensual, so sometimes that is the option).

This answer is just so perfectly you Paul...I love it You put far more thought into your underwear selections than I do lol. But I can still relate to everything that you've said. It can set a mood for the day or evening. One of my favourites is a summer dress or skirt with nothing underneath. It's more situational for me. During the summer, pretty much never. During the winter, since I'm outside a lot for work in dress pants that extra layer for warm is needed. Shrinkage damnit!!!
