Hi Nyxie.

I’ve been a few times, loved the Dolomites, but that might be a haul from there.
 
I just looked...yeah that's a ways. We'll see what happens....I feel like I'm getting the travel bug again.

Whoopsie. Yes, it was more of stop for some supplies drive-by but we did get some olive oil. Probably one of the best we had in Italy. And we had A LOT of olive oil.
 
I love the travel bug. I am hoping mine wakes up here this spring. I am pretty sure it's been in a three year hibernation. (There were two trips in there, but not full wanders, both focused, to San Diego and then to northern Arizona.)

It's been a while for me too...I got back just before Covid shut things down. This trip will just be a touristy kind of thing but I'm starting to think about wandering again. I thought I might be done with that but now I'm not so sure.

I've never been to Europe....sounds like I need to get there.
 
Sometimes I like touristy vacation - stay at a touristy place, do touristy things, meeting interesting touristy people. All good in my book. I'm not a person who thinks you have to "go native" when you're visiting somewhere. That can be a great experience, but I don't really count those as vacations, more so immersive visits to other cultures.

Me too sometimes. They're 2 totally different things in my experience...and yes both good. I probably prefer going native lol...but we'll see how I enjoy this trip.

Traveling/vacation with the right person is fun. You and I. 😛

All joking aside, you will have a great time. i hope you get to unwind, let your hair down, soak up all the new experiences, eat good food and just have an amazing time.
