Obama admits he has no strategy on ISIS

The glaring question is, is our goal to destroy Isis, or manage Isis. You cannot do both. Once again the alleged Master of Communication has fucked up his message with conflicting goals, leaving our allies and the world giggle snorting and confused.

Agreed. But he probably meant destroy. Nobody is giggling, snorting or confused except you.

the only good kind of islam is when they are dead kind

No. He should have lied his ass off. No comment would be taken the same way as we have no strategy. He made the same mistake Bush made of thinking you should treat Americans like rational adults and not mewling children. He does that a lot though.

You just described 99% of his other press conferences....

I wrote about Obama and the Islamic State for Politico today:

The evil of ISIL has stirred nearly everyone around President Obama to ringing statements of resolve. Vice President Joe Biden says, “We will follow them to the gates of hell.” Secretary of State John Kerry tweets, “ISIL must be destroyed/will be crushed.”

The president himself? He says it will be “degraded to the point where it is no longer the kind of factor that we’ve seen it being over the last several months.”

Put to the rhythms of Winston Churchill’s famous call to arms in Parliament in June 1940, the Obama posture is, “We shall degrade you, we shall lessen you as a factor, we shall make you manageable, we shall hope that the attention of this great continental nation … turns to something else soon.”

What we have been witnessing the past few weeks, in real time, is the intellectual collapse of Obama’s foreign policy, accompanied by its rapid political unraveling. When Al Franken is ripping you for lacking a strategy against ISIL in Syria, you have a problem.

Obama’s view was that Al Qaeda was holed up in the badlands of Pakistan and you could drone it into submission. Then, if you stopped stirring up hornets’ nests in the Middle East, and demonstrated your good intentions, and pulled entirely out of Iraq and stayed out of Syria, you could focus on “nation building at home” and not worry about places like Mosul and Aleppo.

This, in a nutshell, was the theory of the “don’t do stupid stuff” doctrine.

Every particular was wrong.

There's no degrading they will just keep coming back. They must be utterly , and completely destroyed and in a most ruthless manor possible to strike fear into the heart of anyone who thinks Jihad is cool.
They have been burying people alive, kidnapping women for rape pleasure of their jihadists, beheading and crucifying people. This is well documented. ISIS/ISIL get a taste of nasty cruel Chinese steel.

An example must be made of them so that when people mention the name ISIS or ISIL the first thing they will remember is how ruthlessly we killed them (with air fuel bombs, napalm and anything else that is inhumane) and showed no mercy.

Unfortunately the US doesn't fight wars like that anymore. Wiping out every last trace of your enemy is now politically incorrect.

America has evolved beyond Islam, you want to drag us back.

I'm a New Yorker and a vet. I was there on Sept. 11 and watched a friend die in tower 1 where I use to eat. Bush decided to attack Iraq instead of destroying the country where Bin Laden was. I thought GWB was a joke. Japan attacked us on Dec 7th, we attacked Japan, not Korea. I never thought we would have another clown of a president like GWB. But this guy, our "President" has made our country weak. No one fears us or for that matter has any respect for the United States. We have become the best reality show on TV. Tune in next week for, the IRS, BENGHAZI, IMMIGRATION REFORM. and the star of stage & screen, Putin. And by the way, where's Waldo (Biden)
On Dec 7th 1941 Korea WAS a part of the Imperial Japanese Empire...Japan having annexed Korea in 1910.
