Obama: Elizabeth Warren is ‘absolutely wrong’

Nope. I live pretty comfortably and I want to bring people up to my level. I'm waiting for you to explain why so many computer companies are located in California. If less welfare was the answer Hewlitt Packard, Apple, Google, Yahoo and Netflix would be coming out of Texas or some other Southern State. But the reality is that those states don't have enough educated people to run a company like Lockheed Martin.

The reality Jenny is that we are all better because of the welfare not worse. States run by people like you are miserable shit holes.

look, just cuz you love living at the bottom ... doesn't mean you need to drag the rest of the world to your shit hole. that's the problem with your kind. well, besides being mentally fucked in the head.

I don't give a shit who created the plan. socialized anything is wrong

all you are doing is bringing people down, to a lower class

the end result is the same ... Sean, you are using tax payer money to supplement your way of life. end the slavery, support yourself

Answer why Silicon Valley and the biggest economy in the country are in the most socialized places Jen or shut up.

WTF, how is a high tech company "socialized" ... this should be fun

on the flip side, this is what your kind should model health care on and not failed systems like the UK/Canada's

He's making the argument that the education system and public services that existed in California prior to the tax revolt of the late 1970s and rise of Reagan/fall of America created the business atmosphere that allows a place like Silicon Valley to exist, which is true.

It used to be that CA had the best k-12 system in the world and the world's best public universities and they actually educated the graduates of the aforementioned k-12 system at basically no cost. It was the master plan of the state--up until that fuckhead Reagan became governor.

The result of that was modern electronics, nuclear power, two separate elements named after UC Berkeley on the periodic table, modern computing, the internet, etc--the basic things that shaped and defined post-war productivity and opulence.

Now, top faculty at the UCs are fleeing to private institutions, the schools are now more or less unaffordable for too many in-state students, and schools like Berkeley and UCLA are turning into finishing schools for the economic elites of the major cities abroad--mostly in Asia--and at home.

We also haven't seen a single major advancement in technology or the sciences in general that is as significant as what happened in the first 4/5ths of the 20th century since the tax revolt.

Exactly. Today we see better upward mobility in much of Europe as well. It turns out when you spend less of your money on school and health care you have more money to spend on starting up company or improving your education so you can move up in the world.

wake up asshat, Europe is a shit hole

again, you are thinking like a welfare fucktard

It's pretty much loathed on this side of the pond already, not least for the implications about the NHS. And similar treaties are being used, for example, to sue the Australian government for plain tobacco packaging.

But little real debate. And with Thursday's result, it's going through in Britain whether we like it or not.

If the Brits don't like it, they should not have voted Tory. Really, what were they thinking?!

Where in Europe is exactly a shit hole? Much of America is undeniably a shit hole and getting worse by the day. Not saying Europe is 100% flawless or anything, no place is and the closest I ever saw was Singapore on my way to Iraq. that place was the shit. Other than you could be caned for spitting on the sidewalk.

dude, you are a little simpleton unable to understand the real world. this is why you are so obsessed with welfare as you are mentally unable to be a man and take care of yourself

socialized health care is a retarded idea ... those that believe in it have never enjoyed 1st class health care.

You know countries like Chile (7) and Canada (6) have socialized health care AND are rated as more "free"(by the Heritage Foundation no less) than the greatest country in the world right (12)?

Anyway, you never answered my question: why did you stop selling your shitty e-books? Was it because you were tired of playing a girl on the internet.

Anyway, Warren is actually right on this one. Based on how well NAFTA turned out for American workers I'd wager this is a bad deal.

again, sure for your kind: aka the welfare class

there is a whole different world out there, if you get off your ass and get a job

I'm a cancer survivor and business owner--I'm just not a fucking mouth-breather who accepts everything that Rush Limbaugh tells him uncritically.

P.S. Most people who experience real illness in the US, either directly or through family or friends, come away very angry with the US health care system. Your comments make me think you've either rarely experienced a hospital stay in this country or are even less observant than you appear.

I too have had a few cancer surgeries in the US. I came away very happy with the US health care system and the hospital system. No complaints what so ever. One of my adult sons was hospitalized for over 3 months after suffering an brain injury a couple of years ago. Once again nothing by praise by the health care system and the health care providers. I think you are using your own experiences to make a blanket statement against a system you don't happen to like.

I'm still waiting for a counter argument to why Silicon Valley is in California instead of one of the other 49 states. We've got high taxes and have for a while, had a huge welfare state at the time these companies all popped up and things have not gotten better as we've moved away from those two systems.

It must because of its proximity to San Fran, and the yearly "Dykes on Bikes" parade.

But you just said you wouldn't even go to Europe so how do you know what it's like?

It's right up there with asking them to point out a version of a US "conservative" (LOL) approved government.....that is not a complete shit hole. They can't point out a single example of their bullshit working in all of recorded history. Yet they insist it will work despite complete and utter failure over and over again.

I wouldn't expect a response anytime soon....

clearly, you are just to mentally defective to understand the big picture

The big picture is simple. The welfare state pushed California to the leader of the pack in schools, created an environment with millions of brilliant minds like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates who literally built tech empires on their shoulders. Companies and the rich don't actually mind paying taxes if they can see the results or in many cases as long as it doesn't override the general benefits of the area in general. And then you should look at the rest of the world, the only reason Asian car companies even exist is because their home governments gave them a combination of hand outs to get started, do research, compete in the American market and also tarriffed US cars cost more over seas. This was during an era when the US was steadily shrinking it's government and refusing to help our companies and we lost a lot of ground.

The states that are run consistently by conservative values are all shit holes that sane people crawl over broken glass to get away from because you simply cannot live that way. They also tend to think electing business leaders not lawyers or politicians is a good idea when a country works almost exactly the opposite of a business. At the end of the day a business is supposed to turn a profit. A government is essentially an enormous charity, it's job is to protect and improve the lives of it's citizens. So putting a businessman in charge of a government is like putting a hospital worker in charge of an army. It ain't a bright plan even if it works from time to time.
