Obama in Cuba

These were dictators that were on the U.S. payroll either currently or in the past (no, I'm not joking). The deal was offered to Castro in 1959 and he rejected it. So, he never was "our" dictator. Worse, he was the Soviet Union's dictator.

We made the same mistake with Ho Chi Min, to react to their politics, rather then their actions. Fidel was financed by the CIA initially, look at the weapons and material support he had from the US before he succeeded, He was insufficiently subservient to his 'Handlers" and became a bad guy. He played the cards he was dealt and hasn't done too bad.

I rate him higher that Noriega, or some of the Contras. Ask Honduras how much they love America, bringer of peace?

Fidel was never financed by the CIA. Hell, Che was radicalized by the CIA/United Fruit Company coup in Central America. He may have been approached after coming to power and rejected the 'help'.

I don't disagree with any of that. The fact is, though, that buying leaders has often been the cheapest, least bloody way of maneuvering in a world that hits us in the face with realities we don't control. It would have been far, far better to just continue buying Saddam Hussein off, for instance, and tuning out his public posturing, then what we wound up with by ditching him.

then we have that obama ... the sorry wanna be failed dicksucker trying to become a dictator but lacks the skills necessary to be a leader.

But Castro did come to the US seeking aid, in '59, but Eisenhower decided his time would be better spent playing golf.

again, obama was MIA when shit hit the fan. obama is a pussy or a cuckold

someone needs to purchase a strap on for that obama so it knows what it feels like to have a cock

You have no idea how pleased I am that a wacko like you takes the positions you do. :D

And I'd be happy to see President Obama serve for eight more years just to watch you foam at the mouth. :)

After he came to power he tried to normalize relations. But he, his brothers and Che came to Cuba on a rust bucket ship and spent months starving in the jungle with limited support from local peasantry.

You sure do have to dig deep to find stuff to be incensed over.

Name a U.S. president in the last eighty years and you can be pointed to a photo of him standing in front of an image of a Communist leader (such a montage has been plastered on this forum more than once). It's all in a day's work for a president doing his foreign policy job overseas.

You can't think up legitimate issue to whine about?

As I said, we make peace with our enemies, not with our friends. Then we bribe them.

Anyway, all US Presidents in the last half-century (except maybe Jimmy Carter) have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity and have overseen gross domestic human rights violations. It comes with the job as currently structured. USAnians have no moral high ground from which to fling judgment.

Meanwhile, I look forward to NOT having to travel to Mexico to buy Cuban cigars. Not that I don't like Mexico; I just don't want to travel that far for smokes. Too bad I can't find sweet Veracruz vainilla cigarillos any closer than Nogales, Sonora. Hmmm, maybe I should check eBay... We'll know the Cuba blockade is over when Amazon drones air-drop freshly-rolled Havana stogies on our front porches.

UPDATE: Yeah, I can get vainilla cigarillos online. Goody.

It's not a legitimate issue that he worships at the altar of Che? Show me a picture of Reagan or Bush kneeling at the altar of Che? Show me these alleged photos.....provide a link as Renaud likes to ask? Seems pilot is caught up in his own bullshit again?

The photos have been run on this Web site (look for them in the GB). Do your own research. This sort of over-the-top crap as "worships at the altar of Che" is just the sort of thing that marks you as totally ridiculous and of no account in giving you any credence. There are some posters here who are rationale enough to consider even when I don't agree with most of their positions. But that certainly doesn't include you. You're just a standing joke who needs to have its jig petarded every once in a while. ;)

How do you know it wasn't a pose to say, "Yeah, we did it, we killed him!"

You're welcome, only one page back from your post.

And honestly that one behind Reagan is scary as fuck. The others are all harmless but that bust looks like something out a horror flick that's about to come to life and shoot lasers at you.
