It's not hard to listen. The words just don't strike us as particularly prophetic. We all suspected this would happen to some degree or another. Not concerned!
 
I find it so fucking funny that the chickenhawks want Obama to "put boots on the ground" in Iraq to clean up Bush's bullshit Haliburton moneymaking scheme ISIS yet have to credit him for taking out heads of terrorist groups.

It amazes me how the Fox News sycophants and echos always blame him for everything that's gone wrong, and pass credit on to others when it's been his decisions.

There is a good chance that book was meant to be a joke. That said nobody is particularly debating that US presidents are figure heads, the system is at least in part designed that way. Is the point that we should jail Valerie Plame?

Today, September 11th, we look back at what could have been had a Republican President not ignored six months of daily warnings of an impending attack, not bothered to read the report which was handed to him on his second day in office outlining the threat posed by Usama Bin Laden and whomever it was in the FBI who told two different field agents not to pursue reports of people taking lessons to fly planes but not land or takeoff.

Had any one of the above been acted upon, had the hijackers who were in this country under their own names, some of who were on terrorist watch lists, been stopped and questioned, had the private contractors done their jobs and looked at the x-ray images of the carryy-on luggage, thousands of people would still be alive and trillions of taxpayer dollars wouldn't have been wasted.

Instead, the party which failed miserably to protect this country, then compounded their incompetence by allowing the mastermind of the plot to escape because they were more interested in nation building than they were holding the person responsible, wants us to ignore and forget everything they failed to do.

Sorry, no. For the Republicans to claim they are better able to defend this country when the facts show otherwise, is just another in a long line of successive events which clearly demonstrate their bark is worse than their bite and have no standing to state otherwise.

Yes, September 11th will always remain in our memories, as should those who were wholly incapable of protecting us.
