Obsession with Haircolor

once again... I am changing my hair color....

my hair was once a natural blonde color... but I just HATED it....
so now I am dying it a light red color....

Anyway I was bored and thought I would share LoL

I don't really get that whole haircolor thing, actually. It leaves me seriously puzzled. Why do women change their haircolor so often? Mine's hair brown, always has been hair brown, and probably will be hair brown until it turns gray.

That said, I think I'll put highlights into it, so it goes from hair brown to just brown.

I change mine because of mood swings

that and people assuming that because you have blonde hair... you are stupid. :)

yea....but i Love watching them Shrivel when you prove them wrong...

If you want something really different, I'm going to have blue streaks put in my hair this week. I'm a natural blonde, did the whole red thing a couple of years ago and am now going to have blue. I think it's fun to do the color thing, but only occasionally.

Evere Since...

...I started using the Gilette Mach 3 as a comb, I haven't really had a problem with hair color :)

I am a natural ginger-

I never colored my hair. Although I did go through a phase when i wondered how i would look as a blonde. Im over it. I love my ginger hair:)

I don't get the whole hair coloring thing either.

I tried it once as a teenager and regretted it immediately.

I've learned to live with and love my red hair just the way it is.

Why color?

It's fun to do from time to time...but...(sigh) I will never be doing it again!

I dyed my hair blonde about 2 years ago and kept it up for a year and then I went in for one last time which would prove to be near fatal! I had an allergic reaction and my scalp started turning red then my head started getting hotter and hotter the beautician immediately started washing out the solution from my head...I left and went home but...my head just kept swelling to twice it's normal size. It was horrible the pain was indescribeable. My whole head was fire engine red! My ears looked like water balloons! I called the doctor and he told me to try some benadryl and if that didn't help stop the swelling then to come in...it didn't so I had to go into emergency and they gave me a shot of benadryl so they could get it full strength straight into my bloodstream or something like that. He said he couldn't do anymore than that I would just have to let it work out of my system. I woke up the next morning and my vision was blurry and my eyelids looked like huge water balloons...I looked like something out of a horror movie. My head hurt like hell! But...finally it worked it's way out and I am fine now! But...needless to say now I will never be messing with my haircolor ever again! I am now happy with the haircolor I was born with and I can live with the gray that is taking place!

My hair turned gray starting at age 23...by 30 it was quite gray or silvery really and strangers often stopped to compliment me on my hair color.

At 39 I decided I wanted a change. I got my hair dyed red, and haven't looked back since. A few people who knew me in the gray days say they prefer my gray hair, but the vast majority say that red hair suits my disposition (the truth if I've ever heard it) and my feisty personality. So be red or be dead!

The dreaded older men (see the thread) are always hitting on me because of my red hair. I'm just not into feeling sexual about a man who looks and acts old enough to be my father. I want someone young and lively. If he doesn't know his way about the bed, I'll show him!

Here's to Red!

I tried Auburn once, wanted something different than my funky colored black hair. The color looked good on me but alot of my hair fell out. I haven't touched hair dye since then. If I want to try a different look, I'm buyin a wig!

It's my hair that objects, not me....

I tried highlights last summer - no one counted on the fact that my hair would keep getting lighter...I was actually my natural dark brunette, bright red, and blonde all at the same time for about a month. My hair dresser then tried to "even it out" and I ended up with purple hair. Not flaming purple, just kinda eggplant purple. I give up. Oh yeah, and the grey hairs I have? They never took the color on anyhow.

I always did want to try blue or hot pink though...hmmm...

Grey hair since 14, damn both of my parents lol
Been blonde and so many diffrent shades of red, I miss being red lol
But, I figured, I'd give my hair a bit longer before attempting to dye it agin.

On the other hand, I LOVE men with thick silver hair...especially if they have green eyes.

I don't ask much.

so....anyone dye their hair.....

"Down There"

.... those who haven't compleatly shaven it all off....

mink, i tried it once 'cause i was tired of "natural" blonde statements...there's a reason they have warnings on the side of the box...that stuff burns!
