OCC Luna Lupa: Werewolf: T.A.

I think this one is fine for now, unless you plan on dumping a bunch of other informations, pages and pages of things like shifting and whatnot. In that case, I'd say just make an information thread, so we can all go back to look from time to time, and then have a character and story development thread so we can talk and plan different plotlines and things.

I was thinking about the past for my character, and I believe I have something we can go on now.

In college, his counselor is a glasswalker. He knows of Lenny's potential, and got him the government intern job locally, so that the sept near there (which he is a part of) could keep tabs on everything.
Of course, this circus thing went around, and the teacher realizes that Lenny could be more beneficial on the road.
Better?

Wonderful!

That sounds great Poo!

Since Rana is funded by the Glasswalkers and part of her goal is to find and train cubs that sounds just perfect!

Good job!

Everyone, give Poo a round of honey!

Succubus, im stumped, I have a char made up, just trying to figure out how to introduce him. HELP ME PLEASE !!!:D

On a serious note though, I do need a bit of help, also had an idea, kinda dealing with the gentlemen funding the operation, I'll pm you the details.

Behind the Scenes....

I took today off from carrying on the story to do some work.

Tomorrow those of you that have a Garou PC will be getting a PM from me about your speical gifts. You get three gifts: One for Breed, Auspice, and Tribe. They are unique for each PC.

If you chose to reveal them or not to the others is up to you, or can be your ace in the hole.

One of Cookies gifts, for instance, is Smell of Man, which means to animals and other creatures she doesn't smell like a wolfish woman, but like a human woman. *Those of you who caught that she was an avid horsewoman when horses and wolves don't get along may now go "Ahh Ha!" :)

And, because of some delveopments which will be occuring soon I want to remind everyone:

YOUR PC DOESN'T KNOW EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT OTHER PC'S, PLAY ACCORDINGLY. Unless you can point out something that has been written in the thread that would cause your PC to have certain thoughts about another PC, I'll discount your PC knowning "it".

HOlIDAYS:

Steiner, who plays David, will be out of town for...I think a week or ten days, and will be 'puterless while he visits family.

Anyone else have a time constrant?

Thanks everyone, I think we are createing something really fun and intresting here, and from the number of hits, others might be thinking so too!

:D

Have a good holiday, and I'll PM you all tomorrow.

Ok, heres my char

NAME: Philip Bhuvan

AGE: 33

RACE: Human, origin is from Chec Republic.
Speaks Chec, Polish, German, French, Italian, Hungarian, Slavic, Dutch, Russian and English

HEIGHT: 6'3

WEIGHT: 210 pds

EYES: Blue

HAIR: Dirty Blond

BUILD : Philip is a very developed man, broad shoulders and chest. Though he doesn't look like he's built like a tank, he does look like he could hold his own. His high cheek bones, and body make up indicate that he is of Eastern European origin, mainly Slavic.

HISTORY: Philip was born in Prague to a single mom. At the time of his birth the country was still behind the Iron Curtain, so his mother was forced to give him up to the state. His childhood was filled with state run orphanages and schools. By the time of his 17th birthday, Philip had enlisted with the KGB, due in part to his vast array of langues, due in part to his high intellect. Philip stayed with the KGB till the early 90's, working in the Intel department, translating codes and Intel from other country's. When his country, along with most of Eastern Europe gained their independence, Philip decided to return home and find a life that he had desired as a child. He resigned from the KGB and returned back to Checkoslovica, now known as the Chec. Republic.

Instead he found a country knee deep in unemployment, deeply divided still between the new forms of capitalism and those of the iron curtain. Philip decided next to head for the United States, he hoped that his background of languages would serve to get him a well paying job. While waiting to board a ship that would take him on his new adventure, he came across a scuffle between two men. As Philip made his way towards them, he noticed that something was amiss, as several more men appeared, entering into the fray. What happened next would forever change his life, for he saw the man break free, only to be shot down by a hail of bullets. As people screamed and ran for cover, Philip stood his ground, drawn to the events before him. He watched in amazement as the man who must have been shot 20 times or more, get back up. Again the group of men unleashed upon the man more bullets, and again the man went down. Philip ran to the man, his fear put aside. As he reached the man, he turned him over. The body was riddled with bullets, it looked lifeless, no spark of life could be seen. Just then his eyes flipped open, and a huge set of fangs appeared. The once lifeless corpse now was fully alive and was trying despertly to takes Philip's life. As Philip struggled to keep this creature of a man off him, a sword came swoshing down, chopping off its head. Philip looked up, the fear burning in his eyes.

His savior was one of those men he saw just moments earlier riddle this foul beast with bullets. The man turned the body over and drove a wooden stake into the creature. The man then looked up at Philip, slightly smiling, said, " Welcome to the world of vampires." Shortly after Philip was recruited by the group, which was funded by a covert arm of the Calthoic
Church, soon to become one of its top hunters.

His diverse background in cultures and languages, coupled with his KGB background made him a perfect hunter for the Churches operations. His team, mostly made up of ex agents soon assumed control of all Eastern European operations for the church, which referred to the covert group as the Crusaders of the Grail. Philip's new life was filled with bloodshed and death, all in the name of religion. Yet this story takes yet another twist, a twist into a world beyond his knowledge or that of most men.

On a operation in Budapest, Hungary, to wipe out a growing Vampire problem, Philip stumbled upon a conflict older then the one he was engaged in. His team had found what they believed to be a Vampires nest, buried deep in the hills, of the ruins of an old castle. As they made their way deep inside the caverns and hidden passage ways they stumbled upon a conflict. The foe, which resembled some disfigured wolf, fought the vampires. Philip and his team watched in amazement as the conflict unfolded into a blood bath, between the vampires and itself, which it won, and then turned on his group, as they were between it and the exit.

That day would become a turning point in Philip's life, though he had escaped with his life, but not without injury, much of his team didn't. What stood frozen in his mind was when he though his life was at its end. The huge beast had Philip by the throat, slowly squeezing the life from him. As his life slipped away, he looked the beast in the eyes, his defiance and lack of fear took the beast off guard. The beast tossed him to the ground, his glaring eyes never leaving his sight. He felt the hot breath of the creature against his skin, as it seemed it was sniffing him. " Your life is spared, but consider it belonging to me."

Philip spent several months in the care of the Cathloic Church, recovering from his wounds, giving as much information to the churches covert operations, in regards to what he saw. His tale seemed to disturb them, and every time he told it, it was to higher members of the clergy, yet their reaction was all the same. . . .grim. Now Philip found himself being called before the High Bishop, no reason stated as why. What had been the creature he'd seen, and was that why he had been reassigned and called before the High Bishop?

All these thoughts raced through his mind as he was being taken to the Bishop. He hoped maybe he could find the answers to these haunting thoughts.

OOC: Ok, hope this char is ok, if I need to change anything let me lnow, please feel free to leave any feedback on it.

The whole concept is certainly intriguing. I congratulate you on all your hard work for thise Polite, most people wouldn't put half as much into their threads.

I'm not really into fur, so I think I'll have to be a vampire. Are there any rules to follow there? Certainly rpg's have different version of a vampire. The stake, the immortality, night and day.
Or anything out of left field I should be worried about.

Are all vampires evil?

I was thinking of having my character evil anyways, perhaps an old friend of Philip's, but it'd be a good piece of information to know.

I was thinking this.

Tara Delainy.
246 years old. Originally from Holland. Dirty blond hair along with almost clear blue eyes. An athletic physique, feminine, but strong as well.
During the 18th century, a travelling army had come to her quiet village, ripping it apart. She was spared, by one of the officers, only to be raped and tortured by most of the army. She was left in a ditch, alone, naked, to live through all her pain.
A friend, someone she knew, an elder gentleman came to help her. He gave her a choice for revenge, and through gritted teeth she said yes.
The man turned her into a vampire, and they both went after the army. With her new powers, she destoryed the men that had hurt her.
From then on, she chooses to be an enemy to all of mankind (the word MAN, in there, very important) as well as the shape shifters, for, despite their own noble efforts, they protect the innocent.
She does not believe there are any innocent.

Do vampires move in clans? Could she be alone, or find other destuctive vampires who share in her demonic view of the world.
Thanks for your consideration.

Playing A Vamp

*tee hee* I had two three screens open and wrote the response in the wrong one!*

Playing A Vamp
At this time we simply aren't ready for a Vampire in the game....

A large section of the players don't even know they are Werewolves, the "Philip" character hunts Vamps, and the Carni hasn't even moved off the lot yet! lol.

However, if you'd like to build a vamp as a guest star challenage for the new cubs rite of passage when we get to that point, that would be great. However, you look like you've put a lot of time into this one.

May I refer you to the SRP boards? They have a set of vampire clans in play right now, and I am a guest star victim on one of them.

And hey, what's wrong with being furry! *puts hands on hips and mock scowls* If you want to be a kinfolk tho...we have a lot of single guy growlers and no women for them to date....*winks*

Also re: Vamps

I'm going to take Poos advice and create a OCC Luna Lupa Players Guide here a few mintues and leave this thread just for OCC PC building and stuff, and will be posting new info to that thread. It's what I'll be doing most of the morning in fact, so I"ll be online if anyone wants to PM me or anything on my Alaskan Saturday, currently 1127 AM.

For Balance

I'm adding the O'Mally's to the mix:

Colleen and Sean (who will join our merry group at the Apple Blossem Fest) are puppeters; she's a redheaded Fiana Thurage, he's her Irish kinfolk hubby.

We need another female garou, and we have no Thurage to run the magic side of our little sept. They will join us at the Apple Fest and run a Punch and Judy type puppet show for the Kiddies.

Also, if a player's PC get's killed and you'd like to become one of the NPC's, let me know. Everyone but Rana, I think, I wouldn't mind passing on to an experinced player.

Note to the Wise

Did you know your PM box has THREE files?

It has the INBOX
(where I can't send anything if your PM Box is full, hint hint)

It has the SENT MESSAGES file
(which you can access via the little box to the right, and moving the drop down menu to SENT MESSAGES)

And it has the MESSAGE TRACKING file
(Which lets you know if your friends and foes have read your messages or not. Also on the drop down menu)

At the bottom of each PM you send out you can chose if you want your message to be sent also to your SENT and TRACKING boxes. I personally chose to only use the TRACKING boxes as it retains also a copy of what I've sent, so why the double copy?

PM's

Let me see if I have this straight:

One Garou cub:
Poe

I've two Garou who don't know they are:
Lenny
Ken

I've got two kinfolk:
David (knows about Garou)
Philip (who is investagating and doesn't know he is kinfolk)

And I've got my NPC's:
Rana, Alpha and Owner
Cookie, Cook and 2ed in Command
Hides, Metis behind the scenes
Rain, Lupine Security
Wind, Lupine Secuity
Clix, Mechanic
Mr. and Mrs O'Mally, Puppeters and Magic weaver
Bucko, the real live wolf. (Son of Rain, who refused to to stay with his mothers pack in Alaska, like a good pup)

Am I missing anyone, did I PM all Garou their gifts?

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up about one of my gifts. I got the Smell of man, and like it says, it makes me smell like a man.
This means that even in wolf form, my character smells human.

Carny facts and Rides

An estimated 350 million people visit a carnival each year, making carnivals one of the most popular forms of family entertainment in the country.
There are approximately 500 carnivals that travel the United States each year, ranging in size from one or two rides to over 100 portable rides.

Most carnivals remain family owned businesses with second and even third generation ownership.

Almost all carnivals are sponsored by non-profit organizations which receive a significant portion of the proceeds from the event. Carnivals have helped to fund scholarships, buy needed fire or emergency rescue equipment, and generally help organizations fund charity work in almost every community in the country.

The carnival made its debut in North America in 1894 when Frank C. Bostock brought their model of an English Fair to the United States.

Carnivals remain one of the safest forms of family entertainment. The Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) reports more injuries from basketball pickup games, exercise equipment and billiard games than from carnivals. In fact, over 80% of all carnival ride related injuries are caused by "horseplay" and failure to follow the safety instructions given by the ride operator.

For those tech minded folks here are some links to the blueprints of our rides....Yes Gohan18, this is for you. ;)

20 foot 16 pass/Wheelchair friendly Carrausel

Alpine Bob 36 Adults/54 Children

Ferris Wheel 60 adults/90 children

Long boat, 40 adults/60 Children Tilt a Whirl

Dizzy Dragons

Little Wheel, baby Ferris

Dragon Wagon Mini Roller Coaster

Jungle Rock

Starship 2002

Landslide

Also: The traditonal Faves: Round up, Zipper, tornado, and Octopus.

Games: Red Star, Rubber Duckies, Pop the Balloon (darts), Ring Toss, Coin slide (must buy tokens to drop into slot to win more tokens and collect plastic chips for prizes), Basket toss, and Football toss. And (summer only) Dump the Dummie (must have good heckleing skills to be the Dummie). Bahahahahahah.

There are five gen trucks, one truck for each ride, one truck for the ticket booths, two trucks for the grab joints (from which cotton candy and turkey dogs are sold), One truck for every three games, two trucks for the prizes and food supplies, Cookies kitchen and our assorted RVs, Campers, Trailers and what not.

A carnival is really a traveling city, if you'd like an inside look try "Geek Love". Altho we won't be haveing a Freak show, we do have a Ten in One and a Puppet Show. "Geek Love" is a messed up story of a family who owns and runs a Carny and the mother and father deside to "breed" their own freaks. Very strange and at the same time touching story, told in first person by one of the children.

All those who think Polite spends way to much time on this, raise your hand....Rana will dock your pay accordingly. *grins*

Couple of Things

I got a couple of very nice compliments on our thread!

The nicest one, I think, was the non-verbal grunt of disappointment that a friend of mine gave when he realized there wasn't any more to read.

Kudos to you all! *claps hands*

Also, I may have another player who will be possiably playing a thurge. This is good news for me, because that means I can drop the O'Mally's and not have to play any other NPC's. We really needed a thurge, and didn't have one.

The question was: Polite, why do you do so much research?

The answer is: I often see in co-written stories a lack of common vision. If we have the same rough idea of what is going on, what is there, what we see....then we can write without fumbling over each other too much. To this end I will, when we get to diff places, post here a guideline of where we are and possiably a weather outline for the time spent there. Such as

Chapter Two: Apple Blossom Fest, April 10-30, Frist Change for Cubs

Held in a small town in Northern Washington, population 15,000, the lot site is two miles off the main highway. Behind the lot (North) is four sets of railroad tracks, beyond that some open cow pasture and beyond that a wooded area. Our RV's and stuff will be parked in the Railroad storage parking lot, next to the lot (East). Fair set up is local venders between us and the main roadway(South), customer parking at the Railway station parking lot (further South) with the main them being apples and related products, the Miss Blossom contests, 4 H stuff etc. Our lay out will be: Long Oval: Main gate South, gates to the East and West, kiddie rides our main line along the Southern gate, grab joints and games in the center and then adult rides in the back, Ferris wheel center of the back line up, Ten in One anchoring the East and House of Mirrors anchoring the West. We are in a very sucluded area, hardly within the town limits, in a light industrail area, which means at late night after everything is shut down there shouldn't be any civvies around.

Opening day is sponored by the Fire Dept and 50% of the ticket sales that day goes to them. We will be in the opening parade on April 10th. Exspected arrival date April 8th, which gives us two days to set up.

Weather should be misty in the early dawn hours, some light sprinkles every thrid day, rained out the last two days which causes some problems breaking the site down.

Major plot focus: Bringing the cubs who don't know they are Garou into their frist change in the House of Mirriors.

Next Stop: Town of Goldbar, Washington.

poe

poe knows he is garou he changed a few weeks ago he knows things about garou but he isnt trained in his garou gifts the only thing he has are those that come natually and the very basic

poe has gifts

i think you guy should know these 2 of my gifts keep them in mind they work automaticlly, naturally

Persuasion, this gift makes him seem as if his statements and arguemtns are imbued with added meaning or crediblity

Blur of the Milky Eye, The Garou's form becomes a blur, allowing him to pass unseen among others unless he does something to be noticed. Once the he has been seen, however, this is negated until the viewer is distracted by something else.

Gift Note

Before a persons change they can't fully use their gifts.

While some, like the smell of man and persuasion, leech thu anyway they can't be used to their full potentinal until the Change, others need to be thought about to be used such as the Milky Eye and Gift of Fire.

Gifts are taught by spirits, and while all of you have met spirits in the dream world via your sub con link to your heratage, until you actually KNOW and SEE the spirit world you can't fully understand them.

Much like if you hear Wind and Rain speaking in Garou it would sound familar, but you couldn't make sense of it until you've changed. Then you will know how to speak it and even write it.

Poe has gone thu his frist change, but not his rite of passage. We will be playing the Right of Passage in Goldbar, Chapter 3.

So is this where I sign up for the show? Kinda confused, happens when you are young and no guides to help you.

Yes indeedy, step right up and write you PC ideas here and we'll get you set up to either join us straight away or when we get to the Apple Fest.

To everyone else: Sorry I've been slow, it's been my holiday week. I actually had planned to catch up last weekend, but on Friday I had a surprize BD party and by Sunday night I'd gotten rid of the last guest, tho they were disappointed that I wasn't joining them at the movies.

When everyone is on the same "day" we will be packing up the carny and moving out!
