Closed for saedo.
Jade nearly woke. Her eyelids opened half way, only to close again as she grabbed for the hem of the blanket that covered her form. She turned, intent to roll on to her alternate side, only to find her movement blocked by the sheer placement of a cushion. Eyes opened once again, a confused and annoyed expression upon her features.
Oh yes, she was sleeping on a couch. The woman gave a groan and sat up, observing her surroundings in search of a clock. She was completely unfamiliar with the house, which was her brother's and had been for the past five years. She had only visited once before. Which was not to say that they were not close: they gamed online together consistently and spoke on a nearly daily basis.
Which is why when 'playing adult and paying bills' didn't work out as well as planned, Jayce had been there to save his little sister's ass. They lived a good three days travel by car apart, a distance the brother usually made by plane when he came home to visit Jade and the parents.
To think you almost moved back in with them. A shutter.
Jade stood and stretched. She was 5'7" and athletically defined with a hourglass figure. Nearly all of which was clearly visible in her sleepwear, being that of dark gray boyshort panties and a white wifebeater. The material clung possessively to the curves of her breasts and - if one looked hard enough - they'd be able to glimpse the outline of her thick nipples under the thin shirt. Perhaps because the natural form of her double D-cup breasts filled the garment so marvelously, causing the fabric to strain to fit her chest. The flare of her hips was similarly dramatic and she hosted an ass that wasn't gloriously large though it was a far cry from flat.
She had waited until the absolute last minute to admit her financial problems to her brother. He'd help, of course - and that was the problem. She didn't want his help, any more than...well, maybe just slightly more than it was wanted from her parents. As was clearly evident in present circumstances, as she padded barefoot into his kitchen to make herself some coffee.
Things would be better here. She'd find a job, move out on her own as soon as she was able...and in the meantime, Jayce surely wouldn't mind her helping around the house. He had never been much of a cook and even less of a housekeeper. But as Jade had these thoughts, a glance over the granite counter tops and the range showed immaculate cleanliness. It wasn't worth much thought, he probably hired someone.
"Rich bastard," she spoke out loud as she riffled through his cupboards for a mug. Lovingly, of course.
He had a dream job, too. He and his best friend, Jarrett, had met at college and started a web-based comic series. It was amazingly successful. They had since branched out considerably, doing all matter of reviews and blogs...people just devoured their work. Ordered shirts, posters, all that jazz. The two were now just over thirty, Jayce recently becoming 33 and Jarrett remaining 32 for the next three months. Roughly thirteen years in to their business ventures and it simply kept getting better.
Jade set a mug on the drip tray of the 'single serve' coffee brewer, added a cup to the basket, closed it, pressed a button. Wandered towards the fridge to search for some half & half. She opened the door, studied the contents for several moments...
"Oh, ah-- Morning."
She blinked. It wasn't Jayce speaking. She slowly turned towards the man's voice.
Relief. "Good morning, Jarrett," she forced a friendly smile. In her morning stupor, she had forgotten that her brother's co-founder shared his house. She barely knew the man. The woman was 28 at present, and being five years younger than her brother had really left her out of his college life. A year after he finished his education, she had began hers. They hadn't lived near each other since Jayce had been a teenager. But - Jade had met his best friend and business partner in person once before and followed his work online as closely as she did her brother's. So she kind of knew him...just not really. Jade turned her attention back to her task, grabbing the half & half out of the fridge before shutting the door. As she walked back towards her mug, she asked, "Can I make you some coffee?"
He accepted the offer, but wore a bit of a confused expression.
"Jayce must not have told you? Well, I suppose that's my fault. I called him yesterday and he flew me out here. I got in..." she found a clock at long last. "About five hours ago." She grabbed another mug and swapped it with her own before repeating the aforementioned process. She looked in Jarrett's direction. "I hope that you don't mind."
The house was large, with three levels. The basement was entirely devoted to leisure, having a pool table and arcade games and whatever else had caught their fancy since the last time Jade had been here. The main floor had the standard living spaces - a kitchen, a dining area, a main room, a full bath. A large office, which was shared. The upstairs had three bedrooms, one for each of the men, and one which hosted a mass of collectables and no sleeping space to speak of, and two full baths, one being attached to the master bedroom.
From what Jade had seen of Jarrett, the man was a sweetheart. And his response to whether or not he minded her staying was exactly to that effect. She'd smile sweetly and give him thanks before asking how he took his coffee.
Once prepared, she'd bring both mugs over to the breakfast bar. Jarrett had seated himself on a tall chair while Jade remained standing on the kitchen-side. She gave a sigh and leaned forward, balancing her elbows on the counter as she took the first drink of her beverage. The view she afforded her brother's best friend of her cleavage was completely unintentional. She had also failed to notice the slight hardness of her nipples when she had been standing in front of the fridge.
"Being an adult is bullshit," she observed. "The town I'm from...it doesn't really matter if you have a degree, the jobs just suck. So. I'm going to live here now. Not here here...I'll move off your guys' couch as soon as I get my shit together." The worst part of it was that Jade hadn't had a reason to live where she was raised, other than being comfortable there for that very reason. A few serious relationships had come and gone over her life, but as she had never been married or had children she didn't have anything concrete to hold her where she had been.
"But enough about me and how I'm going to be mooching around here for awhile... How are you?"
