But sometimes it becomes quickly clear that there's nothing to be gained with trying to either reason or argue with such people. Trust me, this is one of those cases--in spades.

Well, being that I'll be stuck here for a while, another 7 months until the contest ends, I thought I do something with the place. It looks so plain.

I figure that if I knockout these two walls and break into the next two threads, I'd have room enough for a pool table...and a bar. Scouries thread not only had a pool table, a bar, but a swimming pool up above. When he went on vacation, he gave me the keys and I took over his thread of a while. That was fun.

Anyway, being that I can't officially change the name of this thread from Off Topic Thread, a really dumb name. Really, who names their thread Off Topic Thread?

Instead I decided to unofficially name this thread, Parker's Place. Nice huh? It has a nice ring to it, Parker's Place.

Anyway, chapter 2 of my story Moms Against Public Drunk Nudity was just approved. At the extent that I'll be called on the carpet again for complaining about my stories and that I should just leave rather than voice my disapproval, I'm curious to see if it will post with the other stories for today and also where my story will be placed.

Understandably, being that I really suck as a writer, am just a hack really, is no doubt the reason why Laurel feels compelled to shit can my stories at the very bottom of the new story page. Perhaps she thinks she's saving me from the public humiliation of my stories by placing them there. Wow! I didn't know she cared that much about me.

I mean, really, just because I received my degree in English at a top university in Boston doesn't mean that I can write. I remember when my classmates were complaining about having to take 5 lousy writing classes to satisfy their English degree requirement, I took 30 writing classes, all that they had except for technical writing and business writing. Yuck!

When they balked at having to write a 4 page story for homework, I turned in 16 pages. The best compliment that I ever received was to make my English professor cry when he read my paper. Wow! He said my story was the best story that he ever read in his 30 years of teaching. Double wow!

Well, all that I need is to put the signage out front, Parker's Place, and I'll be open for business. They'll be a $20 cover charge to get in and drinks are twice what they'll be at a normal bar but...I'll be having dancing girls. Oh, yeah.

And my girls won't be up on the stage. My girls will be on the floor mingling. Touching and feeling is okay so long as you don't go too far. If you go too far then my friends, Angelo, Vinnie, Vito, and Carmine will bounce your ass out of here.

I have to go buy some paint, carpeting, and lighting for the place. It's so dark in here, isn't it? I'll be back.

I remember a time when there was more participation in the Survivor contest. I remember a time when we didn't know who was going to win. I remember a time when we all not only challenged one another but also supported one another.

I remember a time when we all held hands and sang songs. Okay, that never happened but I remember a time when the Survivor contest was a real contest and a real competition with writers fighting down to the wire and to the deadline to finish and post their story.

Now, here we have our own off-topic Survivor thread and no one posts a comment. Why is that? Are you all embarrassed for others to know that you're competing in the survivor contest? Maybe you're all busy writing.

How's everyone doing? How's your stories coming? Are you filling all of your categories? Are you having any difficulties with a category? Do you need a story idea? I think of more stories than I can write; I'm cursed that way.

The only hope anyone has of winning the contest is to fill every category.

Me? I've been biding my time. I've been taking a break while writing Moms Against Public Drunk Nudity. It started out as a Nude Day Contest story but now that it's nearly 100,000 words, not much of it is eligible to post on my scorecard. Now too big to post in the Nude Day contest, I decided to break it up in chapters.

Now that nearly half of the year as already gone by, my real writing happens. Now, I'm going to concentrate on plugging up all of my holes to fill not only every category but fill every story in every category, that's my goal.

I think I may be the only writer who's ever done that when writing as BostonFictionWriter.

It's amazing that some of the more prolific troublemakers on the Forum and General Boards don't take time from making their moronic comments to write a story. It's sad that out of more than 57,000 writers on this site, only a small sample of writers participate in this contest.

I wonder what Literotica will have if anything to replace the Survivor contest.

I go write now.

Good luck to one and all in beating me. I hope you all do. I'm tired of wearing a target on my back.

I couldn't help but notice that some contest participants, I won't mention names, are declaring immunities without posting them to their scorecards.

Correct me if I'm wrong Box, but for an immunity to be valid, I was under the impression that it not only had to be declared in the immunity thread by also the immunity had to be posted to the player's scorecard. I could be wrong but I thought that was the rule. Moreover, I thought the immunity had to be posted to the players scorecard before the next immunity drawing or all of those previous immunities are lost.

I mean, it's one thing to sandbag on stories but immunities too? Give me break.

Boy, that makes your job much more difficult. When someone isn't posting their immunities to their scorecard when declaring them, you must go through the entire year of immunity threads to matchup what category they claimed to their scorecard to make sure they aren't mistaken or cheating.

To be honest, that's a dumb rule. If the contestant must claim an immunity on the thread, then they should immediately post it to their scorecard. Yet, what does that rule or any rule matter now as this is the last year of the contest.

It isn't really that much harder because the immunity on the scorecard has to include the date won.

The announcements for theme contests appear at the top of the Authors' Hangout forum and there is one there for the Nude Day Contest.

I can't say anything about your complaint because I am notoriously a strictly stroke writer. My favorite kind of PC would be something like: That was a really hot story. My pussy was dripping before I was halfway through so I got out my dildo and came at the same time as Cindy Lou.

If you are getting pop up ads for porn chances are you have some malware happening. there is a thread about that in the authors hang out as it happened to someone else. Literotica doesn't do the pop up porn ads so I would guess your browser is being hijacked, sorry.

Sorry. This is really awkward, embarrassing actually. I took all the prize money, $2,500 worth or it in 7 years.

There are still six theme contests this year, but they have changed - for the better, I believe - since last year. The monthly prizes have apparently been reinstated, and there are annual contests for the highest ranking story in each of the 35 categories.

The Survivors' Contest is still going on, but there are no prizes offered.
