Oh my gosh yes! Gotta love a pasty white girl dressing in black with platforms! Put a little Otep or HIM on the CD player, and we've got the mood.

I WANNA KILT too! Really, really bad. But I hate to pay $400 for one. I was thinking of making one and a Prince Charles jacket too.

I can't wait to see your "dress up" pictures.

I'm in! Since I'm a bootmaker, I can sew (I used to sew clothes for my GI Joes),and I've had to hop more than one fence escaping angry bulls.

And what clan tartan would ye be awaring, lass?

'Evening sexy one!

I don't care what you wear as long as we get more pics... but you do need to do a boot series sometime :D .

I would probably have to go with the Dunkeld Tartan due to my relationship with Bethoc Dunkeld (Scotland Heiress) or the Atholl Tartan due also to my relationship to Crinan (The Grimace) De Mormaer. Those are just a few options. I would also consider an Irish Tartan.

Ah, TM's kin were part of the Gordon clan. I have yet to trace the Scotch branch of my people back, so I dunno what my cloth would be. My people are Scotch and Irish, but I've yet to find a direct clan affiliation. Though I found one document where it suggested we were part of the Innes clan. Tough when everything's been Americanized and butchered in spelling  .

And btw, good evening, bootmaker ;)!

Actually, the Tartan system is kinda bogus anyway, since they didn't really keep track of the clans for many many years. It wasn't until people thought it was important, that they started keeping track (and making them up). You can get a tartan made for just about anything. Some of the major businesses in Scotland have had Tartans made for them. It's weird. It's all a social thing.

I've been good Anne, I've missed bantering with you and TM. How are you folks doing?

Sorry pimped out your thread Lost. hehehehe.

Yeah, I was reading recently that the tartans marking clans really didn't come in vogue until the mid-late 1700s. The article said there was no mention of clan tartans at all in any of the period writings about Culloden. One of TM's ancestors died there. At least one.

We're doing good, honey! Had a boy with the 'flu to contend with this past week and everyone is still tired from the lack of sleep that caused.

And A can always spank us for the little hijack episode  ;) .

It's a special thing, knowing where your blood lines come from. There's a Highland festival next summer in NC and several members of my family are going, including us. I want my kids to know and respect their heritage, too.
