I'll be curious if you get any other answers but this post says Literotica was founded in the fall of 1998 and the first Wayback snapshot of http://www.literotica.com is from October 8, 1999 (or October 13, 1999 for the inside front page) so if there was another website, it seems it was short-lived. I'm struck by how similar the website was in 1999. For example, they had almost a dozen story categories that continue on today (more if you count categories that were later split, like Lesbian and Gay Male).
EDIT: And FWIW, the 1999 snapshot doesn't look like a new website. For example, they have the "New" icon highlighting Illustrated Stories. If the site was brand new, that wouldn't make sense. I suppose that may reflect carrying over content from an older site.
BTW, I doubt that the stories available then were dramatically different from those available now. Many of the categories were the same. For example, https://www.literotica.com/s/mari was added on 12 October 1999 and it's still here. This search shows you some really old stories. I'll bet there's a reason why the oldest stories are illustrated.

I came here first in about 1998 or 1999. Pretty sure the address was literotica.com and the chat was a bit different (in some ways better, in some worse). I guess there will be stories here that are over 25 years old.

I wondered if I was taking OPs request too literally. There was a lot of erotica on the net before Literotica.
Before the web brought the ability to "typeset" content, the Internet was heavily focused on ASCII text. For example, images were exchanged, but in a format that could be posted as ASCII text and then recoded to a binary image file.
This page talking about the start of Literotica talks about the existing erotic literature context and mentions ASSTR. While that site is gone, you can find mirrors (but not in Wayback).
And before websites, we had Usenet. Those posts are not entirely gone. For example, Google groups is defunct, but the archives of groups like alt.sex.stories, alt.sex.stories.moderated, etc. are still available.
And, finally, I have seen archives of even older erotica that originated on dial-up BBS systems that predated or coexisted with what we now know as the Internet.
So, if you wanted to read stories that are no longer on Literotica, those would be where you would look. A lot of that is either (1) exactly the kinds of things you'd read here, or else (2) stories that would violate Literotica's the content guidelines (sometimes in horrific ways, IMO). But a more demure example that you can find online is "Susie Q's Party Game," which I recall as being stimulating when I first encountered it.
