Smokey Robinson - Going To A Go-Go
Whenever I hear Smokey, I always think of this one
Who's Loving You

Saw him in LA years ago. He was excellent. Then the next day I was leaving and saw him at the airport at the baggage stand.

and, then hearing this song by Smokey I want to hear it by
Mickel Jackson

I thought these guys were f-ing awesome... up until I read an interview where the singer said he wasn't influenced by Robert Plant....

Cool song... really well done... fuck that singer. He can suck my left tit. He is influenced by Robert, and we all know it. Stop being a fucking baby...

..sorry... cool song!

Greta Van Fleet - Highway Tune
Hey Brenda I just sent this video to my son, and he said it looks and sounds like Robert Plant. Small world.

I was going to do a posting in the "your mood in a meme" or "your mood in one word"... and I realized, my mood can always be best described in music.

And right now... I'm ready to break on through to the other side. 🥰 🥰 🥰

The Doors - Break on Through (To the Other Side)

Robert Palmer died September 26, 2003 in Paris, France age 54
I didn’t know that. What a bummer he passed away so young.

Not gonna lie, I was kind of offended by his video with the trollops (might as well face it, you’re a dickhead in love)… but Shania Twain make it okay, but having a bunch of bimboy eye candy in her video. 🤣🤣🤣

None of those tarts, make or female had a clue how to play those instruments (which is why I was so offended) 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Unfortunately only the good die young
Me, I'm bad so I'll live forever...not!

The video...pffftt.

From the opening B flat chord... and the man eye candy holding the flying V is way up the neck... like fucking miles from where that chord is played.... these boys are obviously total tarts... and I love it! If Bobby Palmer can do it, Shania can too. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Shania Twain - Man! I Feel Like A Woman!

I like both songs not for the boys or girls but for the words and beat. Hey Rj, I'm living on borrowed time. All the people in my family died at or around 50 I over that! So when I'm gone you can just say another old rocker headed to that big concert in the sky.

Rock and Roll Heaven by the Righteous Bros.

WOW A white leisure suit!

As usual, I have a long, boring story.

Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi became friends over their mutual love for the Blues. According to legend,Ackroyd introduced Belushi to his favourite Canadian blues band:The Downchild Blues Band. That iconic Canadian band was the model for the Blues Brothers, right down to Ackroyd' harmonica, reminiscent of the harp of Hock Walsh, the band' founder (but, he admits nowhere near Hock's league).

Downchildis on their retirement tour of small towns in Ontario.

My favourites? Flip, Flop and Fly is pretty damn good. A solid rocking blues that brings the house down every time,

But,

One late afternoon / early evening at work after a very long, rough day, I sat down on a bench outside the restricted area the crew was working in, next to the foreman and a couple of trades guys. The job had gone way long, (not the fault of Maintenance or Engineering), but the guys were just packing up inside. We talked for a minute or two, doing a post mortem on another successfully handled clusterfuck. We talked about the next day's work, and what was left to do.

"What can I do for you tomorrow?"

He said " I've got everything I need, almost."

The bench broke into this song from Downchild:

Started listening to music this morning and felt it was a ACDC morning
(I can't believe this song is over 10 years old! Time flys)

AC/DC - Rock N Roll Train

why stop at the first track! it was all good

I agree! I love most of The Doors tunes… just a few that I don’t like (like “The End”). 🤣🤣🤣
Interesting......"The End" is a very dark tune, and of course this was the track that got them fired from playing The Whiskey a GoGO forever more.......but I don't mind that track

....Cowboy Junkies-"Blue Guitar".....I always felt this song had similarities to The End in the opening sequence.....with the symbols and bass line and guitar style..it has a dark edge to it as well

I didn’t mind it so much years ago, but after going through some dark times myself, I don’t care for any dark stuff now. I don’t need that around me. 🥰🥰

Yeah I can understand that!.....I play it once in a while when the mood strikes me! Some people are very "word oriented" when it comes to music, I have always been the other way for the most part, I get drawn into a song by its musical structure typically
