On the Air

Sorry I missed it. How did it go? More importantly ... how did it feel for you, Imp? :)

It was disorganized, but fun. Stella needs a more structured format to pace herself. I'd be happy to do it again. :) Maybe I'll even fill in for her as hostess if she needs it.

Hey, they are going to be in Scranton!!! Why aren't you??

Sighs...thank you for the link...I tried my best....

Having been a talk show moderator for nearly thirty years I will refrain from making any comment whatsoever on the host of that show.

I listened for about a half an hour, all the time I had to give, and very little was said about books or writing or authors and I was truly disappointed.

I think is was Allessa Brio? who has a wonderful speaking voice and I could hear the anticipation of finally getting to speak...but...it never happened.

will try again when time is available, thank you again for the link

listening myself now.
i don't dislike her style but i agree it was a bit disorganized.

but i loved hearing your voice again.
i think you should host your own show. i know you'd have many loyal listeners.

Actually, I'd like to hear your comments. Not harshly, but constructively.

I am Alessia Brio, and yes, I tried to rein Stella in a bit and steer the conversation, but I believe she needs a more structured format. She's just winging it -- and while it's fun, it doesn't serve much purpose from a promotional standpoint.

Just to let others know I did not ignore you, PM'd my comments. Good luck in finding more promotional venue's; radio can be a lot of fun...

Imp, I had a chance to listen to about 10 Min. and enjoyed it.

I will go back and listen to the archive.
You sounded really good. :D

Thanks, DP. It's rather odd how selective my "stage fright" is. When I'm just being me, there's none. When I have to perform, it's crippling.

Just listened and I loved Alessia's voice. the kids and dogs in the background didn't add much though.

Not too much dead air and it seemed like Imp was the only one aware that it needed to be filled.

Way, way too much girly giggling.

Scripting would be a good idea or at least a production meeting beforehand, and the host should know when she should let guests talk, by asking questions.

I quite enjoyed it, the part about the cons etc but except for Imp being there I don't think I'd be drawn back.

I know I've couched all that negatively but they're at least learning things.

Thanks, Gauche! :rose:

(The kids & dogs weren't mine, BTW.)

I'm considering the creation of an interview show for Coming Together, so this was kind of a test for me.

I have listened to the whole thing and you did good :D
You sound even better than I expected :p
One of these days I will meet you and talk in person ;)

I understand the stagefright, one on one I can talk forever, in front of a crowd it is choke city

Bumping 'cause I'm doing another radio show -- a more "professional" venue than the last.

On Monday 14 July from 9:30-10:00pm (eastern), I'll be on Passionate Internet Voices Radio show What's Hot in Romance with host Lillian Cauldwell. I'll be promoting Coming Together: With Pride.

You can listen live online, call in or use the chat room to ask questions, and download a copy of the show afterward.

Then, on Sunday 27 July from 9:00-11:00pm (eastern), I'll be doing a radiothon for ALL volumes of Coming Together. Pre-recorded excerpts (2-5 minutes each) from any vollume are welcome! Send MP3 files to me at alessia[at]eroticanthology.com using www.sendthisfile.com or www.yousendit.com (free transfer for large files) :D

ETA: Excerpts can be as explicit as desired. No holds barred.
