She didn't remember much of that night, just glimpses of smoke, fire and smell of twisted metal. Mackenzie had no idea how she'd ended up wrecking her car, much less how she was pulled from the wreck before it exploded. She did have a strange craving for steak, and for some reason had strange visions of yellow eyes, silver fur, and fangs.

The hospital had a totally different smell to it, and her body felt strange. The throbbing in her head finally subsided and her mouth felt like cotton, she was just about to ask for a drink when a doctor came in. At least she thought he was a doctor, he had the look.

Dr Mark Cox was making his rounds and was checking on his newest patient. Blunt force trauma from an auto accident. The surgeons had been amazed she'd lived and had done as well as she had.

Mark was fresh out of medical school. He'd been an average student and wasn't quite sure what to do with himself yet. He'd spent more time drinking, partying and chasing tail than a committed med student should, but it didn't matter now. In the six months he'd spent at the new hospital, he'd definitely stood out from the crowd. At 6'2" with dark brown hair, chiseled features and the build of a former college football running back, Mark was brimming with confidence, even bordering on arrogance. Some of the nurses and other female doctors had practically thrown themselves at him. He'd slept with a few, but realized he probably needed to be more discreet if he was going keep the respect of the staff.

The patient was stirring from her sleep as he entered. He went about examining her bandages and waited for her to come around a little more.

"Good morning... Mackenzie," he greeted her, glancing down at her chart. "I'm Mark. You've been through quite a little scrape. Care to share what you remember?"

"Not much, smoke, the air bags, and," she gulped, "sort of a sickly metallic smell. I suppose I was bleeding pretty bad?" Mackenzie wasn't the shy type, but she wasn't overly social, she was smart enough to be able to speak with anyone for quite a while on most topics. Her few friends called her 'friendly but not social.' She had five brothers who had made puberty a living hell and she'd spent most of her adolescence concealing her full breasts, and dressing down her curvy body. At 5'2" she was short, and her hazel eyes usually were concealed by glasses, but at the moment she could see him clearly. She'd been leaving her birthday celebration, having just turned 25 this week.

Which until this moment she had not even thought about, the pounding in her head had dimmed to a dull ache and her whole body felt slightly sore. "I don't suppose I could have more pain killers?" she asked.

"More pain killers? Sure."

Mark adjusted Mackenzie's IV to allow more morphine into her system.

"If you need anything more, just ask. You were very very lucky. They said your car was shredded and you're fortunate to still be in the land of the living."

Mark smiled kindly at her. She was a beautiful girl and her hazel eyes shone with a hint of that fighter spark that must have kept her alive against the odds. He'd always been a believer that the mind was part of the healing process as well. Her eyes told him she would bounce back.

He patted her hand gently. "You did lose a lot of blood. Your left leg is pretty banged up. I don't know how the heck it wasn't broken though. You've also got a concusion, some deep cuts in your chest and a pretty nasty rip in your throat. We think the fire department must have nipped you with the saw when they cut you out of the wreck. It wasn't too severe and seems to be closing nicely."

"Do you need me to call any body for you? To let them know you're awake? Family? Boyfriend or husband?"

Mackenzie tried to remember more as the pain killers kicked in, "I had a cell phone on me, if it wasn't mangled," she shrugged wondering how it could hurt so badly if every bone in her body wasn't broken. "My mothers name is Colbert, she remarried." Every time she thought about the accident her head throbbed, and the skin of her neck burned. "I work at the library, it might be nice to call them and let em know why I'm not showing up for work."

She ran her fingers through her dark hair, the thick locks feeling unwashed. "Any idea when I might be able to get cleaned up?" Mackenzie had no idea that as the first person she saw her body was mentally cataloging him as a mate.

"Good news on the cell phone. It actually made it through. It's over here."

Mark held it up from the nightstand.

"Hospital rules won't let you use it, however. But we can call your mother. I'll have one of the nurses take care of it for you."

Mark pressed a button on a small handheld device attached to Mackenzie's bed rails to summon a nurse.

"I'll take care of your employer, no worries." He smiled again, watching her fuss with her hair. She was really breathtaking. Through the bandages and bruises, those eyes sparkled and he found himself glancing over her womanly curves and ample bossom outlined under the bedsheets. Something about her seemed to draw him in...

"Oh... and cleaning up. Well, you really shouldn't get up for awhile. We can have an orderly give you a sponge bath, but I wouldn't put weight on that leg for a day or two."

Mark blinked for a second. When he mentioned her leg, he could have sworn he saw her knee bend slightly under the covers. She shouldn't be able to do that, he thought. She be in agony. And the morphine won't have kicked in yet.

Just then a pretty blonde nurse entered the room. "Oh you're awake!" she greeted Mackenzie. "I'm Sharon. I'm on of the nurses here. What can I do for you?"

As Sharon spoke, her eyes dreamily wandered over to Dr Cox.

"Mackenzie would like to have her mother notified that she's awake," Mark said, his own eyes never leaving Mackenzie's.

"Ok," Sharon replied. "Mackenzie, can you give me the number?" The blonde's gaze never left the doctor.

"The cell phone please," she said with a smile, her eyes casually taking in every physical detail. Her eyes narrowing at the blonde thing, as she felt the warmth of his hand as he handed over the phone. She flipped it open and recited the number, her voice as cold as ice to the nurse.

"I think I'll forgo the sponge bath, I think I'd rather be a little smelly then have someone else bathe me." She shifted her body slightly feeling her spine pop as things worked themselves back into place.

"If you could arrange a pedicure, I might consider you a miracle worker." Her voice was light and teasing as she moved her ankles, figuring that they had been the best protected part of her body. "Could you turn down the sound on these machines? It sounds like a dozen elephants are beeping in my brain."

Mark handed her the cell phone as if in a trance. Her voice... it just... compelled him.

Coming back to his senses, Mark blinked for a second. You're acting like a fool, he thought to himself. Quit oogling over her!

Sharon glared back at Mackenzie. "A pedicure? What do you think..."

"Sharon, please," Mark interrupted. "Just do it for her."

"What?!?!" Sharon stammered. "After the attitude..."

"Just DO IT." Mark ordered, raising his voice slightly.

Sharon left the room in a huff to retrieve a pedicure kit. "Bitch," she hissed as soon as she thought she was out of earshot.

"Sorry," Mark apologized. "I don't know what her problem is. She'll be right back to do that for you."

Mark glanced down, surprised to see Mackenzie shift again.

"How are you moving like that? You should be in a world of pain, morphine or not. And there's not much we can do about the machines. Frankly... they're not that loud. I can move one or two, I suppose."

Sharon returned a few minutes later with the pedicure kit, looking even more annoyed. As Mark prepared to leave and continue his rounds, he smiled at Mackenzie and added "I'll be back to check on you in bit."

After Mark left, Sharon rolled up the sheets and began to administer the pedicure. "My God, girl. You sure need this. Your toenails are... sharp." Sharon looked up at Mackenzie, a look of disgust on her face.

She hadn't really expected him to arrange a pedicure, much less order the pain in the ass blonde to do it. What really surprised her is that she did it, and Mackenzie did hear the nurse call her a bitch. Not that she expected any better, gossipy women tended to dislike her innate immunity to attractive men.

Mackenzie managed to not snarl at the nurse as she touched her feet. She wanted to snap her little neck, it was a strange feeling. She'd never been the jealous type but this perky little blonde thing made her want to claw her eyes out. Pain wasn't too bad, but at the same time it just present enough so she couldn't enjoy the lotion.

She did feel warm, usually her temp ran about 97 degrees but she felt really warm as Sharon, that was the nurses name stormed out muttering insults under her breath. Mackenzie closed her eyes and soon she was asleep again.

Her dreams were troubled, the smell of blood, smoke, and a large silver grey dog that seemed apologetic as it attacked her. She bolted awake in bed, coughing violently, it was night time again and the light of the full moon shown into her room. She looked out the window, wondering when her doctor might be back.

Her first thought was that he had smelled nice, but she shook her head, that seemed an odd thing to think. She noticed there was no catheder and adjusted her bed, slipping her feet over the edge. She gently hobbled over to the bathroom, and while she was there she got a drink of water. She glanced down at her toes and laughed, the nurse had painted them a sickly shade of green.

Looking in the mirror she was once again surprised that she could see clearly without her glasses. She twisted her hair up with one hand and splashed a little water on her neck. She still felt hot and she made her way back to the bed. Mackenzie felt even more tired than before as she laid down and fell back into a deep sleep.

Mark had stopped by to check on Mackenzie near the end of his shift and found her in a deep sleep. He scribbled a short note and left it on her nightstand.

"Mackenzie,

Hope you're feeling a little better. Call me if you need anything. Anytime. 867-5309.

Dr Mark"

As he drove home that night, Mark found himself thinking about Mackenzie. How HAD she made such a speedy recovery? He promised himself to take a closer look at her legs tomorrow.

Arriving home, Mark settled down on his bed and turned on a movie channel. "American Werewolf in London" was on. He'd seen it before and always laughed at how it blended humor and horror.

As he prepared to sleep, Mark plugged his phone into the jack on his nightstand. He always left it on in the event of emergency.

Mackenzie

She wondered why her mother hadn't called to check on her, or at least visit. Mackenzie had turned off her cell phone before returning it to Dr. Mark, she was a little fuzzy on his last name, but figured it had to do with her pain meds. Her muscles ached, and she was still feeling quite warm when the morning nurse came to check on her. She smiled at the much older and married nurse.

"Did anyone call about me?" she asked, figuring perhaps she was asleep and they hadn't wanted to bother her. The nurse looked apologetic as she said no.

"Oh well," despite it being her birthday celebration she had managed to avoid alcohol. She managed to sneak off to the bathroom after the nurse left. Her hair still felt like crap, and her vision was still 20/20. She was back in bed when breakfast came around, the eggs looked like eggs at least. She had no doubt the vindictive nurse Sharon would be back on shift tonight.

It was then that she noticed the note and wondered if it was his personal number, cell number, or merely pager number. Either way she memorized the number and then shredded the note. One of the morning nurses was nice enough to redo her toes, this time in a rather innocent girly pink, but it was better.

Sometime she realized perhaps she should call her mother, and was not surprised in the least to find out she'd been frantic all night and that the nurse had not called her. Her mother was on her way before she could hang up the phone. Lunch was pleasant, her mother had bought flowers, and not the stupid generic bouquet, but a dozen lavender roses.

Her mother did agree to get her a few things from home, "Sorry they haven't told me when I might be released."

"Okay, clean clothes, a comb," Mackenzie barely heard her mother rattle off a list of things she wanted. She simple smiled nodded and encouraged her mom to be quick about it, as visiting hours were not unlimited.

It was not surprising that she was asleep when her mother returned, or that Sharon had begun pulling petals off the roses every time she was in the room.

The next time she woke up it was dinner time, and she was ravenous, Mackenize snuck off to the bathroom all by herself before food came. She'd adjusted to the beeping of the monitors, and sat up while the food tray was swung un front of her.

"Good afternoon, Mackenzie," Dr Mark Cox greeted her as he swept into her room. "How's my favorite patient feeling today?"

Mark had been looking forward to seeing Mackenzie all day. He couldn't explain it, but knew he was genuinely attracted to this beautiful young woman.

As they discussed her condition, Mark reviewed her chart and examined her bandages.

"You're healing... well!" Mark exclaimed, baffled. "I... don't know what to say. Wow! Good genes I guess."

As Mark continued the examination, he remarked on the flowers and cleaned up a few of the loose petals that laid on the floor.

"These, um... shouldn't be falling on the floor so soon. I think your mother got some bad flowers.

"Mackenzie, I'd like to take a look at your legs, if you don't mind. I've noticed you move them a few times and I'd like to take a closer look."

As Mark pulled back the covers and examined Mackenzie's legs, Sharon entered the room.

"Let me guess... you're examining her to see if she's related to Chewbacca, right? God, get a razor for those legs," Sharon snidely remarked.

Ignoring her, Mark continued his exam.

"Mackenzie, have... have you been getting out of bed? These bandages are looser than they should be."

"And I just thought she was using her bedpan contents to wash her hair," Sharon muttered under her breath.

"What's that?" Mark asked, turning to Sharon.

"Ohhh... nothing," Sharon replied, a false sweet smile on her face.

Mark turned back to Mackenzie.

"Look, I know you're getting out of bed. You have to let your legs heal. Please, Mackenzie. I wouldn't want to have you restrained."

"Wouldn't want to have to do that," Sharon muttered wickedly.

"Dr Cox, can I have a word with you later? Say, a cup of coffee when our shifts end?" Sharon asked, batting her eyes.

Mackenzie was growing tired of Sharon, she wanted to pounce on her pin her to the floor and make her beg for mercy. She admitted she'd been getting up to use the bathroom as needed, and she'd always had strongly muscled legs, they seemed even more well toned than usual. She shot the blonde a dark look, the pesky twig probably shaved once a month if at all. Mackenzie had used a delipatory for her birthday celebration, and was a bit surprised to see stubble already. Then again if her body was healing quickly perhaps the rest of her systems were ramped up as well. She noticed Sharon's glare upon seeing her pale pink toe nails.

The bruises which should have been ugly purple black and blue, were greenish yellow. "Restraints won't be necessary, but my mother wants to know how much longer I'll be in here?" She smiled at Her Doctor, pressing her lips together to give them added color, before running her tongue along her lower lip.

She almost admitted to hating coffee, but figured it would just give Sharon more ammunition. "Doesn't this hospital have rules about fraternization? It would be so sad to see a great nurse like you get fired for breaking the rules," her voice went sickening sweet and she fluttered her eye lashes at the twiglike blonde.

It was unlike her to be so jealous, but right now she wanted to hurt Sharon.

"I was just asking him for a cup of coffee," Sharon huffed and stormed out of the room.

"Just ignore her," Mark sighed. "She's... catty sometimes, I guess. Maybe it's her time of the month."

Mark expressed surprise and admiration for how quickly Mackenzie was healing. He couldn't believe her left leg looked as good as it did. He explained that he'd need to consult with her surgeon and would like to have some other doctors take a look at her tomorrow, but she might be able to leave then or a day or two later.

"Mackenzie, I know this might seem improper, but... well, would you like to have a drink with me sometime? Once you're released that is?"

-------------

Mark had continued making his rounds while Sharon sat fuming at the nurse's station. Stupid bitch, she thought. I'll show her!

Near the end of the shift, Sharon snuck down the hall to Mackenzie's room. It was dark outside and the room was lit only by the pale glow of the rising full moon. Mackenzie would be asleep by now, aided by her morphine drip. Sharon crept into the room, orange nail polish and arm restraints in hand.

As she entered the room, Sharon giggled softly and whispered "Payback time, you skank!"

Once alone with him she felt warm inside her stomach. She found herself wishing she were better groomed, but his comment about Sharon made her laugh, and his question took her breath away.

"I have your number," she didn't want to let him know just how taken she was with him. Besides the last thing she needed was for Sharon to have another reason to hate her.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mackenzie sensed danger, and instinctively kicked out at the intruder. She heard a familiar cry and when the lights flicked on, Sharon was bleeding profusely from her nose, which was obviously broken, and orange nail polish was splashed down her uniform. She listened to her whine and evidentally she wasn't that nice to the rest of the staff, as few believed she was innocent in the whole thing. Sharon was quickly ushered out of room, the bloody mess was cleaned up and several nurses clucked over her making sure she was okay.

Mackenzie felt guilty and elated all at the same time and for the first time since her accident she slept soundly. She dreamed of running on all fours, hunting something, chasing someone, she wasn't sure what just that the smell was very familiar. She was growing tired of being restrained to her bed, and after breakfast snuck quietly to the bathroom.

She was silent, but the toilet flushing was not and she tried to look like a wounded puppy as a nurse rushed in and scolded her back into bed. Her mother had dropped off the items she wanted, but the nurses only let her have her comb. Mackenzie combed her thick dark hair, taming it into a long braid.

The next day, Mark and two of the doctors that had operated on Mackenzie came by to check on her. The doctors were amazed at how quickly her body had healed and the bruises had begun to fade. After questioning her for nearly an hour, the two thoroughly bewildered surgeons gave up and agreed that she could check out that day.

As they left, Mark lingered behind and gave Mackenzie a wry grin.

"I heard about the little incident with Sharon last night. You might be interested to know she's being disciplined today. She has to meet with the hospital administrator. She's in pretty serious trouble."

Mark walked around to the side of the bed.

"I don't know how the heck you recovered so fast, Mackenzie. But good luck. And call me."

He smiled and waved as he exited the room and Mackenzie's mother came in, eager to chew her ear off with well wishes from her brothers and other family members.

--------

Later that evening, Mark sat at a computer terminal in his hospital office, keying notes about the strange case of Patient 459J-3V2. 'Jane Doe', as he'd taken to calling her in his personal notes to protect her identity, had shown remarkable healing of skin, tissue and even, to some extent, bone. She'd be a fascinating subject to study, Mark thought, holding up a vial of her blood. What her blood might tell us about the human body's ability to heal itself. It was almost like she was superhuman... like Wolverine from the X-Men comics.

So what else can you do, Mackenzie? he wondered to himself.

--------

Sharon Collins was in a very bad mood. After the humiliation of the previous night's events, she now wore a huge bandage across her black and blue face. Then she'd been disciplined by her supervisor and had been ordered to appear before the hospital administrator. When it was all said and done, she'd be lucky to keep her job.

As Sharon prepared to go to bed that evening, she peeled the small bandage on her neck off to check on the gash there. Amid the previous night's melee with Mackenzie, one of the stupid bitch's toenails had made a deep cut on her neck. (How, Sharon was unsure. She'd just given her a pedicure the day before!) Surprisingly however, the wound had now almost completely healed.

Sharon shrugged to herself and began brushing her teeth...

--------

It was Saturday morning and Mark Cox was driving out to Carter's Mill Park for a jog around the lake. He always liked Saturdays. Besides having the day off, it gave him a chance to get a good early morning workout in and a mid-morning jog. The scenery around the lake was always nice too, Mark thought as he laced up his shoes in the parking lot, eyeing a pair of comely 20-somethings. Setting out down the jogging path, Mark moved at a leisurely speed, knowing he'd eventually catch up on the pair and would strike up a conversation. He smiled to himself. Mmm, I do love the hunt...

Her mother chewed her out thoroughly for getting out of bed, even as she prattled on about the doctors amazement at her healing rate. Mackenzie still felt groggy as if all her energy was going into healing. At least she was going to be able to eat a decent meal, and wash up. After what seemed like an eternity she was finally alone in her apartment.

She finally got her mother to leave, with the promise she would get some rest, and that she would be back for dinner. Mackenzie sighed, and after dropping off what survived the crash she headed to the bathroom filling the tub with hot water. She dumped some salts in and listened to her answering machine.

She didn't want to deal with her car insurance but went ahead and called back. She was relieved that things were already in motion, and she could pick up a loaner car at any time. Mackenzie slipped into the hot water, letting the heat seep into her skin. For the first time she was able to see all her body at once, and it seemed just a little off, not the bruises or scars, but something else she couldn't quite identify. Her legs seemed more buff, her stomach less pudgy, her full breasts seemed perkier somehow, she figured it was just her imagination, or after effects of the drugs.

She took the time to shave her legs again, not noticing when she knicked her ankle as it healed before she could see blood. Mackenzie took care of her armpits, and then drained the tub. She looked herself over in the mirror, trying to figure out what was different. The tub had drained and since she had time she started a shower to clean her hair.

Her hair had always been dark and thick, but it seemed longer right now and she took her time to wash the long tresses. She stepped out of the shower and wrapped herself in a towel, knowing it would take an eternity for her hair to dry.

The phone was ringing, it was one of her brothers asking if she needed to be picked up for dinner. She said she needed more time to get ready and would see him for dinner. She put the phone down and headed to her bedroom. At first nothing seemed quite right, finally she slipped on her only black bra and matching panties. Her pants were all a little loose, and she finally settled on a dress.

She hadn't worn it, she got it for her birthday from coworkers. They had joked that her clothing fitted her job a little too well. It was the perfect little black dress, simple, elegant, and fabulously cut. The dress ended just above her knee, and considering her short stature it helped make her look taller. The v neck with lace trim set off her decolletage, and her legs looked fabulous. She looked like one of those women in the perfume adds, stunning.

Mackenzie slipped on a pair of black stiletto's and was trying to figure out what to do with her hair when her brother showed up and whistled.

"Damn, you cleaned up pretty good."

She had laughed and joked that the bruises were hidden under the dress as she quickly combed her hair and flipped up the wet hair deftly in a quick twist.

"You been working out?" he teased as he squeezed her arm playfully.

Mackenzie pulled her arm away feeling threatened and very nearly punched her brother. "Sorry, I think the healing process ate up a lot of fat, you know how bad hospital food is."

"Sure, yeah." His tone was no longer playful and they went to dinner.

It was strange how she could feel so isolated while being surrounded by family and friends. The many drinks that were sent her way was also a new feeling. She tried turning them down, but eventually one of her sister in laws declared that you never turn down a free drink. Her brothers helped her identify the type of alcohol in each and she drank her share. After all she wasn't driving tonight, and had the good and bad luck of having a high resistance to alcohol.

She finally convinced them she would be okay home alone, and her mother drove her home. Mackenzie quickly slipped out of her dress, shed the shoes, and feeling warm was debating wearing nothing to bed. She slipped her bra off, her breasts seemed firmer as her fingers drifted down along her skin. She wiggled out of her panties and yawning slipped between the sheets.

Her dreams were filled with running, chasing, but it was a strange perspective, as if she were down on all fours. The next morning she felt strange, and she growled as she slipped out of bed. It was Saturday and she fixed a big breakfast, her appetite seemed to have grown and her tastes in meat changed. She used to like things well done, but last night she'd ordered her steak rare.

She noticed all her clothes seemed looser than usual, and figured she might as well go shopping. Mackenzie had a chocalate brown bra, that she usually wore for special occasions but something drew her to wear it today. She dug through her plain panties to find a pair of panties to match, then pulled on a dark brown suede skirt, a v neck top she'd gotten as a gift but never worn, and a pair of high heel boots.

It was lunch time before she thought about the doctor and at some point she'd programmed his number into her phone. She flipped it open and dialed, wondering what he was doing as she suddenly got a craving for ice cream. She was headed to the ice cream joint as the phone rang.

Mark had just returned to his car from his jog around the lake and was pulling on a sweatshirt when his cell phone rang. He was surprised and excited to discover Mackenzie on the other end of the phone. After exchanging pleasantries, he asked how she was feeling. The conversation went on for about 40 minutes and they found themselves laughing and speaking openly beyond their previous doctor-patient relationship.

Feeling confident, Mark suggested they have dinner together that evening. There was a nice new Italian restaurant in town that was getting good reviews. They could have a drink and then dinner. Afterwards, they could go to a dance club down the street. Mark's heart soared when Mackenzie agreed.

The rest of the day was a blur. Mark showered, groomed himself and put on a fashionable dress shirt, slacks and blazer. A bit formal yes, he thought, but he was a doctor. He was the Catch in this little hunt, he smiled to himself.

They had agreed to meet in the restaurant's bar. As Mark sat awaiting Mackenzie, he was suddenly surprised to spot Sharon at the other end of the bar. She was wearing a low cut blue dress and the bandages from her face had been removed. Now there was only a faint bruise, concealed mostly by a heavy layer of makeup and fake tan cream. Spotting him, Sharon waved, but then wryly turned and whispered something into the ear of the large bodybuilder type accompanying her. The man looked surprised at first, but his expression quickly turned into a large grin and he leaned into Sharon and kissed her lips. After a few seconds, he'd begun kissing his way down her neck. Sharon's eyes darted over to Mark, making eye contact for a second before he attention shifted back to the brute molesting her neck. "Enough already," she squeeled, annoyed by his overzealousness.

Mark sighed and shook his head. He was starting to wonder if Mackenzie might not be coming when he suddenly spotted her making her way toward him. She walked, seemingly in slow motion, her long dark hair forming a mane around her that seemed to almost billow as she moved. The bar crowd seemed to clear out of her way as she walked. Men seemed to gape and oogle, women seemed to narrow their eyes, some scowling in jealousy, others looking on in awe. Their eyes remained locked the entire way as she made her way from the entrance of the bar room to his place at the bar.

On the opposite side of the bar, Sharon noticed Mackenzie and hissed.

Mackenzie hung up the phone, feeling that strange warm feeling in the pit of her stomach. She'd almost convinced herself that his interest was just that of a concerned doctor, but now as she leisurely licked the giant waffle cone of ice cream, she was begining to wonder. She'd picked up some slacks that fit her, and less bulky tops but nothing to go out in. She finished the ice cream and decided to see what she could find.

Something sexy, but not slutty, provocative without inviting groping. She tried on a lot of dresses and the sales girl was quite helpful, and Mackenzie was just about to give up when a maroon dress was flung over the door. She slipped into the dress, the neckline was simple, and covered her ample breasts, but the plunging backline meant a bra would be impossible. She almost considered not trying it on, strapless bras didn't come in her size.

She figured what the heck and slipped off her bra and into the dress. Mackenzie was stunned when she looked into the mirro, the dress couldn't have fit better. The dark red color looked stunning against her creamy skin, and somehow her breasts rested just right against the sinful silky material. She didn't even look at the price tag as she decided to buy it.

She picked up panties to match and found a pair of dangerously high heels to complete the outfit. She was excited and nervous as she got ready to meet him, and let her long dark hair flow down the bare skin of her back. She stepped out of her car and immediately sensed eyes upon her, she smiled and felt her hips sway a little more as she walked into the restaurant. The envious and angry stares completely went over her head as she spotted him.

She thought she could smell him from the door, but that was impossible, what was even more impossible was the scent of that slut nurse Sharon. Of all the places she could be, Mackenzie ignored her, striding over to Her Doctor Mark and said hello.

"You look nice," she commented, biting her lower lip as she'd almost said he smelled good. She hadn't bothered with make up, her full lips naturally had a nice wine stained color, and her skin was amazingly clear. She wasn't used to not wearing glasses and so didn't consider eye make up.

Mark was completely blown away by Mackenzie. She was breathtaking. He hadn't realized, while tending her, how truly beautiful she was. What amazed him even more was how healthy and whole she seemed now!

"Mackenzie," he greeted her, leaning in and giving her a soft peck on the cheek. As they came apart, the look in her eye startled him for a moment. It was almost... predatory?

"You look incredible. I'm so glad to see you up and... um, fit again."

In truth, Mark didn't know quite what to say to her. Her skin looked healthy and colorful. He'd never seen or heard of anything like this before.

Mark offered her his stool at the bar and they enjoyed a glass of wine before dinner and chatted. The conversation ranged from their respective families, interests, childhoods, and aspirations. They were so engrossed in the conversation, they completely missed the hostess twice when she came looking for them in the bar to tell them their table was ready. On the third try, the hostess finally found them and interrupted their conversation. Mark nearly jumped when Mackenzie half snarled at the poor girl when she touched Mark's arm and said "Excuse me, sir?"

On the way to the table, Mark walked behind Mackenzie and admired her bare back. So smooth with a hint of firm muscle showing. And her beautiful firm buttocks. She must really hit the gym, he thought.

After the clearly flustered girl had led them to their table and rushed away, the conversation continued. Mark extended his hand part of the way across the table and was soon hold Mackenzie's hand, lightly stroking her fingers with his thumb while her own long nails slowly traced patterns in the palm of his hand. Mark had just inquired about what Mackenzie did for a living when the waiter came to take their order. Mark motioned for Mackenzie to order. He planned to have the homemade 4 meat lasagna and request a nice bottle of wine.

As he listened to her place her order, he found his eyes drifting down her neckline, taking in the curves of her abundant breasts. So firm, delicious. Mmm, that's what I'd really like to have for dinner, he thought deviously to himself.

--------

In another part of the restaurant, Sharon was bored to death. Sammy, her date, was a complete him-bo. Nice to look at, but so substance. And the sense of humor of an 18 year old frat boy. She sighed to herself, abruptly stood up and made her way toward the ladies' room.

On the way there, she spotted Dr Mark and the auto-wreck bitch, Mackenzie. They were laughing, holding hands, clearly engrossed in conversation.

In the ladies' room, Sharon fumed. Mark was going to be hers! They had flirted and gotten along marvelously before this week and this little bitch came along!

Mackenize never could understand women like Sharon, who were attractive and continued to play mind games. Mac was more straight forward herself, undoubtedly from growing up around five brothers. Such thoughts were quickly dismissed as they spoke about life, liberty, and the pursuit of adulthood. She was surprised at the possessive growl that came from her lips when the waitstaff touched Mark. She offered an apology but the poor girl was already fearful of her.

She put a little extra sway into her step as he followed her to the table. She only had interest in him and was oblivious to all others as she sat down, and casually flipped her long silky dark hair over her shoulder. Her arms looked pretty buff and she enjoyed the feel of his hand against hers. She loved lasagna, but no one matched her mothers, so ordered the baked ziti and a glass of the house red.

She smiled as Mark ordered lasagna and upped her glass to a bottle. She could feel his pulse through the thin skin of his wrist, and wondered how she seemed to instinctively know where the pulse points were, her eyes drifting along his neck as they spoke.

"My job is a lot quieter than yours. I'm a librarian," she admitted to having a less than glamourous job. Her leg was casually swaying under the table, her legs crossed, and she felt the strange impulse to run her foot up and down his leg. She blushed faintly, "I'm not usually this bold." Mackenzie felt that strange warmth in her stomach spread, it was intoxicating to just be around him. Her body was responding to him, and she wasn't used to the warm feeling at least not with someone she just met, and unknown to her, her nipples had hardened and were proudly showing through the dark red silk.

Mark was engrossed in their conversation and was suddenly surprised to feel her foot brush against his leg under the table. When it continued to rub against his and she apologized, a smile slowly crept across his face. She was beautiful, sexy and her forward nature only compounded his excitement as he felt his manhood stiffen and begin to rise. There was something so alluring about this woman. I was almost like a pull… a subtle tug, drawing him to her. Making him want her, to be with her, to possess her. It was different from what he’d felt for any other woman in the past. He’d had his share of girlfriends and flings. But never had he been so drawn to a woman so quickly. Mackenzie’s amazing recovery only added to the mystique that surrounded her in his mind.

As she spoke, he noticed her nipples standing on end, pressing through her dress. “Wow, she isn’t even wearing a bra,” he thought. “They’re so firm...” Mark found his mind drifting, imagining his face buried between them, kissing and licking.

Mark unconsciously licked his lips and felt flush. She seemed to smile a bit. Could she… sense his discomfort?

He suddenly realized he’d stopped talking and had been brazenly staring at her chest. And rather than becoming self conscious, she seemed to almost subtly move her chest forward slightly and tilt her chin forward, giving her eyes a seductive look.

As the evening progressed, they drank the bottle of wine, ate their meals, and continued to trade flirtatious banter with each exchange becoming progressively more suggestive. By the end of the meal, Mark eagerly suggested they walk down the street to the dance club they’d discussed.

As they walked, Mark put his arm around Mackenzie’s shoulder. He rubbed her warm skin gently, admiring her soft skin and defined back.

The feel of his hand against her back caused her pulse to quicken. She found herself thinking of things she rarely thought of on a first date. Then again it wasn't exactly their first date, and being her doctor he did know certain things about her medical history that well you just didn't reveal so early in getting to know someone. It was strange how she felt she knew him having only met him a few days ago. Their conversation flowed as easily as the wine, and the walk seemed all too short, and the dance club was packed with people. She immediately drew him out onto the dance floor, glad for a reason to press her body up against his. Her fingers wandered from the back of his neck, down his back, to his hips, and that nice ass of his.

Everyone else faded away into the background, as all her focus was on him as she pressed herself against him, blatantly proving that her nipples were rock hard and her whole body was highly sexually charged, just waiting to be released. She craved him, it was a strong almost animalistic desire to fuck him. She was glad she wasn't wearing a shorter dress or she might have been driven to have him right then and there.

She had this strange mix of desires, to attack him rip his clothes off and have her way with him, blended with the desire to slowly lick him all over and tease him endlessly, to romantically merge with him in a leisurely love making all night long.

Mackenzie finally gave up fighting her desires and whispered in his ear, "Shall we take this somewhere less public," the view of his throat, awoke primal urges inside her and she restrained the strong urge to open her mouth wider and bite him.

As their bodies pressed together in the club, he felt that tug again. This time it was undeniable. He wanted her. More than any woman he'd ever wanted before. There was something raw, passionate, wild about her.

His fingers danced around her body, subtly touching her arms, shoulders, back, and hips as they danced. He teased her, closing in as if to kiss her, then leaning back and away. He smirked at her, clearly enjoying this, seeing how badly she wanted him.

When she whispered in his ear, he'd heard enough. Without a word, he reached up, touched her cheek, ran his fingers back to her ear and then down her neck. Their lips drew close and he kissed her passionately. His tongue danced about her lips, teasing, then plunging into her mouth. His free hand touched the inside of her thigh and slid up the inside of her dress. For an instant he touched her panties, which were wet with her burning desire.

Mark wanted her. He really wanted her. But he knew she wanted him even more. This gave him a feeling of power that he revelled in. He wanted to keep teasing her, working both of them up. He wanted to see how crazy he could make her. Oh, she was going to be something else, but he wanted to see how bad he could make her want it.

Mark took her hand and led her off the dance floor and toward the door. As they went, they nearly collided with Sharon, who was standing near the bar talking with two different men than the one she'd been at the restaurant with. When she saw them, Sharon looked surprised at first, but her surprise turned to a look of fear when she made eye contact with Mackenzie. Something about their former patient scared Sharon, sending a chill up her spine, making her want to run and cower.

Mark shrugged and they swept past Sharon and out the door. "My place," Mark said, leading Mackenzie to his black Mercedes. As he opened the door for Mac, Mark pressed his body against hers, kissing her passionately. He again slid his hand up her thigh and up her dress, this time seizing her panties and giving a sharp and unexpected tug, tearing them away. He stepped back, smirking.

"Get in the car," he gruffly ordered her as he walked around to his side.

Mark smiled to himself as he climbed into the driver's seat. He couldn't wait to carry her up his stairs, throw her on his bed and fuck the hell out of her.

She flashed a dark smile at Sharon, showing off her sharp canines in a nearly feral grin. Mackenzie enjoyed the look of fear and panic on the poor woman's face as Mark guided her out of the club. The walk back to his car was quick, her body trembling with need and desire, fueling her legs to take long strides.

She'd been surprised by the boldness of his hand sliding up her dress, it was so unlike her to be so fearless. When he ripped her panties off she wasn't sure whether she was pleased or pissed off. Whether to snarl, or growl in pleasure. She told herself that anything that burned this hot would eventually burn out, and even that thought didn't stop her from getting into his car. At the tone of his command she ever so slowly got into his car, buckling her seatbeat as a reflex.

Of course as a doctor he had a fancy ass car, and while she knew he bedded plenty of women she wanted to make him hers, to drive him mad with desire, to make it impossible to think of any other woman. She licked her lips and a small part of her thought of whether she would ever get the scent of sex out of her dress.

She wanted to urge him to go faster, but at the same time a strong compulsion to ask him to slow down. Every corner was a nightmare, every last moment yellow light caused her pulse and blood pressure to soar. Fear was mixing with her desire and the mix was slightly unpleasant, as if at any moment she would change or the world would change around her.

She could feel the blood pounding through her veins, and forced herself to keep her eyes open despite his breakneck driving. She didn't feel like herself at all, but before she could protest her strange condition the car had stopped, and she had managed to get out without tripping on her high heels. She felt clumsy one moment, and daringly acrobatic the next. When his mouth landed on hers again she couldn't think, much less act upon the thoughts flooding her mind.

When the kiss ended, she felt light headed, and dizzy, as if suddenly all the alcohol in her system was flooding her bloodstream. The street lights seemed bright, and before she knew it she was leaning heavily against him. And then, there was nothing, no sounds, no smells, no dreams, just a darkness that descended upon her like a favorite blanket.
