I'm getting my Masters Degree in Library and Information Science, my new position is at a very good, established library - I'll be a research specialist.

Yep! Basically it is was the hard work that I put into one of my classes, the professor recommended me to the people at the new position and I was hired almost immediately but then had to go through the process of getting a salary I could live on - but the fact that they were able to work with me on it speaks to the quality of the recommendation and of the position itself.

Ooo so do I! I've looked into what type of employment background I would need to have to apply to as a librarian there and it surprises me that it's very basic needs and amazing salaries. Maybe someday.

Well currently I don't have a specialization. When I move into my new job I'll be focusing on law, corporations, finance, and the stock market. Personally the financial research I don't find all that interesting but the end result will be.
Ideally I'd rather be immersed in the humanities though.
