One Way or Another (PM to join)

Most people would be surprised of me wanting to become a lawyer. Even though I have a shy nature, I had no problems believing that I could do it. It'll just take some getting used to.

I couldn't help but laugh as he began using this car salesman tone, showing me around the classroom. The few people in the room raised their eyebrows, but if I learned anything last night, is that I shouldn't really pay attention to others. I barely caught him asking me on a date:

"How 'bout it? A date with a guy you just met not 12 hours ago."

I took a little bit of time to think about it, but in the end, I just sort of caved in. "Well this is a good seat. Sure!"

"Well this is a good seat. Sure!"

When I heard those words I felt ecstatic. So I just grinned and went back to my salesman voice said, "Great choice, young lady!"

I pulled the chair out and motioned for her to sit down. Maybe being a little corny and over the top did pay off when you found the right person. I took the seat next to her and asked, "I'll pick you up tonight then? 6 o'clock?"

I grin, going over to the chair and sitting down. He really wasn't bad at all and if I didn't know any better, I would say that I was liking him quite a bit. "I'll pick you up tonight then? 6 o'clock?" he tells me, to which I respond with a nod. "Sure thing."

And then, I glanced back at the room and judging by the amount of students going on, I would say that class was about to start.

Now, I'll be the first to admit, I'm not the world's best student to begin with. But with Alyssa right next to me, there was no way I was going to pay attention to the professor. Class moved fast and before I knew it, it was over. I glanced over to Alyssa and grinned, knowing full well that I was going to be on a date with her later tonight.

"I'll see you in a few hours," I said, quickly gathering my stuff. "I'll give you a call before I come over. Oh! And dress a little semi-formal I have a really nice place in mind." Giving her a wink, I walk out of the lecture hall and to my dorm to get some work done before getting ready for tonight.

"I'll give you a call before I come over. Oh! And dress a little semi-formal I have a really nice place in mind."

I smile as he winks and walks away. I go through my next class pretty easily, though at the back of my mind, I wonder how this date is going to go. Natalie was happy for me, so happy in fact, that she felt obliged to lend me her black dress.

I look at myself at the mirror and say "Well, I guess it isn't too bad."

I put on my jeans and a good-looking button down dress shirt.

I hope I look good enough for Alyssa. I thought. Picking up my phone, I dial her number. Two tones in I hear her pick up. "Hey! You ready?" I say, walking out the door. "I'm on my way now."

"Hey! You ready? I'm on my way now."

"I'm ready! Just waiting for you to get here." I say with a laugh. Natalie then points at my shoes, which were the same running shoes that I wear about every single day. "Oh Alyssa, you're so hopeless." she says, giving me her high heels. I mouth out a thanks and get back to the phone; "So, when do you think you'll get here?"

"So, when do you think you'll get here?"

"Five minutes. Look for the black Camaro," I say. Getting a little nervous, I push on the throttle a little bit to get to my destination a little faster.

"See you soon."

Eventually, I thought that going outside would probably be best, seeing how that way, he wouldn't get lost or anything. So, after saying goodbye to Natalie, I head outside the door and wait for his car. Soon enough, I saw just what he described.

"That's probably him." I think to myself, as I look off the distance.
