Plot:
- In 2016, aliens came to Earth and "took control", through a combination of negotiation and conflict.
- A century later, the presence of the aliens -- called the Veetro -- is second nature to most humans.
- 18 years ago, dozens of Human children -- ages 4-10 -- were taken from Earth by aliens. They included our two initial characters, Leon and Anna.
- They were "processed" for suitability as "servants", shuttled to the Mother Ship, and transported away, never to see Earth or their families again.
- The children were divided into genders, and -- with a few exceptions -- males and females never saw one another...
- ...until it was time to breed and produce a new generation of Human slaves.
Leon (Sample 2-4-2):
- Image.
- Current Age: 24.
- Age at "selection": 6.
- Previous Assignment: General Laborer.
- Current Assignment: Breeder.
- How he typically spends his 20 hour day (pre-breeding):
- 4 hours a day doing heavy labor in the cargo hold.
- 4 hours a day doing custodial "make work".
- 4 hours a day in recreation/exercise with the other males in his Unit. (Note: he began with 18 other males, but as individuals were taken away to become breeders, enforcers, and other tasks, they never came back. There were only 8 men in the unit when Leon was taken away.)
- 8 hours a day sleep and "individual relaxation time".
