OOC/Casting Call: Curse of Calmus II

I got an invitation, thought I might take a look at everything.
I see we've got a varied group here, good to have when tracking down the forces of evil.
(always the forces of evil, never the forces of just the stupid, or the ignorant... no, just evil)

Well, I'd like to track down the forces of stupidity or ignorance, but there's no way to win against those foes. Although it would be funny to see a thread about that, especially with a fantasy setting like this one.

I can see it now, some fighters, wizards and thieves storming the Castle of Stupidity to save the Land.

Fighter: "Hurry, we must be quick if we are to save the races of our world!"
Wizard: "Yes, let us defeat the tyrant Stupidity so our uneducated farming society will be filled with intellectuals who will revolt under their oppressive, unfair system of government which crushes them so that people like us might thrive!"
All: "..."
Wizard: "On second thought, let's all go home and enjoy our system while it lasts."
All: "Yeah, yeah,...that sounds good."

Okay...the thread's up.

Sorry it took so long, and was so long, and forgive any spelling or grammar mistakes. I wrote it on the spot and barely edited at all.
Here's the deal:
Richard can be in the caves if he wants, or outside. It makes no difference. THe rest of you will have to find somewhere else to be. Pretty much anywhere'll do, but remember they ned to take shelter. The Nighthounds will tear you to shreds otherwise, and those little bats, they carry a...well, we'll call it a disease for now and rename it later, but don't get bit. If you want more info on them before you post, PM me and I'll toss you a bone.
Oh, and from the first one, not far away, there're a group of dragon hunters, a large group, though at this point, they're no hunting dragons. Remember that this place is remote, so any towns would be small and they'd be few and far between.
Any more help, just ask. Cool?

Oh, and Gm, there will be no fighting the forces of stupidity. I will not allow myself to be threown from my own thread.

Okay...

We've got most of the character introduced, and that's why we were waiting in the caves for in the first place. If you have something else to post about before daybreak, let me know, otherwise, the sun'll rise tomorrow (if I get a chance to post tomorrow, that is).
Our next step in my timeline is to get to an overview of the destruction and an introduction of those stumbling guys that Sabaka managed to slip away from.
Lady Siren...
YOU MUST POST YOUR CHARACTER INFORMATION ON THIS BOARD. ALl the Rpers here need to be able to view it.
Thanx.

Just to be save then...

Jocca, head to toe

Hair beaded with various items includeing bone picks, ansestoral bones, charms for luck, love, hunting, etc, old dead flowers, and colored strips of rag. Usually held back with a wide leather thong as needed.

Neck; the finger bone of her very own grandmother Iinri the Troll slayer for guidence and protection.

Body, doeskin under garments over laid with scale mail chest and leggings. Leather and metal gauntlets over leather fingerless gloves. Heavy iron rings on each hand; one for her family and clan, one her fiances betrothal ring.

Sheild, ironwood reinforced with steel strapping and set with spikes.

Boots, thick hobbled boots with plates up the shin and across the low back to protect the achiles tendon. Woolen socks knitted by Ma.

Weapons: Spiked club (spikes face one way only) long dagger (what a human might call a short sword) two short daggers, eating dagger. Was thinking about a couple sets of bolas, but need DM's Ok. To me it would seem a logical hunting tool for Giants for game.

Misc: Herbs for food and drink, tinderbox and flint, a bag of moss for those feminine needs, saddle bags that she uses in leiu of a pack (packs quite a wallop) needle and thread (study, for sewing leather and/or flesh..or fishing with) and bandages. Money pouch. A bag of sweets for children who are scared of giants. A small bit of silver mirror and some chalk. A few candles.

Name: Gabriela
Race: Elf
Class: Wizard
Hair: Emerald Green
Eyes: Ice Blue
INFO: Gabriela is an adventurer who always finds herself in trouble. She visits her people often to strengthen her ties to her magic but most of the time she is out and about. Though most of her race's magic concetrates on Healing Gabriela has taken it a step furthur. She enjoyed dabbling in the ancient arts of magic. True she is proficent in it yet but she is progressing and has potential, or so her grandfather tells her so much.

Okay...

I'm trying to work you guys all in, but it might take a few days or even more, as it's already been a few days.
GM, go ahead and slash away. basically, they're zombies, but not rotting and falling apart yet, as they've only been killed the night before (victims of those little nimble-like bats). They do serve the enemy however. You can even lead the group out of town if you want, since I only posted all that to get the introduction of these creatures out of the way.
PS: they're in the woods as well, so if anyone I haven't gotten to yet, which is about half of you or more, needs something to keep busy with, go right ahead and fight a little.

Maybe I'm not reading properly, so will ask:

When Jocca breaks free of the woods what would she see?

Depends...

On where exactly she is.

She might see poohlive's Sabaka, then again, she might see two dragon hunters standing near a tree speaking with an elven girl. She also might run head on into a running elf named Boguras or the female with him. So long as you don't take either of them out of character, which isn't much in terms of guidelines save that they're brave fighters and...well, elven, y'know?
The choice is yours. But if you're looking for something that might be interesting, you can PM me. I've got something tucked away that needs to come out early on.

Sorry guys...

I've been battling it out with AOL, and they've been getting the best of me as of late.
I've gotta change ISPs...

Aww. I fought with AOL.
Then I got Comcast Cable! Whee! Fast!

Sorry, guys...
Had too much going on.
And a second apology for the way the thread is going. I know I'm not giving you much to work with. Right now, I'm just trying to get everyone together. Bear with me. It'll get better...
