OOC: not another medieval thread...

Rothgar

I like him, Chewey, so long as he's not some sort of WarGod... We're looking for characters who aren't overly commanding. Welcome aboard!

Would I bring along a Wargod? Heaven forbid....hehehe. Not a problem, now I just have to find a way to work him into the thread.

Chewey

Room for another?

Hi ... I know I'm jumping in awfully late, but I was wondering if y'all had room for another player. *smiles* Here's to wishful thinking, eh? If you could let me know, that would be nice. Thank you.

Three late arrivals?

That's something different. WHy not? THe rules apply to everyone though. Post a character, ShadowedWhisper, and we'll decide if it needs revision before you jump in.

Chewey, jump in when you're ready.

the charechter for the quickest use, and of most east to fit into the story would more than likely by a human, or some kind of creature living within the human town we are about to enter, say there's a tevern in the inn we stay at, or we all go to a tavern LOL oyu could be a patron there, or the barkeepor whatever. just suggestions.

Yeah, actually, there is a tavern, and I think Garrett is waiting for us there already, if poohlive is still with us, that is. Might as well pick up two on our way through.

OK, I got a idea for a character, so I'm throwing it here on the anvil & i'll let you guys pound on him for a bit before I introduce him.

Name: Darious Loudwater
Race: Human
Occupation: Apprentice Wizard
Description: 5'11" tall, 175 lbs. Brown hair worn long, blue eyes. 19 years old. He wears the white robes of a apprentice of the Order of Arcanus. He carries a ironwood staff tipped with bronze, and a simple dagger on his belt.

Background: Darius was apprenticed to the Magus Falzin in the city of Manther. While he is a talented apprentice, with a firm grasp of the arcane arts, he does have one problem. Ocasionally, when he cast a spell it runs away from him, causing the magic to surge with unpredictable results. Two days ago he returned to his Masters tower to find it destroyed, and his masters body broken and bloody in the antechamber of the tower. His master had left him one last message written in his blood for him...RUN.
& thats what Darious has been doing. He does not know who may be chasing him, but he is moving steadly westward, away from the only place he has ever known & into the forgotten wilderness.

My Character

Name: Saielyn Wistarn
Age: 23 years
Race: Half-elf
Appearance: Brown hair worn in a thick braid that falls to her waist, and chocolate brown eyes, fairly large, giving her the appearance of an innocent. Five feet three inches tall, very slender of form, though she moves with an inborn grace common to those of elven heritage. Usually in the homespun brown dress, but sometimes can be caught wearing tan leather breeches and a white swordsman's shirt, underneath a tan leather vest. Always has a heavy black cape over her shoulders, and a dagger tucked into her waistband, though it is more for cutlery purposes than defense. She is thought to be a mute.

Saielyn has lived her entire life in the same no-name, no-consequence town. She can read passingly fair, and when she can get her hands on parchment and ink, her handwriting is flawless. Her family owns one of the taverns in town, and she works there cooking and cleaning tables. She is neither a striking beauty, nor a hideous creature. A rather middle-of-the-road sort of female, she will get a tip of a copper here and there from regular patrons. The absence of speech makes her memorable, though few know that is a conscious choice on her part. Skilled with her dagger mainly in spearing meat, she can, if called upon, put up a fight, if not a successful one, to defend herself.

She's tried to leave town twice now, but both times has been unable to do so. The first was for a lack of planning - she made it perhaps three days out, and then ran out of food and other necessary supplies. The second time, the winter snow kept her from putting her escape plan into action. Her parents, who are the only two people she speaks with, wish her to stay forever, and take over the tavern when they are passed away, but Saielyn would like to see more of the world.

So, let me know what you think, yah? *Smiles*

Hmm..lemme give it a try

Hope yer still accepting charras. This seems like a nice starter.

I'll bring out m'old RP character who fits into this setting.

Name: Ryfenn Sophia
Age: 120
Race: half Kagonesti elf, half Sylvan elf.
Gender: Female..(duh factor)
Appearance: Mostly go by the attach-ed purdy picture (I know she's not an elf, but that's how she looks) She has a few trinity knots tattooed on various parts of her body, as well as a barbed wire looking tattoo around her wrist. A stylized tattoo of wings is imprinted on her back, rarely visable, a connection to her past. One of her eyes is yellow, while the other is green. The yellow eye looks like a wolf eye, while the green looks normal.

(I know she looks kinda weird..heh)

I'd Like to join

Here's my character idea. Let me know if it needs revision.

Vyn
Race- Sun Elf
Height- 6 feet
Weight- 164 pounds
Eyes- Grey
Hair- Red

Vyn is a sort of wild boy of the woods where he lives. He has dark skin, unkept hair, and tons of scrapes and scars on his legs and arms. Although he is over a hundred years old, he still looks like an adolecent boy. Vyn has an incredible report with animals, he loves them, and they love him. The boy is very timid, and is afraid of new people, it usually takes awhile for him to work up the courage to approach or be approached by anyone, much like the wild animals he associates with. The young boy is not at all afraid of animals, though, just people. He will approach even the mightiest dragon out of curiosity, not seeking to slay it, but to perhaps befriend it. He barely knows any real words, but his skills with landscape make him invaluable as a guide or tracker.

Well, no one else said anything so...

ALright, Abraxas, just don't pull any power trips. Make him not too tough. We want to blend more of the real and less of the tough guys type characters. Not criticizing you in any way, but Tholin is a rougher type character than we want, and I have no familiarity with any other characters of yours...
Whisper, she'll work. Hop right in. Can't wait to get Saielyn involved.
Nightingale and Chiara, I need some info on what those particular elf types are, what it means exactly. As for Night's character overall, he'll work well, I think. If you want, you can always use the wolf we had earlier to bring him in. PM me if you want to use him, if notgo ahead and post.
Chiara, We need to know more. What she looks like doesn't make much difference, but we need to know what type of character she is, fighter, etc, and what her personality displays before we can say yes.
Sorry, for the absence, but I'm feeling much better now. Hopefully, I'll be on everyday again very soon.

yeah, i'm finding charechter interaction is up the ass right now, no one';s talking to each other, the way it's looking now, the soldiwers might as well leave, and i go home, and so on. there's not real purpoose to keeop together, we need to create somethign,

You're right Khad. I was figuring the baby might slow us down, and was only a way to get things started anyway. Problem is, we moved on action instead of growing plot before things slowed, so now we're a little lost. I figure, we can stay the night, give the newbies a chance to jump in, as it looks like that's Whisper's most likely entrance, then move out. Maybe if we have to leave, and stick together out of familiarity, maybe an attackon the village by some unknown evil, something the area is somewhat familiar with, but not something world-reknown. They run into the woods and find the talking wolf, possibly with Nightingale in tow? The wolf talks, so he can explain a small amount of what is going on as they move further away. He'll need protection anyway, as he was injured in the battle with the Wraith.

right, so my plan is to wait untill morning, and then hassle you about my crops and just what your trespassing was for, and you'll set things straight, and then for soemreason something will happen and you'll convince me to go, or creatures will burn the hell out of my farm so what beter do i have to do kind iof thing. sound good?

I'm thinking of bowing out. I feel like I'm not getting anywhere in the thread. I'll of course let everyone know what I decide.

Alright guys...

Do we want to try and ressurrect this, or just let it fall off the board?

Sorry 'bout how delayed this response is - I've been in the middle of a move. I'm still more than up for playing, and I'm most certainly looking forward to interacting with the rest of y'all. Later days.
