You can be pretty much whatever, but I wouldn't aim for Sith if you don't already have plans. Like we were saying, the Sith aren't a major part in this one. As per the New Threat, it might be better if we left them all NPC, as we haven't worked out all the details just yet. However, Paen and Orlanth might have different plans there.
They've just now managed to find an angle to get Tholin more involved, and that took some time to do.

This way, he is well funded. after the planetary bombardment and liberation of the planet by the republic, he ran to the Black Sun, after a short stint as a smuggler he went to Couroscant, and sold his services as a Mercenary and Assasin. a few years ago he was found by Tholin Azrial. trained as his apprentice/Padwan. still occationally goes off and offers services as a Merc, but is mostly with Tholin.
