Participating​

To participate in this role play:

1. Read the next page, "The Story".

2. It would be good to read the entire IC thread, but if you have done #1 above, you can at least get started.

3. PM the Host, JustABadBoy, giving him a rough idea of what character you would like to play and the general direction you wish your character to go in.

4. Once the Host responds, complete a Character Profile Sheet and PM it to the Host for approval.

5. Once the Profile is approved, post it to the OOC.

6. Write your introductory post.

7. Have fun.​

The Story

Introduction​

In 2049, after the collapse of society, two dozen people struggle to survive in a war-torn European City, hiding in the sub-basement of a collapsed building.

Kip Davis is their primary contact with the outside world. A sniper and urban warfare soldier -- and the last member of an ambushed American NATO unit -- Kip is operating outside his orders to aid the others, to get close to a particular female, and to find the wanted terrorist he and his team were initially sent in to capture ... and who might be a member of The Family living with him inside The Bunker!.

The Story Unfolds​

Post #1: Kip is introduced, hunting for a murderous sniper ... and a birthday gift for Kis.

#2: Kis is introduced, waiting impatiently for Kip to return ... maybe even with a birthday gift?

#7: Kip asks Kis to be his girlfriend. She says yes (in #8).

#9: Kip agrees to take Kis "topside" -- out into The City -- for her first time out of the bunker since she was a little girl. He does this because she's always wanted to see Topside; but he has an ulterior motive, too -- to be with her, in the Biblical sense.

#22: Kip and Kis arrive at a second underground hide away, which Kip calls "The Hilton". This is his own private hideaway. Over the next many posts, they will become intimate.

#23: Donald Prin, Kip's half brother, is introduced. (NPC; will only be used for background and exposition.)

#28: Vladi is introduced.

#47: Vladi sexually "punishes" one of his whores, Simone in front of Toshika, who is mentioned her but introduced in (post number to come).

Character Profile Sheet​

(Please excuse me if this isn't done right. I've never done a group role play before, so I stole some ideas for Character Profile Sheets from other role plays and tried to make it fit this one.)

How to fill out your Character Profile Sheet:

1. Erase all of the bull shit stuff (including these instructions) before you post your Character Profile Sheet, which I am going to just call the Profile from here out. Try to make your Profile easy for other writers/readers to use.

2. Leave the answers you don't want to answer blank, but don't erase them. You may want to fill them out later. (Being vague allows characters to "grow" as other writers' posts create opportunities; but being specific also gives other writers opportunities to interact with you and to know where you want to take your character. You choose where to be vague or specific.)

3. Be short and concise with the first questions so other writers can find information on you easier. The last question is where you can say anything you want about your character AND yourself.

4. Update your profile periodically. Characters grow over time, and their profiles should, too.

5. Obviously, only answer the questions that apply to your Character. If you are not in the Bunker, don't answer Bunker questions; and if you are not Topside, don't answer Topside questions.

6. ALL PROFILES SHOULD BE PM'D TO THE HOST FOR APPROVAL BEFORE BEING POSTED HERE. (I don't know if it was necessary to put that in bold and upper case, but the thread I stole it from did, so what the hell. )

-- Career soldier turned militant turned militia leader turned War Lord.
-- Currently is Commander of the National Freedom Party, a militia (see below).
-- Brutal and sometimes sadistic, particularly with women.
-- Controls the largest part of the City's downtown area, including the neighborhood around the Bunker.
-- Respects but despises the sniper he calls The American (Kip Davis).​

ESSAY including WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE YOUR CHARACTER TO GO:

-- Vladi sees himself as the future dictator of the City and possibly the entire country. He uses his control of the downtown area to solicit supplies -- military and non-military both -- from NATO and other agencies, in exchange for allowing humanitarian organizations to aid the people trapped in the city.
-- On a handful of occasions, he has ransomed down pilots or captured NATO units for supplies. Once, when he didn't get what he wanted, he executed a British NATO pilot on camera. (The recording was suppressed because NATO was actively working with Vladi on other issues, but the Press got a copy and it went on the air.)
-- Vladi has a great respect for the skill of the man he calls The American, Kip Davis. They have never met face to face, but they have traded -- supplies, people, and information -- via emissaries.

-- The National Freedom Party is a militia with political aims. Once a legitimate political party, Vladi took it totally militaristic after its leaders were lured into an ambush and assassinated.
-- Vladi actually prefers that the collapse of society happened. With a properly functioning United States or NATO, he would likely not have the power he does. As it is, the small amount of influence that the US and NATO have in his country -- or around the world, for that matter -- makes him a big fish in a small pond, rather than a small fish in a big lake.

-- WHERE I WANT TO GO WITH VLADI:

-- Vladi is looking to expand his power base. He is looking for people who can help him with that. Got a character idea?
-- Vladi is a sexual sadist and needs a female or two with whom he can "act out".​

-- Enlisted in US Navy at age 18.
-- Became a SEALs sniper.
-- Three years ago, was assigned to the NATO Mission on the perimeter of the Restricted Zone.
-- Two years ago, entered the Restricted Zone on a secret mission to capture a terrorist. His unit was ambushed and nearly wiped out; he was rescued and treated in the Bunker, and although he was ordered to withdraw, he didn't because he suspects that the terrorist they were after is part of the Family, in the Bunker.
-- In the meantime, he has fallen in lust -- possibly in love -- with Kis.
-- He wants to take her and others -- including Emma -- out to safety but can't get clearance. Until he does, he isn't going anywhere.​
