Rodger Flint

Age: mid 20's
Build: a little like a dancer, muscled, but fluid
Hair: black
Eyes: Hazel
Facial Hair: Mustache and goatee

Occupation: Freebooter

Rodger is a sometimes pirate, sometimes one-man salvage crew. He owns a very small boat (a littler bigger than the one Jack Sparrow starts with in Pirates of the Caribbean). He has no permanent loyalty to anyone, but rather works for whoever will pay him. In the past he has been in the employ of priates, privateers, merchants (sent to recover lost items), and once the Portugese navy. His occupation as a salvager is mostly accomplished in the same way that pearl divers in the South Pacific do their work: a good set of lungs, and a strong pair of legs. Obviously, he is an excellent swimmer. Currently Rodger is without an employer and thus has been scavaging whatever wrecks he can find.

His preferred weapons are a dirk, that he grips in his teeth when diving to ward off curious sharks, and a cutlass with which he shows surprising skill (read: someone professionally trained him to fence).

They are a good distance from Pirate Island but I'd say in the center of a few islands/ports surrounding..

BTW leia has this habit of draining the life outta men..

i tend to equate my characters with myself (yes, i can tell the difference) so calling my character "this guy" is like calling me myself "this guy"


by the way, working on my first post, how long has it been since the ship went down?
 
An hour tops when the ship sunk, but if he was in the area and heard the cannon fire, he might come to investigate it
