Not necessarily!
Strong, visceral emotion is a requirement in good fiction. An idiosyncracy like that brings verisimilitude to the work, a complication, potential conflict, and characterization all at once.
That one trait can make a story go places that it otherwise wouldn't. People crave that which they cannot have. Picture a couple who are really into each other. She gives up her pussy, ass and mouth and lets him deposit anywhere except for in her mouth. He loves her, but is upset by this. He asks her why, but she refuses to explain it to him.
She keeps secrets ...
Mistrust forms ...
He has unfulfilled desires ...
she has hard limits she isn't willing to overcome ...
His constant badgering upsets her. She wonders if he truly loves her or not ...
Her constant refusals bother him. He wonders of she really loves him or not ...
And so on. slurping cum might be the perfect way to end a real life blowjob, but oftentimes lousy sex makes for better erotica. Who the fuck wants to read about happy people anyways? We want to see 'em attain it, not go through the tale possessing it. At the very least, their joy must be threatened, and they must struggle to maintain it.
Stress, conflict and drama is grist for the fiction mill.
