Okay, this will sound odd.
I was watching Sue Johanson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday_Night_Sex_Show) and she was giving a young woman advice on either squirting or generally improving her orgasm, I don't recall which it was some time ago.
The advice was to push down like you had to pee.
I was also looking up (it was mentioned in a story i read) prostate milking, where the woman applies pressure to the prostate to increase orgasm in the male.
So I figured, what the hell may as well try something similar.
You need strong keigel muscles: shortly before you reach orgasm (this is pretty much a solo thing, you need some focus and unless she's on top you'll be busy with other things) tense your keigels and push down with your lower abdominals (somewhere between squeezeing your bladder and pushing out a fart... sorry for the visual) do this a couple times leading up to orgasm, then when you peak try to hold it for as long as you can.
I'd never had a solo orgasm that good before.

This is why I love Lit! Practical advice without the attached stigma of actually having to speak to a human
