Orgy on the Titanic

Richard Mathewson wrote an end of the world story. The sun is expanding and will consume the earth in few day’s time. The story begins after a group of young adults have just had an orgy. Our main character is spent and just wants to go home to his mom’s place so he can die at home in his own bed. It was written in the fifties in a mainstream magazine so the reader has to infer a lot. Still, it was an interesting take on the end of the world scenario. Not everyone embraces mass death with dignity which is most likely what would happen after the riots and looting and all hope is gone.
