I use to have the same wall paper as Scylis only mine was more of a animated desktop and the water around the dragon moved!
Ok, people here's how ya do it:
You hit the print screen button, then go into MS Paint. (It's easier to resize in MS Paint)
Go to Edit, hit paste, it will past the whole page.
Go to Image, then to Stretch and Skew to resize it.
Just type in 80 by 80 and hit enter.
It'll resize the picture, save it as a jpg or gif and then your set to upload!

then hit ctrl+V to paste your desktop.
Then resize it like Mistress described. Then go under File at the top on the grey bar.
Go to Save as.....
Then you'll have an option window pop up and that is where you can set it to be a jpeg..
There will be a window where the file name is, then a window below that, that says bmp.... click on the arrow, and it'll bring up options...... set it to .jpg and then hit save as....
Then that will upload better, me thinks.....
I am assuming that the reason why some of use can post a big pic of our desktops, that show icons clearly is because those who can are using Paint Shop Pro or some other shareware or pay editor.

I wished some more people would "show theirs" ... love to see all the creative, cool stuff and the personal touch we give our computers.
I'd show mine - but on mine are pictures of my sister's family and her kids, my niece and nephew ... and I am just not feeling comfy sharing my precious little darlings on a - excuse me - porn site, or show my sister's and her hubby's faces where I am not showing mine.
I guess you all understand that *s*
So basically it is a black background with three pics in the middle and to the left and right I have nice "boxes" that hold my assorted folders.
Pretty much typically german organized ..... if only my files were that organized too *sighs*
