Peace is a lie, there is only passion.

The night filled with blurs of light, two red and one green, the silence of the dead world broken by the hum of power as they whirled and the crack of static as energy blades crashed against each other. The two opponents were locked in a deadly dance from which only one would emerge. One, an old Zabrak, dressed in the robes of a Jedi Master and wielding the green lightsaber of a Consular Jedi, was slowly losing ground. The other, a red skinned woman dressed in tight black Sullust leather, sensed the Jedi’s growing weariness and pressed the attack with her double-bladed weapon. Long minutes passed as they circled and whirled around each other until finally, one end of the red saber got inside the Jedi Master’s guard and severed his hand at the wrist. The green lightsaber skittered off into the night and went out.

The Sith moved to impale the weak old Zaback but he blocked it with his one remaining hand, using the Force to absorb the energy of her saber. “You are weak, old man. Your reliance on the light has left you defenseless before my wrath.” she said as crackling lightning extended from her free hand, enveloping the Jedi Master. The Jedi fought valiantly to block both the saber and the lightning, but in the end the combined power overwhelmed him. He fell to his knees, exhausted and defeated, just as another Jedi, sensing her master's distress, ran down the ramp of the small Republic ship that had brought them to the desolate wastes of Korriban. Seeing her master injured and defenseless, she ignited her own lightsaber, running to cover the distance between herself and her master. The Sith laughed darkly. “You were wise to try and hide her from me, but now your failure will condemn her too.” The Sith smiled viciously as she swept her blade around and separated the Jedi Master’s head from his body like scissors through paper.

Lady Xira smiled as the Jedi Master succumbed to her blade. He had been powerful, certainly, but the Jedi were foolish to rely on the light side of the Force. Now she was faced only with the Jedi’s young padawan, of whom she planned to make short work. The human girl stood, lightsaber in hand, as if she believed she had some chance of defeating a fully trained Dark Lady of the Sith. Overconfident, as so many of the Jedi seemed to be. Still, she was a cute girl, it would be a shame to kill her. Perhaps she could be turned? The thought sent a shiver down Xira’s spine.

It had been a long time since she had any female companions, let alone an apprentice. Among the Sith, Xira had spent years fending off unwanted male attention. The Sith, like the Jedi, discouraged the attachment of permanent relationships though for very different reasons. But Sith believed in embracing their passions and lust was just another form of passion, more subtle than anger or hatred, but just as powerful. Perhaps because of this, many male Sith seemed to believe they were sexually irresistible and Xira had fought more than one duel over their wounded pride. She preferred women to men, but women were rare in the ranks of the Sith Empire. Making matters worse she was a Zeltron. Her body produced pheromones that made her more… appealing to humans and other near human races and even a few alien ones.

So this fresh young Jedi padawan tempted her greatly. Xira let lust for the girl flow through her making her more determined and cunning as she advanced with one end of her double-bladed lightsaber dipped low towards her enemy. She was now resolved to capture the girl. Striking her down would only free her spirit to become one with the Force. Instead, Xira planned to ensnare her body and then her very soul.

“Throw down your weapon,
Jedi
.” the last word dripping with scorn. “With your master dead, you cannot hope to defeat me. But surrender, and I will spare your life.”

She watched as her master fell, her heart conflicting with her mind as emotions became unchecked. Before she even realized the actions she had taken, she found herself facing down a Sith.
Her pulse quick, her breathing labored, she felt outraged, fury building inside her. Then, she braced as the Sith spoke to her.
She opened her mouth to bellow out a challenge, but the words of her teacher came ringing through her, 'Do not be the rage of the storm, but the calm at the center.'

She drew herself up, and began to relax her stance, her saber still draw. She did not even remember bringing her weapon to life, she was unfocused, angry, blinded by rage and hate. How easy it had been to just attack without thinking.
'I am at peace, my master is not dead, simply beyond me now, I will be calm and find my path' she repeated in her mind. Then she looked up at the dark side corruption.

"Forgive me, but I find the word of a Sith Lord." she said, using the polite honorific, "To be less than appealing." she finished as she turned off her Saber, but did not drop it.

She still had distance between them, more than enough space to bring her saber to bare again if needed.
