Painful Toe Curling During Orgasm

My wife's toes curl painfully when she has an intense orgasm.

She begs me to pry her toes back to a normal, relaxed position when this happens.

Obviously, this diminishes the pleasure she experiences from her orgasms since she can't just relax and bask in the afterglow.

Does anyone know how to control this? Please don't say "give up orgasms". Thanks.

Have her potassium levels checked. That could lead to the painful cramps that she suffers.

Missingmeds is totally right. It's the first thing I thought of, even before I opened the thread. Good sources of potassium are bananas, and I think yams, too. There are doubtless other natural sources. However, they are slow-acting. For a quicker fix, have some molasses, either straight or in cookie form. My husband's tennis coach urged his team to keep Archway Iced Molasses cookies on hand at all times, and had them on hand during matches.

When I was pregnant, I used to get fierce leg cramps, and this was of course due to the fact that pregnancy leaches the potassium right out of your system. I found eating bananas helped. Back then I didn't know about the molasses.

Potassium an option

Thanks for the potassium (k) suggestion. I'll pass it along to her.

If anyone else has suggestions, please keep 'em coming.

It may be a while, but I'll let you know whether the k works.

Thanks again!

Have her wear slippers? To keep her toes from curling? Or flip flops? Best ideas I can come up with...
Good luck.

in certain positions I tense my legs from knees down to my toes as I come, often causing cramps in my calves and toes. I try and put myself in positions where I can't do that or mentally try and relax my legs as I start to come. It keeps your calf muscles well toned and your pts (or at least mine) guessing how you do that.
It mainly happens when I am on my back, legs out, or on my side , wrapping my legs around my lovers waist, shoulders, neck :) or legs usually helps as does being on top.
I do lots of potassium too.

And here all this time I thought "He made my toes curl" was a joke!!!!

Unfortunately, not a joke

Unfortunately, the toe curling during orgasm isn't a joke nor just an expression.

Throughout our relationship (22+ years), her toes would curl during orgasm, but only occasionally was it painful. Once I finally learned how to really push the right buttons for her (which took many years), the orgasms became much more frequent and intense. The downside of this is the painful toe curling.

I think that changing positions would help, but I think that the price would be a "lesser orgasm". Call me greedy, but I'd like her to continue to have the intense and frequent orgasms without the toe curling pain.

I am still going to suggest the potassium, but please keep other suggestions and/or experience sharing going here.

Thanks.

I too suffer from leg/foot/toe cramping. I'm going to try the molasses thing. I'm even having mental pictures of dipping a banana in molasses.... hmmmm? But once the toes are curled - have you tried having her just stand straight up? I realize that's not the normal response immediately following an orgasm - but that usually does the trick to work out my cramp. Then she could crawl back into bed for the cuddling part. lol

Cramps

Also see if she is getting enough calcium. I get really painful cramps in my feet and legs when I don't drink enough milk etc.

Hope it helps!

hm.. Maybe try doing it underwater? A warm, relaxing oil bath might just help.

Update

I again want to thank everyone for contributing their own experiences and suggestions to help us with this darn toe curling problem. During my time as a browser in "Lit", I've noticed that in nearly all cases, people don't have totally unique experiences. It seems that someone else has always had a similar issue, concern, kink, desire, etc.

I was also hoping that this thread would provide others who have a similar problem to get some good answers too. From at least one of the responses above, it looks like it has.

Here's a brief response to some of the suggestions:

I have been able to relieve the curling and cramping by slowly, but forcefully uncurling her toes. It takes a couple of minutes. Of course, afterwards I resume our sensuous cuddling. Unfortunately, the damage to her full enjoyment of her orgasm had already been done.

She gets lots of calcium already. She consumes mass quantities (thank you SNL Coneheads for that phrase!) of skim milk every day.

We have "done it" in swimming pools, hot tubs, showers, and many other fun locales and have been standing, on our sides, doggy-style, etc. Rarely, however, does she get so relaxed and into it that she achieves any orgasms in the water, or while standing. Occasionally, she has had a toe-curling orgasm when we've had sex on our sides in the spoon position.

Please keep the sharing of experiences and suggestions coming. Thanks.

might i suggest magnesium?

i had this problem for many years, both during sex, as well as other forms of activity, and my doctor back then put me onto a magnesium supplement.

stopped the cramping completely, and another benefit has been reduced menstrual cramping also.

i think most calcium supps are fortified with magnesium, so that's why the calcium ones also work.

sold here in australia as 'dolomite'.

and i hadn't heard of potasium being effective, but when i was in town today, i checked and almost all the potasium supplements sold here have magnesium included.

calcium and magnesium tablets

u can chew them and cramps go away in about 20 mins...

talk to a doctor about what dosage should be taken over a long period of time though... and check to see if its ok with other meds etc...

but they work for me when i get leg cramps...
