Bailey

Another year of school was about to begin. The classroom was set up, name tags were on every table and cubby, and her lesson plans were (for the best few weeks at least). Woodland animals adorned the classroom in random places as decorations. Moose, fox, deer and squirrels. She loved woodland creatures and had based hr classroom decor that year on them. Bailey Hart looked around the room one more time just as her assistant, a sweet older lady named Mrs Barnhart came shuffling in, whistling a tune.

It was Bailey's third year as a pre-k teacher and every year, Mrs Barnhart ha been her assistant. She didn't know what she would do without the grandmotherly lady. With a big smile she gave her a hug.

"I think we are all ready finally..." Bailey said, glancing around the room one more time. Just then the bell rang. Kids began to fill the hallways as they got off of buses and entered the school. Bailey quickly smoothed hand over her pretty, purple and yellow flowered, knee length dress and went into the hallway to await any starts and parents who were bringing them to their first day of school.

As soon as their feet hit the floor that morning, it was the same old story. What a way to start off a morning than with an attitude about something? Jason stood up and ran his hands through his hair and over his face. "God dammit Lori. Is this ever going to end? Will your ass ever wake up in a good mood?"

He walked into the bathroom and shut the door. He turned on the sink and splashed water on his face and began shaving. He finished up and git dressed then headed down the hall to wake up Jacob. This was going to be his first day of Pre-K. It had been damn near impossible to get him in bed the night before because he was excited about going to his new school and meeting his new teacher.

Jason got him up and got him ready as well and they headed out the door without so much as a goodbye or fuck you too from Lori. He was trying everything he could to stay there because he wanted to be there with his son unlike how it had been with his sperm donor. The man didn't even deserve the word father. But the love between he and Lori was long gone and had been for a while.

He pulled out of the driveway and headed for the school. They finally pulled up and he parked and got Jacob out and they walked through the front door. They passed down a hallway and turned a corner and he saw a very beautiful woman standing in the hallway. He walked Jacob up to her and smiled. "Hi there. Is this the Pre-k classroom?"

Bailey watched as an extremely cute little boy with the name tag "Jacob" and his father turned the corner into the pre-k hallway. She couldn't help but notice that the little boys father was pretty adorable as well... But then again adorable wasnt really the right word. He was downright hot.

She gave them a bright smile. "Yes it is, I'm Miss Hart". She offered her hand first to the father and then knelt down to the boys level. "I bet you must be Jacob" she said, grinning as Jacob looked astonished. She tugged on his name tag and his lips formed a small O.

"I have a Jacob in my class this year... Is that you, Jacob?" She addressed the question to Jacob but it was obvious she was askin his father.

The first thing he noticed when they walked up was her eyes shining when she smiled. Damn it had been a while since he saw that. Even though it wasn't for him, it was still a nice thing to see. She reached out her hand and he shook.

"Hello, Miss Hart. I'm Jason Turner." He watched her kneel down to Jacob and smiled when he saw how astonished he was about the whole deal. She asked Jacob the question and he was just standing there in awe. Jason laughed and knelt down next to him.

"Say yes ma'am Jacob. You've got to be polite. She's going to be your teacher and you're going to come see her every day so you better make friends with her really early."

Jacob spit out "yes ma'am" really quick and gave a quick smile then he turned and ran on into the classroom. Jason laughed a little then looked back at Bailey. "Well it sure seems he'll be ok. Just let me know if he gives you any problems or issues." He smiled at her and turned away.

Jason Turner was gorgeous. That was a known fact as of that moment in time. "I'm sure he will be fine. We are gonna have a lot of fun.." She smiled and he tuned to make his exit. "Oh!" She called. "Mr Turner, who shall we expect to pick Jacob up after school today ? Just so we know who to expect".

And if they could expect to have this incredibly eye candy around quite often or not? She sure hoped he was an active part of Jacobs life because having someone like him around a lot would be an awesome treat.

She took Jacob in the classroom then and began getting him settled in. She showed him where to put his book bag and lunchbox and where to sit. Pretty soon more kids trickled in and class got underway.

As he began walking away, she called his name and he turned back around to listen. He made it a point to keep eye to eye contact whenever he was speaking to someone. In his line of work, he used it to determine whether someone was lying or not. Reading eyes was a particular skill he as proud of having.

"It will be me. I'll be the one dropping him off and picking him up every day. And please, call me Jason. Mr Turner makes me feel old." He smiled at her and walked out of the school. He headed to his office to get started on some files. This job had it's ups and downs depending on what a case involved.

He leaned back in his chair and rubbed his face and looked up at the ceiling. "Another fun filled day in paradise." He sat back up and got to work.

Bailey smiled and waved Jason off before returning to her classroom to start the day. It was a day full of adjustments for children. Some weren't used to being without mommies and cried half of the day. Others were eager to learn and kept asking when they would begin to learn new things.

Even though it was wrong, bailey felt herself getting attached to Jacob. He was the most adorable little boy and just melted her heart. He offered to help her throughout the day with any task he possibly could and he was just a joy to be around.

She found herself eagerly awaiting Jason's return that afternoon for multiple reasons. Not only was he the parent of her favorite student in class but she found herself seriously attracted to him which was a problem. He was married she was pretty sure and also the school had a policy forbidding relations between a teacher and her current student's parent. It always seemed to caused problems so the school had forbade it.

His work kept him busy today. He spent most of the day running around and getting questions answered with a few chances for photos to be snapped. All in all, it went by pretty quickly. He glanced at the clock and seen it was getting close to time for his son to get out of school and he was all the way across town.

He closed his folders and turned his car around. He pulled up at the school just a few minutes after school had let out. He walked through the doors and made his way down to the classroom. He walked up and knocked on the door frame and saw the teacher turn towards him.

"Hi again Miss Hart. How was he today?" He asked her as Jacob came running across the floor to him.

Bailey grinned as Jason knocked on the door frame and Jacob squealed in delight at the sight of his daddy. "Hi Jason! He was a gem, biggest helper of the day. We learned a lot today, right Jacob?" Jacob nodded enthusiastically and she grinned.

"How was daddy's day away?" She asked, a playful lilt to her voice as she spoke. Jacob was scrambling to try and climb up into his fathers arms as Bailey thought to herself she would like to do the same then immediately chastised herself for the thought. Inappropriate.

He was married to Jacobs mother. "We are looking forward to tomorrow" she told him. "There is also a homework assignment in his folder. It's an "about me" book to put in our library. He just needs to draw pictures of paste photos of his favorite things; family, toys, sports, pets. The fun stuff" she smiled again and winked at Jason.

He pulled his son up in his arms since he was trying to climb up him anyways. "You learn a lot today buddy? You like your new school and teacher?" He shook his head yes to both. He turned his head to the teacher and smiled when she began speaking to him.

"Daddy's day was pretty busy actually. A lot of running around town. How was Miss Hart's day, hmm?" She began telling him about the homework assignment. "No problem we'll get it done and I'm sure that he's looking forward to tomorrow as well."

He started turning and was about to say bye to the sexy teacher and stopped. He turned back with a smile on his face. "Say, does Miss Hart have an about me book too?"

Bailey smiled at him. "Actually Mr Turner, I do". She winked at Jacob this time. "And it will be out in the library tomorrow, won't it Jacob?" Jacob beamed at his father.

"Yeah! But she already told us some of it! She has a dog, and her favorite flower is a sunflower! That's a big yellow one she said". Bailey was pleased that the child had been paying attention during class.

"You got it, man... Hey can you do me a quick favor and go find my jacket behind my desk?" she asked with a smile. Once he squirmed down and ran towards her desk she turned to Jason. "I like to get to know my students. I know you said that you will be the one transporting him to and from school... Is it ok to ask... Is mom in the picture or is it just you?"

She was curious for more than one reason but truly wished to know for Jacobs sake as well.

"You do have one huh? Well, the kids get to see it tomorrow. I would like to read it sometime. You know, just to get to know a little about my son's teacher." He smiled at her knowing she probably didn't believe a damn word he said.

He let Jacob down to run after her request and watched her step up next to him asking about his mom. "Well, yes she is but that's as far as it goes. We're not married and have tried to stay together just for his sake but it's constant turmoil between us. Neither of us are happy."

He stopped and took a breath. "Oh damn I'm sorry. You probably didn't care about the whole story."

Bailey frowned slightly as Jason talked about his relationship with jacob's mother. Not out of disapproval but out of sympathy. She could completely understand why two parents would want to try to make it work for their child's sake but sometimes it just couldn't be done.

Her own childhood had been plagued with a mother and father who despised each other and her father ending up leaving when she was five and never looking back. So she totally got where he was coming from.

"I'm sorry things are like that for you at home. And hey I don't mind listening" she said with a genuine smile. "You know what. If Jacobs dad wants to know more about me he can".

She went to her desk and pulled out her homework book, walking over and handing it to him. "Just bring it back for me in the morning?" She asked with a smile.

He listened to her sympathize with what home life was like. "Thanks Miss Hart. I figure if certain things happened through the day, it would help you understand a little more, knowing what it's like in his home. You seem like a really good teacher and person."

He watched her walk to her desk and pull out a book and head back over to him with it. He reached out to take it by the sides and his fingertips brushed against her wrist and hand. "Yes ma'am, we'll bring it back. Don't worry about that."

He got Jacob and they got ready to leave. "I hope you have a good evening and we'll see you in the morning." They turned and left the classroom and school. He got Jacob buckled in then climbed in the driver's seat and picked up her book. He looked at the front, "Bailey. Hmm.", then began flipping through it before they left the school lot.

Bailey's "About Me" book revealed quite a bit of trivial information about her life. Her "family" was her mom and her dog. The dog, a beautiful female American Bulldog named Schooner, was also featured on the "pets" page.

Her favorite flower, as Jacob had said, was a sunflower, and her favorite activity was horseback riding. On the "Words That Describe Me" page, she had written outgoing, optimistic, fun-loving, caring and friendly. Her favorite color was green and she loved chicken Alfredo.

After Jacob and Jason left she quickly straightened up the classroom and headed home to eat exactly that. Leftovers from the night before. She ooh care of a little paperwork and then turned in for the night after walking and feeding Schooner. It had been a long and fulfilling day, and she fell asleep straight away, not awakening until the next morning when her alarm sounded

As he read through her book, he kept smiling at little things she had put in it. He finished and closed it up and laid it over on the seat. He began driving and headed home, stopping along the way to get supplies.

They finally it home, ate dinner, and put Jacob's book together. There were pictures of his two dogs, Charly the beagle and Dec, the plott hound, his favorite foods, and the fact that he liked to sing along to the radio.

Jason finally got him into bed that night and crashed Himself. They woke up the next morning to the same drama and got out of the house. On the way to school, he pulled into a store and they ran in and bought a small potted sunflower and headed to the school. They walked in and down to the classroom. They turned through the door with Jacob carrying the pot and saw the teacher standing by her desk.

"Good morning Miss Hart."

Bailey got to school early the next day and was straightening up the classroom when she heard someone enter-five minutes before the bell was set to ring. She turned and saw Jacob holding a beautiful potted sunflower. Her heart immediately melted.

"Oh my gosh. Good morning! Is this for me?" At the boys nod she leaned down and gave him a huge hug. "It's gorgeous!! Thank you Jacob!! I'll sit it right here On my desk! Why don't you go put your things away?"

When he left she turned to Jason and smiled again. "You didn't have to do that. Thank you so much. I love it".

Hey eyes sparked as she spoke to him. "Hey, by the way we are having a "community helpers week" next month. May I ask what your job is?" She was curious if he could help out in their week. It would mean more seeing him and also some alone planning time perhaps.

Jason smiled as she took the flower and sat it on her desk. He watched his son run across the room to put his things up like he was told and turned to her when she walked up to him smiling.

"Yeah I know I didn't have to but thought it would be a nice gesture after allowing me to read your book." He flashed a quick smile and listened to her ask about helping out.

"Community helpers week huh? Well that sounds like a great idea. As to what I do, I'm an investigator for a law firm but I'm pretty sure I could get away from that for a while to help out if you need it. Probably not the whole week but I will shoot for a couple days at least. Would that work?"

Bailey smiled as he said he would be happy to help out. "Patent involvement is a really big thing here. We love having parents come in whenever they can, even on regular days, just to hang out and socialize".

Especially gorgeous parents like him, she thought to herself.

"You anytime you have any questions or just was discuss Jacob's class work and grades feel free to ask me. I am willing to meet with parents at anytime, here.. For dinner.. Wherever" she smiled in a friendly manner at him.

He crossed his arms over his chest and smiled as he listened to her. "Did you just say dinner? Hmmm, never heard of a teacher willing to meet a parent for dinner before." His smile broadened.

"I tell you what though.....the helping out sounds like a fantastic idea." He pulled his wallet out and pulled one of his cards. He flipped it and wrote his cell number on the back and handed it to her. "You figure out when you would like to meet up and discuss some ideas and you can reach me there." He smiled and turned to walk out. "Talk to you soon Miss Hart."

He looked back at her and smiled as he rounded the corner.
