Pegasus' Wings (Mecha Lounge)

Welcome. What will you be drinking today? And what thinketh thee of the latest ideas?

Ice water, please and the Thundercats looks interesting. Personally, right now? My head is stuck in Egypt. *grins*

*slides a pitcher and a glass down the bar* It just so happens that I was thinking the ancient legend is that of Bast. More specifically, I think that Bast should have been an ancient Thunderan.

That could work. Especially in a fantasy setting. That would be a twist for Bast. *smile*

Ideas are fine.
And I'll have a "Red Comet" Please.
*a strange looking red liquid with sparkles in it slides down to AM*

Yes, I thought you'd like that. Still pondering much. For instance, after watching a few episodes of Thundercats earlier, I have come to the conclusion that Mumm-Ra was once a Thunderan.

You know...

Some may not like to think in terms of Thundercats, per se, but you could write it where either 1. She's a tiger and the rest of the team are cats or 2. Where they all can shapeshift into cats when they need to. Depending on you target market. Some people don't do furries or anthros even. The second option would give a wider range of people something to consider. Same basic ideals though.

Well, the Thundercats are an odd type of character. They're not quite Anthros, but nor are they Nekomimi. They're far closer to human than either in form, though they have claws, fangs, and cats' eyes....

Actually, after a bit of thought, I have thought of something remarkably close to what they are. They're remarkably similar to the Beast race from Phantasy Star Universe. Humanoids created through genetic engineering. Generally bigger and stronger than humans, but their entire bodies are teeming with nanomachines that act as their immune system (it would also explain the weakness to Thundranium, which could cause some sort of EM interference with the nanomachines).

Lit's being a bitch at the moment. Yeah, I can see that. I mean, they look like walking talking Cats. I wouldn't have defined them as humaniods.

Well, humanoid means of a vaguely human form...arms, legs, fingers, toes, etc.... In this case, the only really distinguishing difference is the ears, the claws, and the eyes (though some of them also have feline shaped noses)

Well, whats the difference? Not animalistic enough nature? Physically, I just realized I play my anthros very like the Thundarans. lol

lol. Honestly, I think they're closer to human than anthro. They definitely have rather animalistic natures, but...*shrugs* They're definitely not anthros physically.

What makes an anthro then? To me anthro means a humanoid animal hybrid. Generally human shape with animal characteristics like fur, feathers, tails, ears, muzzles, personalities. Some can lean more to the animal half.

Well, to me an anthro is a what you'd get if you forced an animal to our level of the evolutionary ladder, without losing the majority of their characteristics. For humanoid shape (upright walk, same basic limbs) but with fur, a tail, ears, and so on. SWAT Kats is a good example of Anthro.

nvm thats right. Just looked em up again. Been a looong time. The Thundarans are way more human looking than I remembered. Though some. like the young one or if i remember right panthera, the older one, had more animal than the others it seemed.

Panthro looks significantly less human, yes. Not sure about the kits. Or the old man who's name escapes me (not Jaga, the one they find with Benghali and Pumyra)

If it makes sense... They look like alien anthros. Like the wild not human not fur kinda hair on the kits. The face isn't really human, or animal. its a blend, n then some.

Like on Tigrah or Benghali. Or Pumyra, come to think of it. *nods*

Laying on the shoulder of one of my Gundams talking with the AI while I wait for people to show up today.
