People use Facebook as a dating site?

People have used social media as dating sites going back to when Myspace was the big one.

The original "social media" goes back even before internets.

The yearbook at my high school became a game of figuring out who liked who (who liked you) based on how they signed yours, and seeing if you could get someone to like you based on how you signed theirs.

It worked a bit backwards though. The strategy for guys was to see if you could get girls to sign your yearbook, rather than to just run up to them and draw your dick on theirs.

The problem with that is that I received my yearbook in the last week as my time there was ending. Most of the students were going to various colleges the following September, so that caused geographic problems. One girl I knew was going to Pennsylvania while I was remaining in New York. A two-month summer romance was not very likely!

In addition, it was a specialized school that admitted students from all over the city. Even if they stayed in the city there could be problems, because they came from neighborhoods in four of the five boroughs.
