Nope, I think it was just fine. Damien would be too emotionally shocked/charged to react quickly enough. Especially since the other man was way stronger and quicker than he head thought.
Ok, yay! Cause I was kinda hoping that would actually play into a good friendship later. Like, Damien probably won't ever feel comfortable leaving Cora alone without someone that he can trust can and will protect her.
He doesn't know all the normal people things, but he can do them sometimes. I had half a mind to have Sabastian sit up like some kind of spooky ghost and have him say "blood" him being able to smell it on both of them.
Hmm. Let's keep it ooc for now, and use it for a legit spooky moment. Like maybe if they find an encampment they actually feel really comfortable and happy with, and then Sabastian wakes up to the smell of blood.
Oh jeez, that would be spoopy. Since he also can sense other zombies within about... maybe half a mile to a mile away, I think at some point I'm going to have him freak out and get everyone in the car, taking the wheel himself and speeding away.
That would be fun, but what if...it wasn't zombies? :O
Also, this military encampment they're going to come up on, are Cora and them going to hang out there for a short time before moving on? Cause if they do, we should totally have the soldiers throw a party with music
I think sensing infected plus Damien having his own cabin might be a good enough motivation, especially if the soldiers don't really seem to have their shit together, maybe?
>If not zombies
What about, like, raiders? XD or crazy church folk? XD
Or just some crazy guy with a machine gun, hell bent on watching the world burn.
Edit: Ooh, what about this?
What if the base was only set up to study the virus/infection, and not actually meant to rebuild, and some drunk or drugged up soldier accidentally infects himself during the party? And then as he's getting sick, Sabastian senses that? That would also give Vin a reason not to leave right away, seeing nothing wrong immediately, but also not understanding why they want to leave since Sabastian can't directly tell him what's wrong.
