Is there a school or something where ya get trained to do this? Hood peircings, I mean. What are the academic prereqs? Do you need lots of math?

I have a vertical hood piercing with a curved barbell (14g, I think). I have the same barbell in as when I first got it (a little over a year ago)

I still love it, but I'm more used to it than when I first got it and I miss all of the unintentional "buzzes" from mundane movements.

Will changing the jewelry increase the sensations? If so, what do I change to?

ok, that's one of the things that can, and does happen, with genital piercings.
not to everyone, mind you, but definately the majority.

one of the things you could try is changing the balls on either end (they screw on) to a slightly bigger size, or even to something that's gently textured.
you could also go back to your piercer, who will need to check your anatomy, and discuss the option of having the bar changed to a CBR (captive bead ring).
that can work really well, because the CBR tends to move from side to side and can give you back the little 'buzzes'. especially if you wear pants without knickers!

i tend to alternate between a bar and a CBR, but my piercing is horizontal. i'm thinking seriously about changing out and getting a vertical instead. lol - but that means a couple of weeks without anything in at all, and i'm not ready to take out mine yet!

definately go back to your piercer, explain what's happening (trust me, we've heard it all!), and get their opinion.
that should always be your first place to look for advice .... not that i'm not flattered that you're all now asking me!.... but i don't know your anatomy, and so can only offer suggestions, nothing absolute.

usually, you do an apprenticeship.
and yes, you do get to practice on real people (under supervision.)

well, for starters, you need to be able to push a bloody great needle through someones most delicate anatomy WITHOUT groaning aloud because you can sympathise with their pain!!!

i love piercing guys - apart from the fact that i charge more if i'm gonna have to hang on to the ol' fella, - but guys almost always come into the studio all macho and shit, take one look at the needle, and behave impeccably from that second onwards!!!

I know MLadyPain swapped her labias from 14's to 10's to renew sensation but going that big over your clit probably wouldn't be the best option
Maybe I should come by & tug on it with my teeth a few times a day to trigger sensation??
