Pinups Beautiful Art

INDEED!

Some of the biggest women I have seen are some of the best dressed, most beautifully kempt women out there. I'm jealous --_-- I wish I knew how to dress like them...I'd even agree to using makeup if I could figure out how to use it like they do.

I got told this morning by my hubby, as he nuzzled my tummy, "Your like a marshmellow! So soft and squishy!" It made me laugh! I'm about as pale as one too LMFAO!:D

Well, I am certainly no stick, myself but no man I wanted ever wanted me to be one. ;)

Sticks frighten me....they make me want to chuck hamburgers at them....For some reason they dont seem to like it that much...they keep squealing something about 'hot cheese'.....odd...

I'm a huge fan of pinup art, and almost always use a pinup of some kind as my av.
Hildebrand, Elvegren, and Vargas are my favorites.
For those who enjoy the art I'd suggest www.thepinupfiles.com to peruse some classics as well as up and comers of the genre.

That is a good site, I love ...ok FINE so I cant FIND one of my fav galleries *pouts and pokes at the thread*

I know I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE
Frank Frazetta,
His passion for that big hipped woman figure is amazing!

I do believe one of his paintings was up the page a bit....the valuptuous woman in the purple shift...

Came across this one, by Greg Hildebrandt. I love the hint of the man 'behind the lens, watching' ...:)
:rose:

RIGHT ON!
Squeezable is best!
YES!!

And I remember there was alot of hubbub about women feeling things..*sigh* how cruel... Ah well....

Anyone ever seen a movie where these two modern teens transport into their favorite 50's tv show...something 'Ville.....Anyhow they get there and shake things up. As things start happening, people are freed of their social restrcitions, a soda jerk realizes his dream to become a painter, to use COLOR.

And a housewife discovers she is tired of just having dinner on the table for her stiff (not the good way) husband. She has a fling with the soda jerk, falls in love, and might I add discovers a bit of delight in the bathtub on her own! As these things happen, every person who listens to music and dances, or paints, or does somethin 'wild' begin to turn to color.

Hehe, its a cute movie...bugger whats the name?!

Pleasantville is the name you were looking for-sorry I'm so late with it.

A film that didn't get the kudos it deserved. It treated a number of important things in a way that made you laugh while getting the point.

(and yes, the look on the mother's face in the tub scene was priceless! )

Pinups were another way of showing everything in that era wasn't vanilla. ;)

A Saturday morning bump and snuggle for the delicious Snuggle Bunz and her delightful thread.

:D
