BlackDahlia69, Sweet thing she is wrote me a very nice note asking me about how too do a index. I have written one the link is in my signature... but I think I will redo one for The Darkroom Lounge and add a how too for offsite hosting of pictures linked to thread on lit..How too do images too. As there already is a how to for resizing pictures.

Anyway... I have a few minutes before nurse shows up tonight to check that I'm still alive.

Basic How Too : INDEX

Here are instructions:

You want to index your pictures.

1.) Click the 'Edit' button in your first post of the thread, where you want the index to appear (most people have it in their first post. but it can be anywhere)
I like to open new window for this Full Edit. image

2.) Go to the first pic attachment, and open it in a new window or tab.

3.) Copy the URL of the attachment you just opened from the address bar. image2

4.) Click on insert link button on the "edit window" paste URL address for picture. image4

5.) Repeat steps until you have add all the pictures you like.

6.) For special look you can add titles... type of picture... Colors .. Fonts any name so to break up the index.

7.) Or do as I do when I do one for someone just number them. ( You can go back and edit them later)

8.) Save ..Submint the edit page. (ONE THING I DO BEFORE I DO THIS IS CUT/PASTE THE FULL EDIT AND SAVE IT IN NOTEPAD. Something lit's servers mess up and does not make changes the first time. And for a time there was a size limit on post. I find it better to have backup, so I do not need to redo it again.

9.) It's best to do index from the start of the thread, not later as it can be a bear to go thru each page and picture later.

If you open images in post 3 and 4 you can see the step by step of doing this.

I have been asked how to put image in post so written a

HOW TO DO IMAGES:

First open the image when click on QUOTE button

Once QUOTE WINDOW OPEN
Cut address for image you would like to add to your post

Click on image button

When window open and paste the image address. When ok.

There your image (picture) is in your post. You can type before or after it.

This is what it like after I added text to the post.
