"Your Highness! Your Highness!"

Queen Xai turned from her reading to look at her chambermaid quizzically. The woman was full out running towards her and for a moment the Queen knew panic. She stood and put down her book. "Mibel please. What is it? Dear Gods woman catch your breath you look near faint." Xai pulled her chair around so her maid could collapse into it. Xai began fanning her with the book while Mibel sucked down gulps of air.

"Your Highness. There's an aircraft that has crashed into the deep sea."

"What?!"

"Yes, your Highness." Mibel nodded enthusiastically. "Come I'll show you." Mibel immediately stood slightly embarrassed to have used the Queen's chair. Xai nodded and followed the girl to the cliffs. It seemed the whole country had turned out for this amazing feat and they immediately parted as Xai walked closer. The two suns glistened on her caramel skin warming it. Her dress was of a metallic design, but it was as light as air and would lift from the wind coming off the deep sea.

Xai waited, but did not see anything except she could tell something had fallen and could barely glimpse the shadow as the craft sank deeper and deeper. Xai took a step off the mountain and then another and another until she was walking on air. It wasn't air exactly. It was her metal dress. It could allow her to travel into the air, but only so far. If she went too high up her dress would short out and she would go plummeting back to Ontaria. Her race was an advance race and dealt heavily in metal and had accomplish some of the most amazing things. Her race was also a gentle, kind, and brutally honest race. Her kind did not lie, cheat, nor steal. It was a foreign concept that such a thing was even possible.

"Ontarians look!" The queen pointed down to the deep sea. "Something is coming. Quick get help, blanket, food, and water." As Xai ordered her people quickly did what was told. Some stepped out off the mountain and their clothes not as good quality as hers would plummet before coming back online and walking on the air. Xai stayed above the rest over looking things and issuing commands as fit.

History of Alternate universe Gamma, Earth Delta

From the personal files of Dr. Kodachi, 2037 A.D.

June 31, 2037

It's been three years since the start of World War 3. This war was first started because natural resources have become scare and the United States invaded Canada for wood. Europe invaded the Middle East for the oil they were hoarded. Japan was left alone for a short while until the United States decided that our electronic technology was more important to them then us. I was the first to propose the need for a super soldier of sorts. It took a few weeks for the committee to finally ok my proposal. I and my team took refuge in an underground base in Africa. It seems to be the safest place. I have even heard of rumors of the possibility of launched nuclear weapons.

July 1, 2037

The super soldier has been started. The DNA of a human was fused with a black dragon. Many had thought dragons were just myths, but some remains had been unearthed while this base was being dug up. A lucky stroke for us. The fertilized embryo was placed in an incubator and placed under 24 hour observation. I predict that the soldier should be ready in a year. Hopefully there will still be a use for us in the world, or the war will have ended.

September 25, 2037

The subject is growing faster than we predicted. He has already grown to the equivalent age of a human teenager. The two DNAs have fused together very well, causing no problems at all with the subject's growth. I believe I saw the subject's eyes become that of a dragon's, but that might have been my imagination. Equipment was set-up and used to begin speed teaching every bit of knowledge currently known to man. I do not know how much his mind will soak up, but hopefully it will be enough to enable his survival.

December 4, 2037

The subject has reached the full growth equivalent of an adult male. There is no signs that he is a half-human, half-dragon. I ordered him off of the teaching equipment because we ran out of material to show him. At this rate, he should be ready for a test run....The alarms...why are the alarms

The good doctor's writing was cut off due to one reason. Getting the lower half of his body ripped away by a time-space vortex tends to be be a nasty way to die.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zion's first moments of truly awakening were to see fluid all around him. He was suspended in the middle of a tank in greenish fluid. A mask was over his face so that he was able to breathe in the strange substance. As he managed to focus more, he noticed several white faces peering at him. Images and knowledge flowed through his mind. Where did this come from? How did he know how to use weapons? He wasn't sure, but he didn't like where he was.

The fusion had an unexpected side-effect where his heart was turned dark. His mind was filled with anger and hate, hate for those around him. He growled for a moment as he tried to hit the glass with his fist, but the fluid only served to slow him down. He wanted out, needed out. This desire was enough to trigger his magic. A dark surge of energy exploded from him, shattering glass in all directions. Blood-curdling screams filled the air as chucks of glass sliced into the scientists, leaving them fatally wounded.

A strange glowing object which was being studied by one of the scientists was struck by one of the pieces of glass. It's origins and exact purpose were unknown, but the hit was enough to activate it. Zion tilted his head as it began pulsating a soft white glow before he was suddenly hit by lightning, his vision going dark. A moment later, a large dark vortex engulfed the lower portion of the base, plunging everything through the time-space continuum.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The supply ship called Running Wind IV was but an innocent victim in the turn of events above the Planet Ontaria. A large vortex ripped through the automated ship's main cargo bay, releasing it's current cargo. Large shards of metal flew out, ricocheting and destroying everything they hit at such high speeds. A few chunks even managed to rip into the main engine room, destroying the main engines.

Blood and human remains spewed forth, coating everything inside the cargo hold. Zion himself was spit forth, landing unconscious among the carnage. The vortex disappears seconds later, leaving an out of control ship. There was no crew aboard, so the ship plunged into the atmosphere straight for the deep sea.

Xai waited and watched as the man came to the surface. Her people waited for her to tell them to go to him or not. She stared at him intrigued that he looked so much like them. She would have sworn he was Ontarian if she hadn't known any better. With a nod her people rushed forth placing blankets around him and ushering him to his feet. He didn't have their technology so they walked beside him and when a hill was too much to climb they simply combined their efforts and lifted him.

"Take him to the Homestead. Mibel?" Xai turned to Mible. "Prepare a room and a warm bath from him. The water is chilly. He must be cold."

"Yes, my Queen." Mibel hurried down the path and to the Homestead where the Queen lived. She hovered for a bit before heading to her own home and began issuing commands for all sorts of food. She wasn't sure what this alien ate, but she wanted to make sure that he was well fed. It did occur to her that he may be hostile, but her world hadn't dealt with anything like that since the early days which was more than 3 or 4 millenniums ago. She hoped to the Gods that he was like her people in more than just physical traits and had their mentality as well.

"Your highness he's here. We gave him a room and there's a large bath in the center for him to soak."

"Send him 3 chambermen to see to his bathing and other needs. Make sure they are meek and weak looking. We don't want to think he is prisoner." The word prisoner sounded odd to Mibel and the Queen's ears. They laughed at the outlandish thought and the Queen returned to her duties while Mibel fetched men to see to their guest.

Though he seems to be alert and on his feet, Zion was anything but. His body was on autopilot while his mind was in a jumble. He had been given so much information in his mind, his mentality was out the window. at this point, it would take time for his mind to readjust to the ways things were, mainly were he was currently at.

Physically, he was well-built and muscular. His muscles weren't overly developed, but he was at physical peak. He was going to be like a overgrown baby, mostly operating on autopilot. He never said a word the entire time, his eyes unfocused.

He was very passive as the three chamber men attended to him, bathing him carefully. After the bath he was offered food, but he made his way to the bed, his large six foot frame falling on his back and falling asleep once more.

"He has gone to bed, Your Highness?"

Xai blinked quickly trying to take in that information. She wanted to say he was rude, but he was an alien and probably badly hurt. He needed the rest and she should be accepting of that. Xai nodded. "Was he badly injured?"

"No. Not a scratch. He was very lucky indeed. And ..." Shatara blushed and Xai found it odd for one of the healers to blush so. Xai kept her gaze locked with Shatara's and implored her to speak. "He is very put together. Much larger than our men. In size, stature, and ... everything." Shatara's blush deepened to a beautiful yellow hue.

It took Xai a moment to realize and she felt herself blushing. "I see. Let him rest. Have everyone shut down for the night and we'll make sure he eats in the morning. If he wanders the hall at night make sure it is allowed. I want him to feel not threatened while he is here. My doors will be locked as always."

Xai retreated to her room and brushed her tresses as she pondered what to make of the day's events. "Lock door." Her door immediately shut down for the night. The heavy metal clicking together and a huge bolt slid into place. Only she or someone who knew the passcode could get into her bedchambers. Xai opened her windows and began singing. Soon other voices joined mingling together in a soothing lullaby.

Zion groaned in his sleep as the jumbled images continued to ransack his mind. He had been unable to pin anything down, thoughts and ideas fleeting before he could catch them. He tossed back and forth in the bed, unable to truly rest.

One of the chamber men thought some fresh air would help him, so he opened the windows for him. They all left the chamber quietly, a little fearful of his actions. The sounds of the singing soon reached him, beginning to quiet his troubled thoughts. The melody put his mind at ease, helping him to sleep better.

It was nearly dawn when he slowly opened his eyes. The light shone through his window on him, causing him to wince a little. He sat up slowly, every muscle in his body crying out in pain.

"Where am I at?"

There was no response. Zion was alone in his room and Xai had ordered it that way. She already had a feast of a breakfast prepared and hoped that the rising aromas would smell delicious to him and would wake the alien man.

"Your Highness. Should we take precautions against such a man."

"I heard he was huge."

"I heard he didn't eat."

Xai listened to her people in the meeting room. They were reasonably concerned. She raised her arms and they immediately settled down. She stood up addressing them all. "Ontarians. We are not beasts. Yes, he is huge. No, he did not eat last night, but you saw what he had lived through. Would any of you been strong enough to eat after an ordeal like that?" Xai paused letting her words sink in. "I have not seen the alien yet, but have been told he is bigger than our males. I am weary of such a man, but I do not think he means us any harm. He is one man. We are many. Peace Ontarians."

"Love Ontarians," they said back in unison completing the Ontarians motto.

He really hadn't expected an answer, as memories of the night before roll through his head. He chuckled for a moment as he remembered the scared looks of the chamber men. He shifted and moved from the bed, exploring the room carefully. He soon found the small balcony off the side of the room.

He shielded his eyes against the morning suns as they peeked over the horizon.

"Two suns? I am definitely not on Earth anymore. Ah well."

He seemed to have no sense of modesty, standing naked on the balcony. Actually it was more that he felt more free beside he was not confined in the cold cyro-liquid the scientists had placed him in. At the thought of the scientists and their faces, the rage he had felt in the tank returned. He held his head with both his hands as he let lose a bestial roar that had never been heard on this planet, that of a dragon. It took a moment for him to get himself under control, lowering his hands to his sides.

"There's no need for that now. I am free to do what I want. Now to find something to wear."

Xai had just smiled at her people after the motto when s loud beat like cry rang through the air. A few of the women gave startled screams and the men looked determined, but scared as well. Xai had to admit her own heart was thundering in her chest. Her people looked to her for the answer and Xai had to admit she didn't have one. "Our guest is an alien. We might have to get used to his thunderous cries. Or gag him in the mornings." Ontarians laughed at her joke. They wouldn't gag him if that was his choice every morning. They would accept him as he is.

Xai turned to the side. "Go prepare our guest. Make sure he is bathed, dressed, and ready for food."

"Yes Your Highness," the 3 previous chambermen said in unison before heading up the stairs to where their new alien guest was located.

"Ontarians I know it is not protocol to eat before our guest is seated, but it may take awhile and I am sure he is not used to our 32 hour days. He slept pretty late, so let's have brunch." Xai led the group to the royal dining area. This table could sit 800 comfortably. Though there were only 300 or so people here wanting to meet and get a first hand impression of their guest.

Xai sat down and the rest of the Ontarians sat down in unison after her. A servant came to Xai and sat down a plate. Her servants knew what she liked and already had a plate ready for her. Xai nodded and then everyone began politely asking for this and that as they ladled their plates with food. Xai picked up her spork and began eating. Soon after people began eating. Conversation rang through the air, but the volume never went above a nice buzz.

Zion gave up on the clothes as he realized that he was still sweaty from the stretching on the balcony. His body wasn't used to the amount of sunlight on this planet, and even the same amount of time outside had started to darken his skin.

He was in the middle of bathing in the large tub when the door opened and the three chamber men came in. He could tell they was nervous and scared, just from their fidgeting. One spoke and his voice wavered a little. Though what he said was spoken in a language Zion had no clue about.

"We're here to get you ready, good sir."

He tilted his head for a moment, as all he heard was a strange language. Zion sighed for a moment.

"Great, now I know I'm not on Earth. Hmm...You mind saying something else?"

The three Onterians seemed just as confused as his speech. They looked at each other for a moment before speaking again.

"We're here to get you ready, good sir."

The sounds were familiar to him as he just relaxed back into the bath, trying to match to the multitude of languages he had been implanted with. One of the other men tried to make a move towards the clothing, but Zion just shook his head.

"Maybe If try random combinations?"

They went back and forth for nearly an hour, Zion trying different languages out on them. None were successful, so he finally just gave up. He slipped into draconic tongue, which sounded like a bunch of hissing and growling to the three men who stepped back from him in fear.

"You know, this really doesn't help me at all. Someone is just going to have to teach me."

At this point, he was fed up and shooed the men out the door. After they left, he went to the few pieces of clothing they had left. All the pants looked too small for me, and several of the shirts were too tight for him. He finally decided to rip the legs off of a pair of pants and were them like shorts. He ripped the sleeves off of a shirt and wore it with the bottom two buttons buttoned.

The three men were still waiting in the hallway, so he motioned for them to lead on.

Xai was still at the table when everyone settled down. She turned and saw the alien man was coming into the dining room. Xai stood up and addressed him. "Welcome. I apologize we started before you. We are very early risers." Xai saw his frown and she looked to the chambermen.

"He does not speak our language. We cannot seem to figure out what he speaks."

Xai looked down the table. "Hermes. You study linguistics. Mayhaps you can help?" Hermes stood and approached the man. Xai also approached him wondering what he spoke, where he was from, and so many other questions.

"I am Hermes," Hermes said to get the ball rolling. He just needed the man to say something. All Hermes got was that frown again. "I am Hermes," Hermes tried in a different language and another language and another. Until it was obvious Hermes was starting to get a little frustrated and put out. He was trying to work in front of a crowded dining facility and the alien wasn't cooperating.

"Okay, thank you Hermes. We'll try again another time. Maybe our friend is just hungry and we should let him eat first." Xai excused Hermes and gently placed her hand behind the man's back making sure not to make contact and waved her hand in front of her so that he knew to go towards the dining table.

"Please. Eat."

Zion followed the chambermen into the dining room, looking around for a moment. It was quite impressive, though he didn't really have anything to compare it to at the moment. He raised an eyebrow at the strange alien female who approached him, speaking in their native tongue.

He looked to the linguist who approached him, and began trying to communicate with him. Though he didn't show it, he was amused by the strange male attempt to communicate with him. Things were definitely going to be interesting for him.

He looked over at Xai as she moved closer, but didn't touch him. He watched her actions for a moment before looking at the offered spread. He grinned and moved to the nearest table. He dove right into the food, eating quickly.

It was almost an hour before he finished eating, leaning back in the chair he had chosen.

"Not bad, not bad."

He looked over at Xai for a moment, thoughts already forming of what he could do with her.

Xai watched the man eat and eat and eat. He reached for things, he grabbed everything he wanted and just took it. Yes, she had offered it freely, but he was past being rude. He was ungrateful and she wondered if he had survived or if he had been thrown away by his people. She looked and saw her people mirrored her expression. That wasn't good. Xai thought for a moment and finally came up with a good explanation. She addressed her people.

"Remember. He had just crash landed yesterday. Maybe before that he had no food. He could be starving and we're worried about manners. We're better than that." Xai smiled softly. "Ontarians. Welcome him. Help him."

Her people nodded and she saw them relax and go back to their own food. They laughed and giggled and conversations returned. Xai was happy and she sat back waiting for the alien to finish. Finally he leaned back and spoke. Xai crinkled her head. She knew that language. It was ancient though. She waved for Hermes to come here.

"He said 'not bad.' Why does that sound familiar?"

Hermes blinked and then he snapped his finger. He turned to the Alien. "I be Hermes. You who be?" Hermes was sure he was speaking the English language, but it felt foreign to his tongue. He waited not sure if it was working or not.

As he sat back in the chair relaxing a little from the large meal, he watched Hermes and Xai talked. He straighten up a little as the translator began speaking English to him. He mulled over an answer to the question for several seconds before speaking.

"Me? You can call me Zion."

He gave a little chuckle as the thought of the irony behind his name and the actual purpose for his creation. Actually that part was still a blank on him as to his exact purpose. His name stood for Heaven or Utopia, two things his dark heart definately wouldn't be providing.

"And.."

He trailed off for a moment as a reflection from his right hand caught his eyes. He lifted his hand up so that he could see the large shard of crystal embedded inside his right hand. The chunk took up most of the palm portion and he was amazed that he could still move his fingers like normal. It looked as if all the muscles and bone was gone, but he still had motor skills. He lowered his hand once more, just another mystery to solve.

Xai clapped her hands together and the rest of the hall burst out into applause. Hermes had done it. "Good job Hermes. You are an excellent linguist. You solved the mystery. So what is he speaking."

"An ancient language we haven't heard in over a few millennia. Some of our songs are still in that language. Though the meaning is lost. It's called English. I may have a book on it, but I will have to search for it."

"Yes, Hermes I would like that book as soon as possible. Thank you." Xai looked at the alien as he looked at his hand and placed it back down. She wondered if he found it odd people speaking something different around him. "I will also request you to be around and translate for him. You will be his guide on our planet."

"Yes, Your Highness. Oh and his name is Zion."

"Zion. How peculiar?" Xai looked at the alien as Hermes started speaking to him.

"This Queen Xai. I help you speak to people. Like to see our world, yes?" Hermes waited for Zion to respond as Xai smiled proudly listening to the strange yet slightly familiar language.

Zion just smiled as he watched the Queen and Hermes talk about him. He chuckled for a moment at the broken English spoken by Hermes.

"The Queen? A pleasure to meet you."

He grinned for a moment as he put an arm around Hermes's shoulder like he was a pal.

"See your world? All in due time, friend. First I need to know how I managed to get here. Mind filling me in, as it seems my memory is a little fuzzy at the moment."
Zion frowned as the story of the previous day was told to him, though he was enjoying watching Hermes squirm with his arm around him. He shook his head for a moment. He didn't remember anything about the ship, but it just might have clues he needed.

"And how soon will you be able to get the ship out of the water?"

Xai watched the two leave. She went back to her duties of solving squabbles and the like of her countrypeople. She also made rounds to visit some of the sick and to check on some of the workings around her country. She liked to be personable and get first hand occurrences of things that were happening, so she had a better understanding of the daily reports she read. Oh, it was all boring work, but work that needed to be done so that her world and her people's world was right.

When Xai returned from her outing she saw a perplexed Hermes standing in the foyer. "Hermes, what is it?"

"He wants to know when his ship can get out of the water. I told him I didn't know, but Your Highness..." Hermes trailed off not sure how to ask the question on if the ship was going to pulled out from the water.

Xai sighed. She understood his predicament. "I see. I hope he didn't have family back home as he's pretty much stuck here. The ship is lost and we don't have the technology to send him back in time. I'm not sure how he even managed to travel into the future. I'll speak to him."

Hermes looked greatful though he knew he would have to translate. "I gave him some of the books we give to our children to help them with our alphabet, to read, and to learn our language. Here's the books I can find on English." Hermes gave Xai the books.

"A...B...C..? The billble (bible)? Men from Mars Women from Venus?" Xai read the titles outloud before smiling and clutching the books to her. "Thank you Hermes. These should help. Where is our guest?"

Zion took one look at the books Hermes had given him, and tossed them in his room. Learning the language was something he could do later. For him, priority was getting ahold of any information that had came through with him.

He soon foundt the royal library and did his best to make the librarian understand what he wanted. It took a few minuates and he finally ended up having to draw out a boat riding on some waves. His drawing skills weren't perfect, but they got the point across.

He pulled out a bunch of the books in the nautical section, flipping through them. The language reminded him of a mixture between Incan and Egyptian languages, but there was something more to it. He shrugged it off and continued to browse the books.

He growled softly as he foundt picture after picture of boats, but nothing for scuba diving. The closest thing he could find was a suit shaped like the old style bell suit. He shook his head for a moment and closet his eyes.

"I will need something more modern...gimme a second."

If they couldn't bring the ship up, he would go down to it. He had so many questions, but he had to get plenty more taken care, like getting some clothes that actually fit.

Xai went in search of Zion. She was told he was somewhere in the castle. She just wanted to sit and speak with him. She needed to get tell him what was going on and hopefully he'll react well to the news. After a brief search she was pointed in the direction of the library. She walked inside and the Official Librarian came to her. "He's looking for some sort of water ship."

"A water ship?" It took Xai only a moment to realize that the water ship might be him looking for his space craft. "But it sunk to the bottom. A water ship won't help with that. It'll just float above it. I'm sure he can't hold his breath that long. Or maybe he can." The Official Librarian just shrugged.

Xai slowly approached Zion. She wanted to speak, but realize she had left Hermes behind. Turning to the Librarian she told him to get Hermes quickly. Xai sat next to the man with a gentle smile on her face. "Hatu. Me Xai," she looked a little flustered trying to speak his language though she had mistakenly said hello in her own. Finally Hermes came in and stood off to the side.

"Hermes explain to him that his ship is at the bottom of the ocean and that he has somehow traveled in time. Ask him if this is something he can always do?" Hermes did his best to translate, but he wasn't sure if the words were coming across clearly.

He opened one eye as Xai sat down and spoke to him. He chuckled softly for a moment, something being funny about her speaking, but he couldn't place it.

"I know."

It was at least a start for her to speak in something he could actually understand. He closed his eye again as Hermes translated the question from the Queen. He smirked softly for a moment.

"No, time-traveling is not something I can do. I don't know how it happened. And just because the ship is at the bottom of the ocean doesn't mean it's lost."

He opened the book to the picture of the primitive scuba suit and spoke in draconic for a moment.

"So advanced, and yet so stupidly primitive."

He switched back to English, looking between the two as he spoke.

"As I said, just because the ship is on the ocean floor doesn't mean it's lost forever. What's the caption for this picture say?"

He shook his head as Hermes told him it was the last suit made, and so long ago.

"Fine, It seems I will have to speed you up on things. I will have a design for a new suit in a few hours that I will need made as soon as possible. In the meantime, can I get a tailor or seamstress to make some new clothing for me?"

Xai knew what 'I know', meant and for a moment she was shocked. There were so many people in her land she assumed he would forget whom she was and actually expected him to reintroduce himself to her. It would be nice to try to communicate with eachother. In any case Xai suspected she wouldn't really like this alien. He just didn't have the manners she was accustomed too. Or the gentle nature of her people. He was a brute.

Hermes translated what the alien had said and nodded. So time traveling wasn't something his kind did. She didn't think so. They were an advanced race, compared to his race, and she hadn't discovered how to travel through time. "What does he mean the ship at the bottom of the ocean is lost. Explain to him that we have not ever been able to reach the bottom of the Lost Sea. It's gone. There is no suit or ship or anything that could reach that bottom without being crushed to death."

Xai watched Hermes try to explain to the man. Hermes turned back to her. "He wants a suit like this," Hermes pointed to the book. "And someone to make him some clothes." Xai had enough of this arrogance.

"He wants clothes he will work for them. He needs to find a job. Relay again that if he wants a suit made he will find a job and get someone to pay for this suit. I will not be insulted by his rude tone anymore." Xai stood up and with a whoosh of her dress left the library.

Zion was quiet while Hermes translated what Xai said to him. He had a slight smirk on his face as she turned and walked away. He enjoyed the sight of her from behind before looking at Hermes. It was soon apparent that this was all funny to him as he began laughing, Hermes looking at him quizzically.

"She expects me to get a...."

He trailed off for a moment as a flash of a memory came to mind.

Several masked covered faces peered in at him through the liquid filled container speaking softly.
"Should we add something else to his skill set?"
"No."
The voice was deep and full of confidence. A blurry face peered in, studying him for a moment before speaking.
"He was born and bred to be a soldier, a killer fighting machine."

"No, I was born and bred to be a soldier. My job is to be a fighting machine."

He grinned for a moment and then blinked when he saw how white Hermes had became. Zion shook his head for a moment and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Forget about what I just said. I do believe it's time for that tour you promised me. And while you are at it, you came fill me in on everything about your race. Minerals, technology, history, etc."

If anyone would give him the information he needed, he was sure Hermes would.

Xai was exhausted. She had worked hard and fast so that she could keep that alien out of her mind. Then again a good bit of her day was filled with alerting the other nations and a few nearby planets of their visitor. She knew everyone would want to meet him and had set about making plans for a huge ball in his favor welcoming him to their world. She had to make sure everything was perfect to keep the peace. Nothing hard for an Ontarian. They hadn't had war in over quite a millennium she doubted they would start now.

It was time for the evening meal and Xai gave a letter to her maid to give to the Alien requesting that in 3 weeks time he'll be ready for a gala event planned in his honor. It explained how the other planets and nations were attending to befriend him. She didn't think he could read her language and since Hermes was with the man all day she had some of the linguists apprentices decipher her language into his own. It took hours, but they promised he should be able to understand the letter. If not it explicitly told him to ask the Queen for clarification.

Xai was sitting at a small table set off of the main dining room enjoying her evening meal alone. There was a minstrel somewhere singing beautifully. Music meant a lot to Xai and she felt so much for it. If she hadn't become Queen she was sure she would have been a singer or a teacher in the arts. Oh how she loved music.

Since the Queen had left him in the library and never came to see him anymore, he figured she was done with him for the time being. It really didn't bother him too much, his mind on other priorities. The message was delivered to his room, but he didn't read it yet.

For the next week, Zion threw himself into learning the native language with Hermes's help. He amazed Hermes by how fast he managed to pick the language up, skimming the books rather than just reading them. The conditioning he had received in the tank did more than just feed him knowledge. Combined with the genetics he had, he was able to learn much more effectively.

He also used the time to study the history of the universe as it was written. Most of it bored him, since it consisted of the peace that all the races had managed to achieve. His search for the history of Earth reveal much to him. In this dimension, humanity had never risen to existence. The only lifeforms on the planet were animals, and it was deemed protected. He chuckled at the circumstances, but that meant he would have to be careful on how he revealed his past.

The scientists who were apart of the super soldier project taught him much, despite Dr. Kodachi's orders. He put those skills to use in his circumventing Xai's orders to get a job so he could buy new clothes. He had grabbed all his clothes, putting a few slight rips in them. He had Hermes guide him to a seamstress and used his newfound language skills on the woman. He merely explained to her that though her quality was good, unless she improved she wouldn't get much business. He didn't refer to greed, merely flattering of her business sense. He offered to let him be used as her practice dummy and reuse the torn clothing as well. He was a little surprised by how quickly she agreed, and he soon had a new wardrobe.

He knew that Hermes was reporting his activities to the Queen, but it didn't bother him. After all, Hermes was acting like a good little soldier for the Queen.
