What would a sexy plant person be like? I have this idea for an erotic manga involving one plant man's quest to find the sexual trigger that will make him burst into bloom, but I'm having difficulty picturing exactly what they look like or how they live. What does a plant person do all day, photosynthesize? Why might some kinds of plants be prejudiced against other kinds?

This is one of the more interesting things I've seen today...Well I'll leave my input. Some plants are more aggresive than others, Venus Flytraps and Trapplants come to mind. Both are carnivores and lure thier prey into traps only to kill them; I think of them as some sort of evil seductress.

Mushrooms also wield some strange effects, some make you hallucinate...Some can turn your liver into pudding. Lets consider these the wild ones, the girls that are so good you'd be willing to risk turning your liver into pudding just for the chance that they might have that good effect. There are also Mansita plants that can actually make your tounge salivate through thier secretions I'll let you think about that one on your own.

Thats a vivid cast of characters right there. Research some types of plants or just post here for more...As for what they do? I suppose they do photosynthesize, but they also pollenate...I'd assume since they are humanoid enough to be walking and talking they are human enough to do other things. Perhaps one of your plants enjoys pollenating herself? Don't overthink, don't be scared to give them human traits.

As for them being sexy? Thats up to you. I know dirt can make things quite erotic so you may want to bring that into play. Don't forget that this male plant probably has many roots so it wouldn't be hard for him to fill more than one orfice at a time...And from manga/hentai I've seen in the past tentacle rape is a reoccuring theme...

I think I've busted my brain all I feel like for now but feel free to post again if you need to drag a bit more out of me.

I imagine there could definitely be some fun with vines and roots. And I would also see a planet person being somewhat passive, waiting for a potential partner to come close enough to the plant, maybe with the help of visual and olfactory lures. You could have the plant's scent be an aphrodesiac for humans.

Also, you might have plants of any sort of disposition, ie: maybe one is very agressive and evil, another might be shy and lonely, etc.

This thread has even tempted me to write about something like this... A womanly flower, quite passive but seductive. Letting men penetrate her as her scent enthralls more to join in. At the same time an aggressive weed man, searching for the same thing as the flower but taking it instead. Perhaps they finally meet and he ends up killing her? Every good manga needs some blood i.e. Battle Royale

I think it most certainly could be an interesting story, especially because of the frequency in which flowers are used symbolically for female genitals.

The pairing would be plant person-plant person (of different species of plants). My plants walk around and some can even fly, so they're not passive, but other people are welcome to write their own stories about that. I'm thinking my plants will be male-looking hermaphrodites, and I'll use male pronouns.

I haven't seen much Farscape, but I posted about my idea in one other place and the first response I got was a link to pics of Farscape's Delvians.

Great, I can always use feedback, having someone else be interested in my story idea is the thing that motivates me the most strongly to keep working on that project. First, did you see my tentative character designs in the science fiction erotica thread? Eh, I'll just post them here again anyway to keep things organize, I'll make this be my thread for discussing my plant story.

And here is what I am thinking for the plot. I could use suggestion for details, especially about who and how the main character screws to acquire his black, red, and blue taints.


The tentative title of the story is "Hybridize". There are about 5 species of plant each of which has a color: I am thinking yellow, red, blue, black, and white. This is the color of their plant bits and tribal tattoos, while the skin will be various skin tones. There is quite a bit of racial prejudice among the plants, because in certain circumstances it is contagious - say a yellow person and a blue person have sex, they might find themselves tainted with a spreading stain of the other person's color. The main character is a yellow plant person. He is sort of stuck in a rut - the plan people need a trigger to metamorphose from the teenager stage to the adult stage. Pureblooded yellow plant people have wings - in the teenager stage the immature wings grow in two pods on the back, then grow and become useable at the metamorphosis to adulthood. But, hybrid yellow plant people will probably end up with twisted or disfunctional wings.

So flight=freedom is the prize the main character might get if he patiently tries to find a yellow plant person who can trigger him. But, he's depressed and lonely and all the other people his age are adults already, he's sick of waiting. And he has the feeling that no yellow person would be able to trigger him because they just don't seem compelling. The plant people instinctively feel very interested if they subconsciously sense that a particular other person could trigger their metamorphosis. The main character has never really felt that way until one day he sees a new black plant person, and is attracted to them. So in opposition to waiting/flight/freedom we have commitment/prejudice/sex.

Of course he has to hesitate over his decision a bit, but he decides to sleep with the the black plant person and accept the taint and be able to become an adult. The taint starts as a small tribal tattoo around his belly button which he can hide at first but spreads and intertwines himself with his yellow markings, while his belly starts to bulge in a pregnant-looking way. That's how the metamorphosis happens physically - the plant person's stomach grows and grows until it absorbs them into it, making an egg/cocoon thing. Then it hatches and the adult comes out.

Anyway the guy decides that watching the taint spread is not scary but beautiful and erotic, so he decides to try to collect all the possible colors so he can be a super-hybrid, a rainbow plant person. (He doesn't know white plant people exist though, he's never seen or heard of one. There's not a whole race of them, they're rare mutants like albinos.) So he successfully collects his black, blue, and red taints and goes through his metamorphosis and hatches into an adult. Then he has problems with prejudice and finding an adult role in society. He meets an equally outcast white plant person and they fall madly in love and have babies and live happily ever after.

I was thinking that they hatch into a form that's kinda pretty but useless for flying, and he thinks about how flying would be cool but only in a solitary, amusement park ride sort of way, and getting to be an adult is more important and a fair trade.

hello sunandshadow, absolutely love the idea, these are just some thoughts generated by it:

Female: Rose, Stunning beauty, vivacious colours, heady perfumes and more than a hint of danger (those wicked thorns)

Male: Bamboo, Tall & strong, pliable when green, can get hard as iron

I have tried and tried to picture the act of congress but my imagination for once failed me, couldn't get away from how plants do do it.

As for how they actually screw, I'm thinking I will make them hermaphrodites, basically thay have a hole between their legs and a dick on the front, so they have sex mostly like humans do.

I like the story so far... Has much potential... The colors bleeding onto each other is interesting, not sure if I'm to into it. But if done right I think it could work... I'll add more thoughts on it later. It keeps me occupied during the day... Its that interesting.

I wanted the contagious taint of the colors to be the same kind of thing as when in an erotic story the character feels that they have been dirtied/awakened/animalized/made into a different person from finally giving into their forbidden desires. I'm really glad people like the idea, it's very motivating.

Argh, I have been trying to participate in a group character-development on an art forum, but the people there have not been very helpful, all they want to do is argue about whether people are following the rules to the letter - ick! The people here have been much more helpful! So, maybe now you would like to help some more?
