I'm wondering if the 'distaff' writers on this site have made some good stories about regular women getting past the BS of their 'playah' boyfriends. Call me naīve but I was 'hearing' one of those 'cracked record' tropes where the guy is saying, "Oh, baby, don't be like that. It didn't mean nothing. I was just ____ and she was there. Oh, I'll make it up to you. You know at the end of the day you are the only one..." And other tap dances. I realized that so many ordinary women, connected with ordinary guys, have a gremlin in their heads that whispers, "Stick with him. You are lucky to get anyone at all. Better a scoundrel than nobody." And other ill winds. Love to see lots of stories where a woman finds...not Mr. Right (or Ms, Right) but the savvy to know she is not 'less than' and 'lucky to get'.

Not sure that as an adult I've known many women who would stick by a guy that broke the understandings of their relationship. Women I've known are generally independent and have enough confidence in themselves to go their own way when they need to.

Have I written a story specifically about that? Not that I recall.

I remember reading a story here that started with the wife MC kicking her husband out for cheating, taking a long bubble bath and then dating Mr Perfect. The sex was good for her but it was just as much about how well things worked out - the neighbours all agreed she should have done it years ago, her kids all loved Mr Perfect etc. It was very obviously a catharticly written piece.
