The PG can be full of rumors. Lots of times they are referenced to in Dear Litster, Random Thoughts, Dear X ....etc threads and we either have to piece them together like detectives or ask someone else.

This thread is for anyone that's heard a Lit rumor and wants it confirmed/denied/or more information.

Explain to me why it's super such shitty move. Being up front and giving the truth about what's already out there is a bad idea? Unless people like having inside information.

I will say that I address any rumor I hear about a person directly to them , in this case if she's really gone that's not an option.

So an addendum - only post your rumor here if the person that it is about is not here to ask them direct.

Maybe it should be renamed - Are they really dead?

There was this old, creeper fucker on the forum. He was a real dickhole. He played with all the ladies and he thought he was king shit when, in fact, he was just A shit. He was threatened by this much more funny, charming and youthful guy. He liked to talk about how awful this more funny, charming and youthful guy was. He really got his Depends in a bunch when he would post in his thread. He was super jealous of him, I guess.

I guess this was more of a historical account rather than a myth.

Now, regarding some of anger in the reply, I'll take it all as directed at me, I'll apologize in advance if that was a misread on my part.

As an apparent fuckhead that doesn't have a clue let me share my thoughts. I'm amazed when people present themselves as the owner of a friendship and because they were "best friends" they are feel entitled to decide who knows what. Well guess what, PerkyT (and I will always refer to her as that because that was her name when we became friends) and I were friends. Not best friends, not necessarily post on the boards back and forth friends but we were friends through PM. And we were truly friends, no naughty fun, no late night rendezvous, we just enjoyed and appreciated each one's humor and intelligence. We were the type of friends that could not chat for a month but pick up again. I knew nothing of her personal life nor did she know anything of mine. We were just PM message friends.

So when I started seeing posts and inquired on my own, I heard the same facts as you stated. And as she and I were friends, i wanted to know more. Rightly or wrongly in your opinion, but I wanted to. And wanting to know more shouldn't be looked upon with such anger.

When I see things posted, things like a crying unicorn or posts about sad news it catches my attention. But at that point, like it or not, it's public. That's not a me problem for wanting to know more, that's a you problem because it went public.

This wasn't supposed to be about drama, I was looking for a way to learn more about someone I liked as a friend. Was my execution flawed, many seem to think so and I apologize for that.

The only person who really holds the truth about Perky is Perky. She decides who knows what. The danger in this thread is that it welcomes rumors as truths and then forces someone into breaking a confidence.

Having been the subject of rumor and being backed into an uncomfortable corner, I would agree with how many people already handle rumors.. by going to the subject and asking with genuine concern. If it's not genuine, after all, why ask?

I am glad the thread achieved it's intended purpose, I really have to start paying attention to this place more. I am WAY out of the gossip loop. Probably a good thing though. I am a pretty happy person and drama seems to bring people down.

Great post Giggle. My concern was genuine. When Perky got hacked or whatever, I went to her and she told me. But as she isn't here to go to, I went this route. Once again, I'll own the flawed approach but allow the mistake, and if no one responds to the thread then it goes away like all the other bad thread ideas.

And in a court of law, discovery is paramount. Who would go in front of a judge with only limited information. They wouldn't , they would research, ask people questions......

For many people here, interactions are pedestrian at best. That's part of the allure of a place where you're not known by your name. The few people here who have shared their names and contact information, have done so with an earned trust and I respect what we share outside of here. With anyone else, as friendly as we may be, I appreciate that you don't attempt to learn more than I am willing to share.
