Playing the professor (closed for highjinx73)
Kimberly Grey knew that being a TA would be hard work, but Professor Woods had really been working her to the bone lately. Every afternoon was a flurry of grading exams, copying paperwork, organizing lesson materials, etc. Kimberly felt as if she was doing all of Prof. Woods' work yet getting paid none of her salary. She still liked her as a teacher, it helped maintain her GPA and it pretty much guaranteed her an A+ in the class so Kimberly never really complained much.
One day after class Kim was making her way down the hall to Prof. Woods' classroom, carrying a mountain of essays and photocopied literature. As a TA she tended to dress a little more professionally than other students, bedecked in a sleeveless blue turtleneck, white flared-leg pants and tan wedge-heel sandals. She kept her long brunette hair held back in a loose ponytail and wore very subtle, neutral shade makeup.
Upon arriving at the classroom she found the door was locked and a note addressed to her taped to it. "Sorry, I had to run to a board meeting. I'll be out for the rest of the day. See you tomorrow! --M. Woods" read the note in Prof. Woods' usual, fancy handwriting. Fortunately as a TA Kimberly had a spare key to the classroom, so at least she could get in and retrieve her book bag and notes. She unlocked the door, switched on the lights and crossed over to the desk, depositing her armful of papers. She sighed, resting a hand on one hip as she massaged the back of her neck with the other. A whole afternoon of doing Prof. Woods' work and she still had homework of her own to do this evening.
As she stood there Kimberly noticed Prof. Woods' glasses laying on the desk. Thinking it odd that she would leave her glasses behind, Kimberly picked them up, folded them open to inspect and then out of curiosity slipped them on. They didn't seem to change her vision at all and tapping the lenses with her fingernail confirmed what she though: plastic lenses. Kimberly had suspected Prof. Woods' eyesight was fine and she just wore these for show.
Looking around the desk she also noticed Prof. Woods' grey tweed blazer hung over the back of her chair. Kimberly picked it up, checking the pockets to see if Prof. Woods had accidentally left her own keys behind, then on a lark slipping it on. Prof. Woods had always had a pretty good fashion sense if nothing else. Kimberly walked over to the bookcase in the corner of the room to get a look at herself in the glass door.
(OOC: looking for 1 male to play the part of a new student, walking into the classroom to find our heroine all dressed up with the jacket and glasses, and mistaking her for the professor. All are welcome to apply, just PM me!)
