please explain butch/femme... and why be butch?

Lesbian seems more polite, is to dyke as bisexual is to queer, for me.

Gimme opposition! I'll pass on the mullet though.

When I see mullet I often think "straight woman with no fashion sense" but that's me. A few dykes I know can sport one OK, but usually they have to be grey/white.

Wow, this is fascinating to me. One of my best friend's sister is whatever one calls the opposite of a drag queen. She dresses in suits, tapes her boobs, short hair gelled back etc. She was one lovely lipstick lesbian but now even walks more like a man. It's a curious thing to see the transformation since we grew up together.
Me, I love the long hair, fragrance, curves, and all the girly package has to offer.
Proud to be a Lipstick lover!!!

Interesting question!! One I've never thought of before :) On a hormonal level women and men all have the same hormones. The only time there is a difference is when a woman is pg and producing HCG ~ other than that the only difference is the level of hormones the two sexes have. Even their organs when a fetus are the same until they mature more, then those parts shape into diff. things. But in essense they are still the same.

On a opinion/deffinition POV ~ I just think some have more Yin in their system and others have my Yang I don't really think it has much to do w/ their sexual preference as you see this in hetero relationships as well. I personally am attracted to the more feminine/girly women and the rough/trouble maker men. But it really does vary depending on the person ~ I don't like to limit myself simply based on how they look :)

butch or femme dyke or lesbian what it boils down to is we are all women.

i may like to dress up yet there are times i perfer the jeans and a flannel shirt so i go and say i'm femme/soft butch as it suits who I am. Dusty is a drag king.
