When you're in edit mode (to type a message) right where you want the word to be, stop and hit the 'globe and link' icon, type the word in the new window, hit ok, type in the URL in the new window, hit ok again.... After that, finish your message. I always preview post to make sure it looks right and the link works.... Took me a couple of tries, but it's kind of handy now.
