Politically Incorrect - But it's funny

Funny clip, Lime.

Sadly I fear that if she does run in 2008 she will win. Not because she is the best candidate, but solely because she is a woman.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying she isn't qualified, she may well be but I have yet to see the evidence of that. But it scares me that someone could be elected simply because she IS a woman.

Considering there are far more women voters in this country than men and women who have NEVER voted would likely register just to vote for her it is likely that no one could seriously have a chance against her.

Yes. Thank goodness no one's ever held power simply because he had a penis.

Thanks, caballo, you worded that better than I might have. I'd add: Irish penis, Texan penis, Italian penis, gay penis, etc. P.

I'd add Republican penis with a rich and powerful daddy penis. But, you know, that's just me being bitter.

Hilary in 2008 would (naturally) activate the Republican base, the Religious Right nuts, and the pro-Life/anti-Education hacks.

And on the left, the sorehead chauvinists (there ARE some) for nominating a woman, and Hilary would lose all the feminists who can’t stomach the associated Stand-by Your-Man horse puckey!

Nothing against the woman as she might really be, but judged on public reaction, if they pick Hilary for 2008 it will only prove that the Dems have a Death Wish!

For even further out plotting, consider this silly scenario I tripped over on a politico bulletin board.

In 2007 the Republicans and the Democrats trade concessions. The Republicans permit the Democrats to push through legislation that permits more than two terms as president, which would allow the Democrats to bring Bill Clinton back for a third term. In exchange, the Democrats permit the Republicans to run through legislation to make naturalised Americans eligible for the presidency, which would allow the Republicans to run Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2008.

The deal is made and the legislation is passed, but the Republicans outfox the Democrats. Instead of what they had promised, they run Bush for a third term, with Ahrnold as VP, in their final attempt to take over the Reichstag!

Me? I’m studying why a New Democrat isn’t Liberal, the difference between a Progressive and a vanilla Conservative, should I bring wine if invited to a Parti Québécois, and whether the Bloc Québécois holds block parties.
