Poll: Voters favor Trump over Biden in hypothetical 2024 matchup

Even Rasmussen's own polls (and they do not have a good reputation at all among those who know the science of polling) show Trump currently has lower approval ratings than Biden. You can see for yourself on their website.

Face it puppy, you voted for a turd.

I do have a soft spot for Gerald Ford. Talk about getting left holding the bag...

I've read he had more brains than he got credit for . . . but the best thing he could ever come up with in his term was printing up WIN buttons. As if inflation were a morale problem.

He did support gay rights, at a time when that was a really brave thing to do.

Hard for a Pub to get away with it now, even with the Log Cabin Republicans around.

Boy, they ain't goin' for subtle. "So, how many logs have you had in your cabin, Senator?"

I just might have voted for a real one if it were the only alternative to Trump.

Proving your worth to society. You were much better off under Trump. I know you're too unsophisticated, undereducated, and mentally harmed to comprehend it, but take it from someone of immense stature and edification who isn't, that unless you were into self destruction, you were in error when you voted for Joe Biden, and in doing so you harmed your fellow American and did your country a grave disservice. :D

I don't think that either Biden or Trump will be the candidates in 2024, so I wouldn't bother speculating on how well they would do against each other--other than to note that Trump never has won a plurality of votes and is highly unlikely ever to do so. Biden has in elections going back thirty years.

In state elections, big deal. He was roundly defeated the first time he ran for President when he wasn't afraid to speak in public.

You know nothing about my situation under Trump OR under Biden. More to the point, it's not just about me or you, it's about who's best for the country. Trump was a sick joke who did immeasurable damage to our brand on the world stage and who benefitted at home from his predecessor's success, even as he did everything he could to undo it.

And I don't care to get into a pissing contest over my education, but I'm probably quite a bit more educated than you are.

Trump heads to Iowa amid record high poll numbers in key 2024 state

Days ahead of his first visit this year to the state that kicks off the White House race, a new poll indicates former President Trump is more popular than ever in Iowa.

Fifty-three percent of Iowans have a favorable view of the former president and 45% hold an unfavorable view, according to a Des Moines Register/Mediacom survey released on Monday.

The release of the poll comes less than a week before the former president’s rally Saturday at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines. In his first trip to Iowa since he lost last November’s presidential election, Trump is swooping into the state whose caucuses for a half century have kicked off the presidential nominating calendar.

Trump, who remains very popular and influential with Republican voters and politicians nationwide, has continued to play a kingmaker’s role in GOP primary politics as he repeatedly flirts with making another presidential run in 2024 to try and return to the White House.

I did a quick poll and my Cat would vote for Morris, the Cat while my next door neighbor's kid would vote for Miley Cyrus.

Apparently Trump has not totally destroyed every last vestige of credibility in the Republican Party yet, so go ahead and let him run again. :)

53-45 is exactly the margin by which Trump carried Iowa last year. So he's not "more popular than ever" there; he's exactly as popular now as he was a year ago. If that holds true nationwide, he's on track to lose. Again.

If it comes down to it, I'll vote for Trump over Biden or Harris. Or Hillary.....but I'd rather see a new candidate, someone at least a little bit likeable.

Then stick with Biden. Whatever else he might be, he's likeable.

OTOH, he's also 78 -- I don't expect he'll be running.

Could we please stop perpetuating the other side's propaganda? There is no reason to believe this beyond the fact that it's very popular on the right.

Except that I strongly disagree with his policies and actions. Trump could be an ass, but I agreed with many of his policies. Biden is the worst President ever....

Look, in 2024, he'll be 82. Would he even want a second term?!

That's up to him, and there is no sign at all yet that he doesn't plan to run - except for the endless harping from the right, which is based on pure wishful thinking on their part. Don't feed the trolls.
