Almost daily some board dementedcrap posts some insta poll showing how Trump is behind the curve on one issue or the other. Usually it’s on a timely news subject that has not had time to fully mature with the public. They are essentially “knee jerk” polls. I’m not asserting that the polls are lying, nor will I defend the rightwing that does the same thing. It’s a game that anyone can play.

But here’s the thing, Trumps approval numbers have wobbled back and forth but they’re still in the comfort zone. Meanwhile the demetedcraps numbers remain irretrievably in the toilet. So what’s the take away from that? While Trumps supporters may disagree with him on transient issues they remain Trump supporters while none of those media and micro-poll attacks on him have translated into anything positive for the dementedcraps.

So like a parody of an Enya song, “Flail Away, Flail Away, Flail Away.”

The majority of independents still feel that taxes are too high despite Trump's promise to cut them.

Any lower / lower middle wage workers / retirees that didn’t see DonOld’s "tax cut" promises for the scam they were and voted for DonOld & the MAGAt republicans deserves their disappointment and destitution.

And that ^ goes for a whole host of other issues.

😑

We. Told. Them. So.

30% approval is "comfort zone"? Lol.

They do and here's why...

... that Dems will take their reps to task and hold them accountable while you MAGAts are in the most retarded cult in history.

Hope that helps 😘

Put aside your own biases for a moment.

Trump is a fascinating polling phenomenon. He has NEVER been popular with voters as a whole. But as wallstreetguy points out, 25 to 35 percent of the voting population is extremely loyal to him -- to a degree that seems to be without precedent in American history. The fact that he has won two presidential elections is fascinating. It says a lot about how weirdly divided this country is, and how the opposition party, the Democrats, have been unable to come up with a good candidate to oppose him.

Polls can change. I suspect the Republicans will get shellacked in November this year. But beyond that, it's impossible to say, because we don't know what will happen and nobody knows what the economy will be like in 2028.

None of that proves in any way that he's popular now, or that the Republicans aren't in big trouble in November. Remember, the "hidden deplorables" don't bother voting at all when Trump isn't on the ballot, and they are a big part of that base with which he is "incredibly popular". Maybe he is, but he won't be running again.
