Polymarkets Has Spoken: Mamdani has 82% chance of being next NYC Mayor. Cuomo 10%

As opposed to posting in support of Hamas and therefore in support of genocide? In that case we should not tolerate ANY pro-Hamas posts either.
Hamas purported "genocide" toward Israel has been mostly rhetoric.
Sadly, genocidal Israel's ethnic cleansing campaign towards Gaza has resulted in tens of thousands of casualties, many if not most of them innocent civilians.

Not that an Untermensch such as yourself would notice the difference.

No, once again you completely missed the point. Actually what you are doing here is dodging the point, like cowards tend to do. Go back and read your post. You explicitly promoted incinerating the entire population in Gaza, not just members of Hamas.

You promoted burning men, women, children and even Greta Thunberg, who has attempted to bring aid to this population.

Your post clearly violates Lit rules, and you should be held accountable. Similarly, posts that exlicitly advocate for killing EVERYONE in Israel should also be held accountable for promoting mass murder. Cite such extreme genocidal posts or STFU about how your post is no different from anyone else's.

Quit hiding behind Hamas statements, you little weasel. An entire population of over 2 million people can not be killed because of Hamas statements.

House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries finally gets around to endorsing Zohran Mamdani for Mayor of New York City.

Very anodyne announcement, critics say "it sounds like a concession speech".

Kate Wagner at mcmansionhell endorsed Mamdani.

At that blog she also took a swing at Trump's decorating, and more swings at Trump in her column at The Nation.

NYC developed an extreme level of infrastructure for extreme population density. Now people are leaving en masse. The remaining population is stuck with the bill for maintaining and eventually replacing vast and decrepit infrastructure. Residents are reaching for hopium, non-solutions, snake oil, etc. The city will become more unaffordable until it's mostly evacuated, and then maybe rebuilt on a more modest scale for a much smaller and more sustainable population, for its remaining time above sea level.

Yes wild that the City that welcomed the first immigrants with different ideas of going through this.

Your declaration is out of date by a couple of years.
New York City's population DID decline from 2020 to 2023, since then it has begun rebounding significantly.

2025: New York State Reverses Population Losses

In general I think what we are seeing is the American population self-selecting states based on their politics - Republicans and conservatives are moving out of Dem-run hellholes and into Red States, while Democrats are evacuating red states and moving to blue states and in particular into Blue Cities.

The real crunch will come when the oppressed Blue State rural hinterlands make serious moves to seperate from the blue cities and that will be when it gets interesting.

Cases in point - rural Oregon and Washington want nothing to do with Seattle or Portland and would prefer to join Idaho or Jefferson.
Northern Califrnia has a secession movement - the State of Jefferson
Most of non-LA/SF California is Republican.
Ditto NY State and Illinois.

So with the Islamofascist looking to be elected, I suspect a lot of lefties will flock to NYC and absolutely screw it. Anyone with money is goiing to be out of there so fast.....

It's going to be fascinating to watch NYC go down in flames

That's what people like you have been saying for a hundred years, about everything from unionization to minimum wages to child labor laws to gender pay equity to retirement benefits to...well, you get the idea. Funny how it never actually comes to pass, now isn't it?

And if any red part of a blue state ever succeeds in breaking off to form its own Republican utopia, they'll discover almost immediately that they can't have their cake and eat it too. At least not without the voters in Portland, Seattle, LA etc voting to save them from themselves every two years.

Red state hillbillies will never recognize, let alone admit, that the economic engine of blue cities finances their cosplay "rugged individualist" fantasies.

All well and good to be livin' off teh grid until meemaw gets a tumor the size of a lemon underneath her armpit, then its off to the dastardly big city where they got doctors 'n stuff.

When the Texas freeze of 2021 hit, it exposed these preppers for what they were: after three days they were whining to the news crews about lack of access to toilet paper and propane tank refills. They had a Derp-ton of cases of Dinty Moore canned beef stew though!

  • Population Growth: International migration has been a key factor in offsetting New York City's overall population loss from residents moving to other U.S. states.
Anyone with a brain knows what that means.

If the Communist is elected, the biggest business exodus in history will be next.

You obviously don't know much about city planning...
