You can start with some toys yourself before venturing with another person. We like graduated anal beads, and of course, use lots of lube. Once you get comfortable with that, you may be willing to try with a trusted partner.

Originally we got one of the cutsey jeweled metal ones... but that lasted all of 48 hours before I tapped out. He wanted me to learn to use it for long term wear, and the circular base with no give was just torture :/

It's interesting that you moved from metal to silicone, most of the people I've spoken about plugs with went the other way. Do you think you would have stayed with metal if you could find one with an appropriate base for extended wear?

Funny I come across this thread as I'm sitting here, working from home, distracting myself a little and sitting here with a plug up my own ass.

It's a fun way for me to keep myself horny and there's some measure of having my ass ready for her to play with that influences me to wear them. Ideally, I'd be able to wear them more often and with the new work from home, that's been the case.
